The food is amazing! Dinner was very tasteful and the waiters are very attentive. Also breakfast was great. Staff was very helpful, everyone was willing to help (also the person behind the bar). Location is the best! You can do a lot of hikes from this point, or take the bus if you want to start the hikes somewhere else. If you want to photograph the famous spot in Alpi di Suisi, I would recommend to rent a bike to get there for sunrise/sunset (it is a 4km walk).
The only thing I can think of is the pillow on the bed, terrible (it is like you don't have any). And not a big deal, but the check out time is 11 am. Before that time already 3 times the cleaning ladies (who were very kind by the way) tried to get into our room (I think it would be better if they check who already checked out) All the rest was great!
Good to half breakfast and dinner included in the room rate, wifi worked well and it was a comfortable stay
Found the room cold at night and couldn't turn the heating up
The staff were incredibly attentive to my needs and always willing to help. The dinners were robust and delicious, the breakfasts bountiful. I loved the proximity to the locations I needed (for photography) and although I needed to walk 40-50 minutes each time, the fresh air and surroundings easily made the trip worth it to the area.
Food was top-notch for half board, I expected lower quality ingredients and did not expect such a high caliber Chef, or such high caliber wait staff. Staying in this location is a real high for nature lovers. With all the trails and lifts you have a myriad of choices and degrees of difficulty. Seeing all the beautiful flowers and listening to the cow bells all with the beauty of the Dolomites is an incredible experience. Eating at the Huttes/ Reservios on the trails is a pleasure, just remember you need cash, cards not accepted.
If you’re used to driving everywhere, anytime, be aware this area is restricted. You can only go up to your accommodations with permission from your place (just tell them you need permission for your car). Otherwise, you can not be on that road between 9 am and 5 pm. I’m happy they are protecting the area though, just wish they would stop building places, afraid it will end up like areas of Colorado that have been ruined by development.
