Great hotel with excellent professional staff who could not have been nicer. We had a very large room, bed was very comfortable, room and bathroom were spotless. Breakfast buffet was fantastic, loads of choices for everyone. Highly recommend this hotel.
Nothing of any consequence.
Very delayed check in despite their confirmation that the room would be ready by my arrival. Room service extremely expensive (24% mandatory gratuity??? AND $5 extra for room delivery????) on top of almost an hour wait for tepid soup and soggy fries...
It is a nice property situated in a wonderfully walkable section of Charlotte's downtown.
Although a nice property, there were a few annoyances that I would not have expected from an upscale property. First, we self-parked (for free), but it is a very long walk from the parking garage to the front desk and room, and the path is not well marked at all, so we wondered around with another couple for several minutes trying to find our way. Second, we had a large suite, but the bathroom was smaller than you'd expect to see even in a micro-hotel. Third, the heat controls had a mind of its own, and would only heat the room after complaining loudly. Fourth, the large suites are on the top floor directly below one of Charlotte's "hottest" roof-top bars - do NOT stay in these rooms on a weekend if you want to sleep. With all that, I'd say the place is way overpriced.
It is difficult to say what I liked best based on our experience. The hotel ambience overall was very nice.
We had to endure nearly 2 hours of a large group of drunks and disrespectful people at the end of the hallway partying, screaming, and yelling. I reported this to the front desk, I gave them our room number, they said they would send security. Did not.
