Overview
Located in a peaceful rural setting surrounded by native bush, Gully Retreat Karapiro is a traditional style bed and breakfast, situated only 10 minutes' drive from Cambridge. Both Rotorua and Waitomo Caves are 45 minutes' drive away. Hobbiton is located nearby. Continental breakfast includes seasonal fruit, homemade jams, a selection of teas and freshly made coffee. The guest rooms are heated and all feature a view. They either have an en suite or access to shared bathroom facilities, which have complimentary New Zealand, natural body care products. Linen and towels are provided. A home cooked dinner is available on request otherwise, there are a range of restaurants in Cambridge. On arrival, guests are offered a glass of NZ wine or beer.

“It was like coming home, with a cup of tea offered as we arrived. The friendly hosts recommended an excellent restaurant for dinner in nearby Cambridge, gave us tips on sightseeing and travel plans, and showed us around the gorgeous gardens and lush native bush surrounding the house. A bird feeder outside the house attracts tui, and we all loved the dogs. Our beds were super comfortable and the bathrooms are cleverly designed. All up, a wonderful stay.”
