Pros: From our reception at the check-in desk to our departure the staff, services and lovely property and views was extraordinary! We would love to return for a longer stay next time we travel to this lovely resort across the street from the bay!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were comfortable and spaceous. Kids loved the pool and the staff was excellent.
Cons: There is no air conditioning and the rooms get out. Our room was positioned over the restaurant trash and employee smoke area so we could not keep the windows open due to their smoking and smell / sound of constant bottles being through in the trash.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the view, the location and our room was wonderful The staff was great I would recommend this place to anyone
Cons: The pool didn't look clean
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was outstanding, comfortable with a great view.
Cons: The coffee provided in the room was terrible and only enough for one day.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was absolutely amazing! So beautiful and a perfect stay! Would love to return!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed the Hot tub! We also enjoyed that there was a gingerbread display next to the check in counter where the kids could vote on which gingerbread house they thought was the best. They also had a spot the elf and take a selfie to win a prize which we thought was a great idea. The kids enjoyed that as well. Overall our entire family enjoyed our stay. The room was perfect and we must say, for the price and size we are going to recommend our family and friends to stay here. The view from the pool and hot tub was awesome and the fireplace in the living room area was cozy. One of the best places we stayed. Thankful for the experience to share with our kids during our Christmas vacation. The kids are still talking about our stay there.
Cons: The only thing we did not like was the smell of the room (Not the hotels fault). Seems like someone might have warmed up, or cooked some kind of fish in the room. The kids did not mind cause it reminded them of their Grandpas He does cook alot and with fish. The smell wasn't totally awful. We just opened up the room windows and patio door to air it out and get the fresh air in. Perhaps some lysol might do the trick. Other than that everything was great! We enjoyed our stay.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: My husband and I really enjoyed our stay! The room was fantastic and the environment was very peaceful and relaxing. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We had an awesome stay and enjoyed the restaurants and local people as well. Being right on the beach is a bonus, we were able to enjoy the amazing view/ sunsets from the hotel pool!
Cons: We don't really have any complaints at this time.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: the location is second to none! the quiet walk along the water in the morning is spectacular! Seals playing in the water and Eagles soaring just doesn't get better!
Cons: restaurant service left me wanting a bit. Slow, distracted. One breakfast we waited 40 minutes after being seated before drinks and coffee came out.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful area! (Great place for families and golfers). Big pool and gym. Loads of outdoor activities! Possibility to swim in the sea!
Cons: The rooms were a bit worn down but clean.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Privacy
Cons: Noise in agacent rooms
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Apparently we didn't get breakfast; just the room. We were not participants in the conferences. The lunch & dinner food at the restaurant was great! The large pool was exceptional, perfect temperature--large, comfortable locker room with nice products, sauna, steam room.
Cons: There were a few omissions: no wine glasses, difficulty with shower fixture, only one wash cloth when we got into room (but they got more promptly when we asked); also coffee mugs were small (they brought us bigger ones), fridge was set too cold and froze my fruit. By the way there is a gap of time in the morning between 11:30 -12:00 when no restaurants are open on the property. Not too bad unless you wanted an early lunch.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A nice laid-back atmosphere. Very comfortable and great staff.
Cons: Kids were playing on the beach at 11pm. It disturbed our sleep.
6.3 Good
Pros: Location, activities and amenities
Cons: Sauna, steam room and pool area out dated and didn't seem clean
6.3 Good
Pros: The area and scenery are beautiful
Cons: Rooms, restaurants, and amenities sorely lacking
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful view and lovely room.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Terrible mattress & uncomfortable pillows!! Did not sleep at all. Noise from people talking loudly in the hallway was heard all night long
6.8 Good
Pros: Enjoyed the property, pool and tennis courts. Dinner was great, noticed improvements in food and service since last visit in June 2018.
Cons: The room was dusty and there were cobwebs in the entrance of our room. No hot water for washing hands, long wait for hot water to shower. The outdoor game chest was in need of replenish equipment. Some of the things we loved were not maintained or not available.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is just a beautiful place that has everything a relaxing vacation spot can offer.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The location is great and the property layout works well.
Cons: The pub staff were rude and unwilling to be reasonable when they were at fault. The maintenance person made accusations without having proper information and it was very disruptive to the enjoyment of our stay.

7.5 Good
Pros: Great location. Very friendly staff.
Cons: The pillows were very uncomfortable.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The owners were very sweet. The TV had many channels. The place was quiet.
Cons: The facilities are old and haven't been updated and as such, had a musty smell. The bed was too soft for me and squeaky and had crinkly mattress pad and pillow covers that made noise. Some reviewers said it was near things of interest but without a car (or bicycle) it wasn't. Prices are high in Birch Bay and it was the cheapest place I found.
6.3 Good
Pros: Quiet. Good location in Birch Bay. The bed was reasonably comfortable, but one should note, it's a double, not queen size, very snuggly if you prefer more space.
Cons: Just a bit rundown in the unit that we were in, maybe they are not all like that. Really old carpet with stains just feels a bit grimy, but bed linen, towels, and bathroom were clean. Really hard pillows, not sure what they're made of?
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location across from beach access and very clean pool with toys. The owners are wonderful people! It’s the best value in Birch Bay!
Cons: It’s an older beachy motel, but has its own charm and clean

7.5 Good
Cons: It was a little expensive for being so outdated. It’s an old place but they have it looking as nice as they can.
6.3 Good
Pros: Location was fine. It seemed clean. Full sized refrigerator and a stove if you happened to have brought your own cooking gear and dishware. It reminded me of staying in roadside motels in the 50s and 60s.
Cons: Though some renovations were made to this old motel they seemed a little inexpert. There seemed to be little attention paid to the finer details like bedside reading lights, extra blankets or pillows, etc. There was no explanation in the room as to check out procedure, wifi connections, etc. This was a "King Suite" and a king bed really didn't quite fit in the room. At best, it seemed somewhat quaint. The owners would be well served to stay in some hotels to sample the amenities that travelers have come to expect.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: It was under renovation and the manager was very helpful. Gave us a nice suite for a great rate of regular price. Very dog friendly.
Cons: No breakfast, doors open to the outside, providing less security. Things were a bit in disarray with work in progress. Hopefully good renovation and lift done to motel.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: No breakfast
Cons: Folks checking out early in the morning could have been more respectful of others trying to sleep.
6.3 Good
Pros: We were moved to the Northside location which was a plus as it was closer to the downtown area.
Cons: The lighting was awful unless you left the curtains open but the ground floor location made it easy for anyone passing by to see in. And when it was dark outside the lighting inside was all we had. The rooms appeared to have some minor renovations done but still smelled heavily of cigarette smoke.
6.8 Good
Pros: Manager super friendly and sweet.
Cons: Uncomfortable and lumpy beds. Beds painful and difficult to sleep on. Woke up with headache and severe back pain. Showers are too short and very small.
6.8 Good
Pros: Good location, I wanted to be close to the peace arch park. Big fridge, stove
Cons: Very dark inside rooms, not enough lights. No ironing/table. The bathroom is super small, even you can’t bend under shower.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Great location.
Cons: Dirty room. No kettle. No breakfast
7.0 Good
Pros: Beautiful location with view of ocean. Felt safe walking my dogs at night in the neighbourhood. Excellent Chinese restaurant right across the street.
Cons: Could not get the tv to work. Manager not consistently on sight.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great!
