Cons: Everything was wonderful, nothing to dislike.
6.3 Good
Pros: I liked the rustic elements of the place
Cons: No air conditioning meant leaving the window, drapes, and front door open into the night, which meant folks in the parking lot could look into my room and those in the back ally. Very limited cable channel selection. Could hear people in other rooms and those walking out front. Shower faucet in room 24 had an electrical charge which created a shock when I touched it with my feet in the water. Breakfast was minimal, I went to the bakery after taking a look.
10.0 Excellent

7.5 Good

Cons: If you stay in the rooms in the very back you won't hear the traffic on the only street through town. Really pricey $140 per night plus tax It wasn't worth that amount but one of nicest hotels in this one horse town.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming old house. Spotless rooms, well appointed with antiques.
Cons: There is free internet, but the wifi connection was spotty and very slow.

Pros: Beds were great, room very clean. Everything simply worked perfect. AC, Toilets, showers, hot water, micro etc all worked as they should which is rare for a small hotel. Continental breakfast while small had just enough to satisfy. Take time to meet the owners. They are wonderful people.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: A nice stay for a fair price. Great location, spacious parking place. Simple but practical room, very clean.

7.5 Good
Pros: We did not eat breakfast there. The location was fine. The room was cozy and decorated very nicely.
Cons: There was very loud and constant noise from some area on the premises very close to our room. I would not stay in that particular room again.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The rooms are really big
Cons: The air conditioning is making lots of noise and it is just above one of the beds
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed, the decor, the patio off the room
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Close to Yosemite National Park. Comfortable bed! Clean room!
Cons: The room is worn down by age and is not worth the high cost. The breakfast was good, but you had to go and get in the reception and bring it to your room.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful surroundings right by the river! Would definitely recommend getting room with back patio and relaxing chairs.
Cons: I wish they would trim the bushes off back patio so every room has view of the river. Also, in the evening there were so many mosquitoes that we couldn’t sit outside or fish by our room!! Probably not much that they can do about that.
7.5 Good
Pros: It was big and had enough space
Cons: Smells a bit in the room, not new and modern
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place was a very pleasant surprise. Looks like a basic motel from the road, but the rooms at the back of the property have a lovely deck and a beautiful view of the river and the surrounding countryside. Very comfortable and exceptionally well maintained. Be sure to ask for a room at the rear of the property.
Cons: Breakfast was pretty basic.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: First, it was a great location, we could walk to restaurants and shops. Our very spacious room included the 'mountain view' and we loved the patio area. The lodge effuses a refreshing rustic charm and peaceful atmosphere which we so appreciated.
Cons: I would recommend larger soap bars or placing a soap dispenser in the shower.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were lovely and staff was warm and friendly
4.3 Okay
Cons: Breakfest was unacceptable
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great room. Friendly staff
Cons: Was not able to take advantage of the continental breakfast. There was no seating.

6.8 Good
Pros: The bed was comfortable and you could park directly in front of your own, little cottage, which was clean and well equipped. Experiencing the dawn not far away from Yosemite's entry was amazing.
Cons: The motel was directly located at a frequented highway. Thus, it was very noisy, even at night. Our cottage did not have an AC. As we were there in summer, it was really hot at night, although there was a fan. The whole site is a little bit old.
7.5 Good
Pros: Loved the cosy lodges, amazing views. Friendly manager who recommended us to eat at local bar Rhino’s which we really enjoyed and the town was a lovely old world American town
Cons: Small accommodation for 4 people, not a problem as a stopover but would be too small for an extended stay.
7.5 Good
Pros: I arrived around 1pm but the manager kindly let me check in.
Cons: The wifi was practically nonexistent.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: nice lodge, owned by a family, bed was maybe too soft but everything worked very good, we were able to do the check in even at 12.30 pm. there was a fridge, the coffe maker, and the tv. Very clean with a car park in front of the cabin
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I stayed here on a solo trip up 395 to a retreat. I wanted someplace quiet and inexpensive. Check. The cabins don't look like much from the outside, but mine was really nice and big! Given the description of "indoor camping" on their website I expected a more rustic room, but it was quite civilized, with a king-sized bed (I think), plenty of outlets for charging things (look in the nightstand drawer for a multiple-outlet thing - I didn't find it until I was ready to leave), a refrigerator, a coffee pot and an electric teapot for hot water. I forget if there was a microwave... The bathroom was small, but perfectly adequate. There was a decent-sized table with two chairs in the room. Outdoors there were picnic tables and fire rings. I said hi to my neighbors, who were BBQ'ing their dinner. I'd brought food, so ate at one of the picnic tables on the big front lawn. The scenery is spectacular. I was a little concerned about noise, being so close to the highway, but it was dead quiet there at night. No traffic at all, that I could hear, and I slept with the windows open. The only thing that woke me up was a chorus of coyotes in the middle of the night - just like at home! The family that owns and runs the place were very nice, low-key folks who seem sincerely interested in their guests having a good time in the area. I know they mostly cater to people going fishing, but their website also says Big Meadow Lodge is perfect for writers, and they are correct about that. I'm a writer, and I would love to spend a week here just being left alone to focus, think, and write. Maybe someday...
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location, privacy, the whole family in one room.
Cons: A little close to the road.
6.3 Good
Pros: Room was clean. Buildings older but everything worked.
Cons: Only downside at all was location next to busy highway. We knew this hotel was near road but hadn't thought semi trucks would roar by all night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a very clean and quiet setting, the grounds were neat and the cabin was clean and comfortable.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Close to the village, perfect for a stop between national parks
Cons: There should be plates and silverware at the houses.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The check in was easy and the staff person was very helpful.
Cons: There was alot of highway noise.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our first time staying here. New owners have been there since Oct 2018 and have taken good care of this older property. We stayed in cabin # 3. It was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed our 3 day stay. Beautiful views of the Bridgeport Valley and surrounding mountains. Close to town, close to Twin Lakes and Bodie State Park.
Cons: Because this property was built years ago, it is not equipped with air conditioning. However, the evening and night temps at Bridgeport are cool and with the aid of the ceiling fan and open windows, the cabins cool down comfortably. This property is also located right off Hwy 395, therefore during the day, there is road noise because of daytime travelers. But at night, road noise is much, much less.
7.0 Good
Pros: Private, quaint
Cons: Some further updates would be nice, right on highway

Pros: Super cute place! Very well kept and our room was spotless. I would definitely recommend to anyone.
7.5 Good
Pros: Beds aren’t that comfortable. Charge too much for the room.
Cons: Mattress and rate
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great experience! Helpful friendly service. Cozy atmosphere. Beds are comfortable!
Cons: The pillows were flat. They were so good there. This was the only thing wrong.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Convenient
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was cozy and very clean. There were ample towels. It was quiet in the room. The ac works great, the shower was a good one. No shampoo or conditioner, but they had tiny bars of soap. This is a small vintage motel that has been lovingly cared for, it exceeded our expectations for the price and the season.
Cons: Nothing, it was great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean newly remodeled rooms, nice tv’s, fridge, microwave & coffee maker in the room, cool outside decor, nice host, good snacks & drinks available.
Cons: No complaints
5.0 Okay
Pros: location
Cons: uncomfortable bed
6.5 Good
Pros: THe space
7.5 Good
Pros: Pet friendly—they gave us “dog sheets” to put on the beds for the dogs to sleep on. They do require that dogs be kept on leash and be well behaved and approachable; ironically, the manager/owner’s small dog charged my (leashed) dog.
Cons: “Free breakfast” was juice boxes and gas station pastries.
7.0 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Did not provide shampoo. Air conditioner cooled but did not work properly.
7.0 Good
Pros: Location was just what we were looking for. Staff provided rags for cleaning the windshields on our motorcycles.
Cons: Not ADA accessible; steps to get into the room
6.3 Good
Pros: Friendly staff Good laminated card showing TV stations Hand fashioned bow on Kleenex Easy to find WiFi password
Cons: AC was on all night and room was 77 degrees. (It was 57 outside at night) Bedspread and blanket were old and unpleasant looking. Refrigerator froze my water bottles. WiFi slow - 0.5 Mbps at 9 PM according to SPEEDTEST
Bridgeport Inn - Bridgeport - Building

7.6 Good (717 reviews)

When you stay at Bridgeport Inn in Bridgeport, you'll be in the historical district and 19.4 mi (31.2 km) from Bodie Historic District. Featured amenities include luggage storage, a library, and coffee/tea in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
7.0 Good
Pros: Excellent location right in the middle of town. Restaurant and bar make it easy to stay right there.
Cons: Room was small, bathroom was smaller! Not easy to miss hitting the sink when using the toilet! It's quaint, cute, an old place. Well taken care of, just has small rooms.
6.8 Good
Pros: The location was fine. Food goood.
Cons: I did not realize that the rooms in the hotel did not have bathrooms. 2 Showers with toilet. Two additional toilet rooms toward the front which were shared with the restaurant. Somehow this was not conveyed to me when I was booking, or I did not read the fine print.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect and the restaurant was amazing
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It was fun to stay in a historic property like this. The staff was very nice, and me and my kids enjoyed the sitting room, which included board games and a piano.
Cons: There were some problems with water temperature and pressure in the sink and shower, but that’s understandable given the age of the building.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Lunch at restaurant was very good. The location even though on Main St (Hwy 395) was quiet and tourist friendly. Staff was helpful and welcoming. Loved being in original part of hotel.
Cons: My room was in original part of hotel and did not have amenities listed in website (coffee maker, mini-fridge and microwave). Guests should be advised in advance (with booking confirmation) that they will not have these items. I brought milk and snacks that needed refrigeration which I had to throw out. Bridgeport is a very small seasonal town so there are no grocery, department, drug or other convenience stores. Nearest large store is over 50 miles away. The hotel restaurant opens at 8am and closes by 10pm so food options are limited. Coffee is not available in lobby until 6:30-7:00 am.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Food was excellent and staff attentive and l liked the atmosphere
7.5 Good
Pros: Good breakfast and dinner; bar and staff great
Cons: Gave Alana an ice pack to put in freezer overnight to keep my fish cold going home; staff could not find it the next morning. 2) Walls are paper thin - need insulation or sound proofing. 3) Need sign in shower stating that courtesy limits reasonable time use of "shared" showers; powder your nose and dry your hair in your room.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Location
Cons: False advertising. Shared bathroom room was about 50 sq ft and only really fit the very uncomfortable bed, no air conditioning/temperature control, NO FAN. Room was falling apart, we could hear all our neighbors, uncomfortable bed, too many bugs.
3.5 Mediocre
Pros: Located close to fishing spots.
Cons: The carpet in the room had huge stains. The towels in the bathroom had stains on them too. The lighting in the room was also not great.
6.8 Good
Pros: Sweet rooms and really nice staff!! You get a coupon code for either breakfast, lunch or dinner and safe 3,99$ each person
Cons: Room was way to small for 2 ppl, no AC
6.8 Good
Pros: It was nicely decorated. I like that the entire facility was rather vintage.
Cons: The air conditioner was very noisy. The TV channels were useless or non-existent. The real disappointment was the bathroom. The toilet was very low to the floor, lower than standard, and tucked in a tiny alcove next to the walled shower. There were no grab bars by the toilet, so I couldn't brace myself sitting down or getting up. The shower didn't have grab bars, either, and since I have a partial disability in my legs and back, and had nothing to hold on to in the shower, I had to take a "sink bath" instead.
4.3 Okay
Pros: Neat old place
Cons: Place needs much restoration. One of the two room we had was horrible in every respect. Breakfast way to expensive. Went somewhere else
