The peace. The spaciousness. Divine garden surrounds. Lighting. Classical music. Artwork. Great and expansive selection at breakfast. Great table service and gentleman collecting used crockery and cutlery etc from tables.
Dead galahs in garden very sad. Feral cat maybe?
Return guests never disappointed with the service!
Location to central Canberra
Expensive rooms which where nice but definitely not worth $460 p/night and that didn’t include breakfast A musty smell in the connecting hallways
Liked the location and the historic nature of the hotel. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom superb.
The staff were indifferent and did not offer the kind of service expected at a 5 star hotel. The person who took are dinner room service order had very poor English and as a consequence did not get the order right. The breakfast staff were distracted and ignored our request for a la carte and put us down for the buffet on auto pilot.
