The location is excellent. Very close to the city but away from the bustling crowd. The gardens looking out to the river is perfect for a summer wedding. The rooms are clean, comfortable and modern with generous supply of toiletries.
The internet service is slow in the rooms and rather expensive.
All user friendly, pleasant and helpful staff.
Car Park charge
Hotel was fine but price was not. Friend booked the same room for £79 via Secret Room.com, you charged us £199 per night so we are very, very unhappy about that.
The location of the hotel was perfect and the comfort and amenities in the room were excellent. I would also rate the buffet breakfast very highly.
This is a small point - the quality of the room service meal could have been a little better and the hotel is quite expensive. However, overall the stay was excellent and I really liked this hotel. For a lovely weekend stay in a great location by the river I would definitely recommend it.
Nice location; comfortable room with great view of river
Hotel styling and feel are dated and plain; expensive internet
DoubleTree by Hilton Cambridge City Centre is, as its name implies, in the heart of Cambridge, England. It is located in the historic area and sits tucked along the banks of River Cam. This makes it an ideal choice for those exploring the many colleges that make the city so famous. In fact, visitors are only five minutes on foot from King’s College, Trinity College, and Queen’s College. Other easy to reach destinations include the Mathematical Bridge, St. John's College, Audley End House, Cambridge Train Station, the Botanic Gardens, and the Grand Arcade Shopping Center. The Newmarket Races are around 14 miles away, and Duxford Air Museum is less than 10. Cambridge Airport is less than three miles from the hotel, while the London Luton Airport is roughly 30 miles.
While the location makes it ideal for students and professionals, it is also a great choice for leisure travelers. The hotel boasts an enviable number of amenities and services that include full business services with meeting rooms, a concierge service, parking (for a fee), a currency exchange, laundry services, the Riverside Brasserie serving classic British fare along with daily breakfast, outdoor dining and lounging areas, bike rentals and more.
The many stylish and modern rooms and suites vary by size and style, but all will provide visitors with a large sitting area and easy chair, a business desk, Wi-Fi and high-speed Internet, a flat-screen TV, laptop-sized safe, hot beverage stations, minibars, a large and private bath with signature toiletries, premium linens, and climate controls. Many have river and garden views, too.
Whether it is to consider attending one of the colleges at Cambridge, for a business trip or as part of a holiday in the region, the DoubleTree by Hilton Cambridge City Centre is a great choice.
