Cons:Smoky musty smell when checking in and all throughout the hotel except room thankfully. Staff at front desk check in were not service oriented. We were told over the phone to come check in at 12:00pm. Then got greeted by Jose at the front desk saying no check in until 4 pm. But he offered to reserve 2 nice rooms for us on 10th floor and come back later to check in. Then when we came back later around 5:30pm and checked in with Carl, one of our rooms had been given away and “supposedly” no other rooms available except for 4th floor with a horrible view of the top of a building and older part of hotel! We called him to complain and he said he was sorry but that was the best he had and hotel completely full!!! We asked to talk to a manager and he said he was supervisor and we told him we were not happy and the room was unacceptable and needed speak to the manager. After waiting quite awhile on the phone, Ester came on the line and was wonderful and miraculously found us a room on the 10th floor right away!!! Then we were satisfied and happy. This all caused us about an hour of wasted time!

Pros:Staff were very friendly and helpful. A lot to do in hotel and surrounding area. Prices were very reasonable.

Cons:We did the weekend kayak trip which leaves from and returns to the hotel when the trip is complete. Our vehicle, which was parked in the hotel parking lot while we were on the kayak trip was broke into and items were stolen.

Pros:The check in was a little disorganized although the staff were very friendly. It's a busy hotel with a lot going on and things to do. The setting is beautiful above Lake Mead. I stayed with my dogs and enjoyed my room. The bed was very comfortable, the king room spacious. It was very quiet with just a little triffic noise. I would definitely stay here again.
