Nice view. Good service at the restaurant. Comfortable beds.
A little bit far from the main road. The road to get there is a dirt road.
The little Bungalows are basic but pretty and very clean. The food was extremely fresh and wonderful. It’s a heaven for bird lovers and rain forest explorers. We did the trail of hanging bridges and enjoyed it despite the heavy downpours. Its easy and self guiding. The place is an eco friendly hotel and they take it seriously.
I wish there would be a facility to clean off the muddy clothes and maybe have a room with a dehumidifier where wet stuff could be hung to dry. As in almost all hotels, also this one lacks hangers in the room or bathroom. If you are 4 people, where do you expect people to hang their wet towels or wet rain coats? Because hangers are never provided, the rooms become very uncomfortable as we try to find places to hang stuff to dry.
Beautiful gardens. Great location for visiting Rio Celeste. Great breakfast.
Fantastic surroundings and very nice staff. The park next to the hotel is an absolute bonus for this hotel.
Basic cabins but clean an with nice view. No internet in rooms.
This lodge is really all about location. Absolutely stunning views of Miravalles Volcano and the valley below. Staff were happy and very helpful getting us set up for excursions and attending to our needs (thank you for the cork screw!), and breakfast was delicious. We took advantage of the night tour, which we enjoyed, but the highlight was being able to step out our cabin door and walk the trails and canopy bridges without the crush of people - we had them to ourselves. Great gardens for birdwatching; perfect place to take in the sunset.
Our cabin (10) did not have screens on the windows, a mosquito net on the bed, or a fan. It was very hot and stuffy as we were advised to keep the windows closed at night. We did ask for and quickly received an oscillating fan which made a difference. But it would have been nice to have been able to open a window to catch a breeze.
