Pros:This hotel isn't on the mountain but they make up for it with a free shuttle that they run from 8am until 12 midnight. Is all you have to do is walk to the lobby and tell them where you wanna go and they'll take you anywhere. When you're done just use the number the driver gives you and he'll pick you up. We checked out before we went skiing and they had no problem letting us leave our car and taking us to and from the mountain. They also have an awesome restaurant downstairs that should definitely be checked out if you stay there. The room was really cool. You can tell the hotel has old bones, but it has modern upgrades which make it really enjoyable. Beds were great, balcony was awesome to drink a cup of coffee on and watch the sunrise. Really cool hotel and probably the best value in Breck.
Cons:I wish the breakfast was better. They had cereal, yogurt and a waffle maker. For a day that I'm going to be on the mountain all day I would like to have some hot food, at least scrambled eggs and some meat.

Pros:The staff was extremely friendly, but there needed to be more of them! The front desk never answered the phone, because they were either taking bags to rooms or running other errands for guests. Old style charm. Loved being out of busy town, with easy shuttle access when needed.
Cons:Paid for a large room w/mountain view, got a small room w/ just an OK view. Lots of rooms have great rooms, I just wasn't given one of them. Since I paid for it, I felt I should have received a discount since I didn't receive one. When checking out another couple was given opportunity to select a room, wish they would have given me that opportunity. Restaurant needs a lot of work! Slow, slow, slow, and mediocre.

Pros:Everything was awesome. Although off the beaten path of the village it's worth it. The free shuttle to town and the mountain was very helpful.
Cons:The gps directions don't work because of the vertical gain/switch backs. Signage Could be better. A very minor issue compared to what you get.
