A very nice flight. It arrived on time, and the plane was very clean and the staff was very professional.
Pros: Food vouchers
Cons: Significant flight delays
Cons: Very bad communications delays were not advised prior
Pros: The flight was quick and on time
Cons: Nil
Cons: Used a cattle car bus to board. Annoying.
Pros: The crew onboard was friendly, but the check in crew was average.
Cons: The plane was quite old and there were no beverages except for water.
Cons: I was bumped from the flight and left alone
Cons: They need to be more upfront, honest and to the point about the luggage policy. I was charged $65 for my check in one piece of luggage. Reading their website, may be I read wrong, it says you allow one piece of check in luggage. When I checked in for my flight, was told that my ticket was promotion.
Pros: Easy and quick boarding, pleasant flight staff and booking in staff. There was plenty of leg room. Was able to carry on way more than I should have so didn’t have to pay for stowed baggage!
Pros: Nothing, the entire experience was terrible
Cons: They cancelled and rescheduled my flights 3 times - both flights to and from Siem Reap. They didn’t have enough immigration cards, and they gave the ones they had to they Chinese customers while ignoring the westerners. The seats are falling apart. The plane is old.
Cons: To avoid the delay. To manage the lines that were formed both for checking in and to board.
Cons: 1 check in bag only policy.
On time departure and arrival
Pros: Check in and boarding was easy.
Cons: What’s the deal? Are we allowed to use cell phones during the flight? I think the announcements say, “No”. But the flight attendants don’t enforce it. So, which is it?
visa
Cons: No visa on arrival. Missed my flight
On-time with smooth landing
Pros: The plane was clean.
Cons: Flight was canceled with only a single email as notification, cost me an extra $160 to rebook at the airport
Pros: Easy
Cons: No food or drink
Efficient and on time
Pros: Boarded quickly and easily, arrived 10 minutes early and flight smooth and no issues.
Cons: Nothing
Charged us $100 for luggage
Pros: This was our third short flight in se Asia and our first to be charged for luggage. They charged $5 per kilo so we had $100 charge between the three of us for two baggage’s checked. The rest of the flight was uneventful. It was a short flight. Less than one hour.
Cons: This was our third short flight in se Asia and our first to be charged for luggage. They charged $5 per kilo so we had $100 charge between the three of us for two baggage’s checked.
Lucky the fellas was short
Cons: There was a short delay. No announcement. No idea what was going on. For a fifty minute flight it was ok.
Descent for the price
Pros: Friendly crew, organized check in and boarding process, sat on the runway for too long.
Cons: Not one free drink or even a tiny snack- no entertainment or WiFi, uncomfortable seats
Misleading Advertising and Mistakes
Cons: International ticket did not include any checked luggage. Charged us more for our luggage than the tickets. Flight attendees handed out the wrong immigration form to entire plane for China instead of Hong Kong. We Filled them out not knowing they were different. Waited online at immigration for 40 minutes only To be told we were given the wrong forms. Everyone had to go to the back of the line and wait again. They didn’t even provide free water on the plane. Terrible experience. Shouldn’t be allowed to advertise misleading prices on Kayak.
Snail pace
Cons: We went to queue up as soon as the counters numbers were on the board and opened, we waited for at least 50 minutes before we were able to check in. Very inefficient system.
Delayed 5.5 hrs
Pros: The plane was new. Boarding was fast cause everyone was upset.
Cons: The company knew that there were going to be a delay and gave everyone notices 3 days before due to machanical issues (which wasn't true becaused I overheard the captain talking about a scheduling problem that the company knew for days and didn't fix while we waited for transportation). My group was given a 2hr delay notice by email. Once we got to the airport and checked in the plane was further delayed. It was the last flight of the day. What was originally 7pm flight turned in a 1230am flight, 5.5HR delay. Arrived into Siem Reap airport at 130am, which was pretty much closed. Hotel tax and regular taxi/tuktuk didn't come out at this time. We were stranded at airport and was at the mercy of overpriced hustlers who charged 3x the normal price for a riding into town. They charged $10/person and put as many people into a car/van as possible. Are vanpool had 9 people, $90 for the van in total. The airline should have arranged transportation for us to correct the situation. The hustlers didn't give receipt, this we cannot make any claims. VERY DISAPPOINTED AT CAMBODIA AIRLINES!!!!!!!!!
Pros: Everyone was most helpful to us.
Worst experience ever unprofessional and uncaring customer service
Pros: The team's uniforms
Cons: Our flight was delayed due to weather. The airline drove another group for a different flight to their gate but the 14 passengers on our connecting flight were left on our own to run to the gate, only to watch the plane pulling away as we ran up. The airline service desk was unapologetic and did very little to help. Since my son and I had already used our one time entry visa into Vietnam, we were not able to join the rest of the group at a local hotel. We instead had to purchase additional tickets for a 1am red-eye. Our wait in the area outside passport control had no food or water and even though we asked they would not bring us anything to eat during the 7 hours we had to wait to get our boarding passes for the red eye.
Tuk Tuk with Wings
Pros: There's nothing I like about this ANGKOR AIR. You disgrace Cambodia and Cambodian people by using their names and provided a horrible service and poor plane qualities. I was scared once I had boarded. The condition of the plane is poor. Overhead bends were duct tape to stop from open during flight. The list goes on. Thank God it was a short flight.
Cons: I will never fly this airlines ever again. It's not worth the price nor the safety of your life. 1. Horrible gates from Ho Chi Minh City. 2. Old plane 3. We're treated like second class citizens 4. It rained when we arrived in Ho Chi Minh City from phnom Penh. We walked in the rain to get on the transporting bus. There's a guy with one umbrella. But he used to covered himself. With these kind of treatments and attitudes, one day you will get beat by your competitors. I know you are arrogant right now. But as Vietnam continues to thrives in tourism. There will be better airlines coming and will provide better services. Even the airport in Ho Chi Minh City is horrible. Cambodia airport have amazing lounge and services. I love Vietnam. But your AIRLINES ruined the experience.
On-time flight
Pros: Efficient check-in, boarding and take-off
Cons: Interior of plane was old looking but fine for a short flight
Plane didn't show up!
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Well, the fact that the plane didn't show up at the airport was a problem...then they were unwilling to give me an alternative route which caused me to miss my scheduled meetings. When an attempt was made to contact the Vietnam Airlines office in the USA NO ONE ever picked up the phone! At this time I'm unclear whether or not my refund is being processed. I ended up having to book a totally different ticket with another airlines (of course). First and last time I will ever attempt to fly with Vietnam Airlines.
Reliable & good service
Pros: Vietnam airline is a good airline, reliable, mostly on time. Wet towel and a bottle of water are provided for short flight. Flight attendants were courteous and helpful.
