Delphine is a thoughtful host with a beautiful house in a quiet setting. Her breakfasts were sumptuous and plentiful, no lunch was ever needed. We arrived as customers but left as friends.
The location was excellent - quiet and rural but just a walk from the old city of Carcassonne. The room and bathroom were a little quirky and dated, but comfortable. The highlight was undoubtedly the breakfasts which were outstanding, with a huge range of high quality home prepared food.
It was difficult to find, as it is along a small no-through country road, which Google maps couldn't locate. It is rather irritating when payment by card is not accepted.
The location was very rural , picturesque and quiet. It was a really authentic french rural experience and the breakfast was homemade.
The pool was unheated so too cold to use and the bathroom was almost too small to use with a door that didn’t close , affording no privacy. The smoke from other guests wafted up into the room from the area below. There was no microwave etc even though it was on the site.
Nice location overlooking Cité of Carcassonne within walking distance. Excellent breakfast buffet with a choice of cold cuts, cheeses, breads, cereals, homemade pastries and jams, fresh fruit etc.
Toilet inside the bedroom but with no separation door. Some property organisation and rules prevented us from feeling at home.
