We brought our 5 and 9 year old here and it was fantastic! The kids had a blast. The lazy river is shallow enough that my almost 6 year old could stand on his knees and his head was above water, so I didn't have to worry as much about his safety, and there are life jackets available, too. The other water park hotel in Brainerd left us scratched up, but we didn't have any problems here, except the typical ouches from the seams in the waterslide. There aren't enough tubes on a busy night, so we were all stalking the edges trying to get one for a while. The only thing I have to complain about is the cleanliness of the island on the lazy river. There was something that looked like a dryer sheet with some plastic something or other with it, and gum, and a band aid on it. I would have been better if they'd have cleaned that up. Also, if you are a stickler for hotel maintenance, you might be disappointed. Nothing major, everything worked, but the bear on the island was missing his hands, and there were little things in my room like a corner of the wall paper peeling up in the bathroom, etc. The room was spotless and the bed was REALLY comfortable though. Our room had the separate room for kids, and it was awesome on the outside, but really plain inside. It would have been way better if the treehouse theme would have continued on the inside so it looked like you were sleeping under a canopy of trees.
