Bed linen and towels were clean
Room was extremely dated, bath was stained, bath mat disgusting. Holes in the ceiling, damaged walls. Fair enough if it were a 2/3 star but for a 4 star hotel this was not good. Stayed for an event being held at the hotel and food was terrible.

Very reasonably priced room, good WiFi, Nice lunch at the bar
Drinks choice poor Ran out of gin and other beverages in the business suite/events hall Expensive wine and champagne, Waitress took some plates of colleagues when they weren't finished resulting in a tug of war (when my colleague stated she wasn't finished, the waitress pulled the plate from colleagues hand) Food wasn't up to standard for the awards evening (if it was like the food we got served at the bar it would have been amazing 5** But it was poor) Also got charged for a double and got given a single in a tiny glass. Bar lady refused to accept she had charged me for a double. Bed was very hard and uncomfy and our radiator at the room made a gurgly sound all through the night

Location opposite St Georges Hall, which was where we were visiting.
Some items on the breakfast buffet were a bit dried up. However, we did go when it was near the closing time, so it might have been better if we had gone earlier.
