Room was comfortable, location was good - 15 minutes walk to Brooklyn Bridge. Clean and reasonable price.
One morning an alarm was going off for a couple of hours in one of the rooms and we could hear it quite clearly so I would say the soundproofing probably isn't brilliant.
Location & access is great!
There were some lovely members of staff - particularly the female bartender. The beds were comfortable and the location was good despite the noise from the building works.
Oh dear. On check-in the systems were down and we had to wait 45 minutes to be checked. The hotel took a preauthorisation from my card with a security deposit (totally normal) and then we were handed our room key. The room was quite small and not the room we had requested. The room itself had not been well maintained (see images) with awful scratches in the floor, wallpaper coming away and thick limescale in the bathroom. The safe was not working either. On check-out my card was charged again for the hotel stay - in addition to the preauthorisation from when we checked in. The hotel front desk informed me I would receive the preauthorised amount back in 5 days. 5 days later and still nothing back - I emailed 3 times and called and had no reply and kept being put on hold. The lady on the phone was very rude and patronising and had no understanding of my frustration. Almost a month later and still no response or apology from the hotel, thankfully booking.com stepped in. One of the worst experiences of customer service and has put a real dampener on my trip.
