7.5 Good
Pros: Superb indoor an outdoor spa pools. Very comfortable bed.
Cons: Our “superior “ room was very small and the “garden view” was a tiny boxed in area with no view at all.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The spa The helpful reception staff who allowed us to chevk out at 1pm and to use the spa on our checkout day for half price The excellent quiet air conditioning
Cons: Very small room The bar bistro did not start serving food until 7.30pm
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, friendly helpful staff, spectacular sunset views from restaurant, fantastic spa facilities, extremely relaxing
Cons: The sofa seating in the restaurant was awful, fortunately only a few seats were like this, so managed to avoid after first meal. It managed to give me indigestion and a bad back! The lady who was sitting next to me also struggled. There isn’t really a proper bar, as it’s in between the bistro and the restaurant, it doesn’t feel comfortable sitting there and having a drink. In the height of the summer, their wouldn’t be an issue as you can sit outside. Service in the bistro was slow, I’d say it was understaffed. However these were small niggles, apart from that it was perfect
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent. Dinner expensive and only ok
Cons: The pool closed between one and two to allow staff to have lunch. At over 200 euros a night I would expect to be able to swim whenever I wanted. Haven’t they heard of a staff rota?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful setting with amazing sea views. Excellent service at the reception, we were made extremely welcome, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are extremely clean and well decorated. The spa is wonderful , and this is the perfect place to unwind.
Cons: The service was excellent , as expected in a top hotel. Unfortunately, the food did not match , and the attention to detail was not there. This was disappointing!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Spa and location plus staff and food all great
Cons: The WiFi was not working
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely place to unwind, with Thalassothérapie Pool and Nuxe Spa treatments. Very helpful and professional staff. Pleasantly decorated comfortable room and bathroom, with some fairly high tech lighting. Gaya restaurant for fine dining and adjoining Bar for informal meals. Great breakfast with sea views, and wonderful outdoor spaces for enjoying warm weather.
9.6 Excellent
Cons: There was no outside pool

Pros: The Spa is fabulous, rooms are functional and very comfortable.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was of good quality, though there were difficulties in finding staff at times
Cons: We would have liked to have had a short swim but at 37€ for one session it was nonsense. Had they said that hotel guests could have a swim before (say) 09h00 that would have been perfect. Dinners were buffet style and unexciting

Cons: Not all the staff speak english

5.4 Okay
Pros: Location, ocean facing room
Cons: Beds. They were two singles pushed together and made into double. Very uncomfortable for a couple
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Big balcony, sea front location, excellent evening meal in the restaurant, good toiletries.
Cons: Too end of our price range!!
7.5 Good
Pros: Good location. The hotel was selected because it had a well regarded restaurant. A room upgrade to ocean view was chosen and our room directly fronted the sea.
Cons: The room was quite small and sparsely furnished. We were staying for 4 nights and were unable to unpack our suitcases because there was insufficient space, i.e. no cupboard drawers and only 1 small shelf. We were surprised that the restaurant menu offered the same limited choice for both lunch and dinner, On 1 day our room was not cleaned until late afternoon and on the same day the breakfast items were not refreshed in the breakfast room. Not up to 4* standard.

Pros: Charming hosts Excellent buffet breakfast. Great location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners and staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. The location of the hotel is perfect, short stroll to a gorgeous sandy beach. Hotel and room was absolutely spotless. Lovely pool and seating area to enjoy drinks. Had a great day out on the hire bikes, coastal cycle path was lovely.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: excellent hosts very welcoming.
Cons: tea coffee in the room or lounge would make it perfect.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was very good and enjoyable. The location was what we expected and close to the promenade and restaurants. We were driving back to England from the Med area and wanted an overnight stop. Perfect!
Cons: Bed was not uncomfortable but did make us sweat a bit. Although it was early October and the air con had been turned off we had booked the room specifically because it had air con. We like a cool room so were disappointed it was not working. The host and his wife were very nice so this is not directly a criticism of them. They explained it was normal procedure to turn it over to heating rather than cooling as that's what most visitors want at this time of year.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about this gem of a hotel, family run, clean, modern, great breakfast, comfy bed, nice pool, secure parking, cheap bike hire, just perfect in every way
Cons: All was great

Recently renovated, the Hotel Victoria offers a historic two-star setting with 25 quiet and spacious rooms a stones throw from the ocean and station. On the agenda during your stay: smiles, friendliness and quality.
7.1 Good
Pros: The location and the vintage style of the hotel.
Cons: The noise and the fact that the third floor was not yet refurbished. Apparently this will be the case in late 2019. Bath room was too small for 2 adults and 2 kids
7.9 Good
Pros: Adequate breakfast. Good location. Helpful staff.
Cons: Very basic room. Place felt a bit run down
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Got an upgraded newly refurbished room
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent hot chocolate for breakfast. We were given an upgrade to a really good-sized room; all faciities were good, especially soft white towels. The owners/managers were very friendly and helpful and obviously proud of the hotel and the town. Central position, not seafront, but close to the beach and restaurants.
Cons: Nothing. We knew it wasn't a seafront hotel. Having said that, it was interesting being close to the station.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Enjoyed stopover, traditional style hotel. Good French breakfast and really nice hosts who took time to explain local restaurants, bars & access seafront. Would like be to go back to location/hotel but with more time
6.7 Good
Pros: Lovely location. Great breakfast.
Cons: Room dated but hotel being done up in stages. We had the older style rooms as we had not paid for a premium room. Maybe we should have been asked before booking - we could have chosen differently. The bathroom was v clean.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Close to the beach. We left at 4.0 am with no problem. Bit disappointed that we were charged for breakfast but we left before it was available.

Pros: Location - very comfortable and clean
Cons: Could not fault it
8.0 Excellent
Pros: good location
7.1 Good
Pros: The staff were friendly and very helpful. We were made to feel very welcome. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, with the unexpected bonus of a large terrace (room 104 or 105).
Cons: The hotel is located in the centre of the town, with restaurants and shops close by, and the gorgeous stretch of beach a mere five minutes away. But this is also the biggest downside to the hotel - i.e. its lack of parking. In fact, our only complaint (and I think it is a common one), would be its central location! We spent ages driving around the little one-way streets near the hotel trying to find a safe place to unload our luggage. If the hotel could create a space for this purpose, it would be such an asset, and I wouldn't hesitate to return.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The owners were brilliant and went out of their way to help us with beach mats and and umbrella. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh and all the staff were most eager to help. It’s an old hotel with plenty of charm and comfort. Will definitely go again and would recommend to my friends.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was very good and we experienced some of the best jam ever. Parking was free in the side streets and easily available rather than paying to park on the sea front. Hotel is opposite the beach just across the road. We ate in the hotel on the first night and found the food and service very good. (should have eaten there again on second night).
Cons: Nothing really that can be attributed to the hotel as they have no control over the tide'

Pros: Dinner in the restaurant with fresh seafood; even though we arrived quite late in the evening the restaurant team were very accommodating. Next morning we had an excellent breakfast with homemade preserves, followed by a stroll on the beach which was only 1O metres away. I have already recommended this hotel to a friend, the rooms are basic but as I expected for a **logis

2.9 Mediocre
Pros: We had book the accomodation for 2 nights but left after the first night as the room was so uncomfortable and hot, and unhygienic. We asked if we could cancel our second night minutes after we saw our room for the first time. The staff gave us no options as the hotel was full, so they could not offer a change of room, and they could not cancel our second night as we had booked on line! Therefore we ended up paying for a second which we did not use!
Cons: The hotel although called Premiere Classe was infact second class. The room was very small, had no air con or extraction system for ventilation in the bathroom. The room had 1 small window which we were unable to open as it overlooked a shared balcony which would have allowed access to anyone. The room was so small it only contained a bed, 1 bedside table and a small desk. There was what appeared to be marks on the wall from someone either urinating or vomiting on the wall.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Staff friendly and the room was clean. Cell style rooms like F1 hotels.
Cons: Location is on a commercial estate 8 miles from the city centre so you need to drive if you want some food, or to see the sites.
4.6 Okay
Pros: The receptionist
Cons: Our window looked over a work area full of laundry bags, and it was dirty. The shower spilt water all over the bathroom floor. The power outlets were in the wrong place. The price was way too high for the amenity offered.
7.1 Good
Cons: I arranged to arrive early when I arrived. Nobody was there and couldn't book in. Was not happy had to change my schedule and return later. Not good. Maybe I could have a refund? Also breakfast was in another hotel. A bad experience.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Good value Breakfast and the helpfulness of the manager, who looked after my bike overnight.
Cons: Lack of air conditioning: heat was oppressive and not managed. No fans or anything in a place that must be used to this: no air circulation in the rooms.
7.5 Good
Pros: Quiet room, clean facilities, easy location to travel to
Cons: Breakfast was disappointing, and not worth the money paid. No elevator made bringing luggage up two floors a difficult task. Staff was cleaning the lobby in the morning and were unfriendly about dirty shoes (I left shoes outside the door to avoid confrontation)
6.3 Good
Pros: not a lot
Cons: breakfast very poor. not a lot of room , nosiy

Pros: We had a problem finding the hotel as the main address given on the reservation note when put into the satnav took us to the centre of a residential area and we had to telephone the hotel, even though we were not far from it, but a we didnt know the area we would not have found it by oursselves. 5.4 Okay
Pros: Staff were good nice breakfast.
Cons: Staff were absolutely lovely but there were some minor problems like inadequate wifi and no tv, but the main problem is that there was no heating, we asked for a heater on the 1st night, we didn't get one. The next day was colder and wet, we got soaked and when we asked again for a heater we were told that there was none left. I asked for the manager and my request was refused as they were not in. In my view, asking for a warm room shouldn't be ignored, I do not recommend anyone stay here in winter.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and cleanliness including spacious and lovely staff
Cons: There was a shortage of warm food at breakfast, none actually left at 9am!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: What we paid and what we got was very good value . Loved the location, bath robes, white company products, comfy bed and decor.
Cons: There was a roughness to the finish of the hotel, though at the price we paid to be expected. for the full price advertised i would say that it is a work in progress.
7.0 Good
Cons: Hotel was under refurbishment so no restaurant or bar facilities.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The room was large and the bed was comfortable. The hotel was in a good location.
Cons: There was no Internet on our floor. This was a known ongoing problem. Our bath leaked water all over the floor. The hair dryer was hanging off the wall. This 5 star hotel had closed its bar and restaurant.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Residence de France is a beautiful hotel. A perfect picture of comfort and luxury.Clearly an age old institution, the place feels authentic through and through.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Very dirty, moldy, obsolescent hotel, particularly the bathroom was filthy, the towels were grey, the furniture dated and in poor condition, the carpet all consumed with holes, the service inexistent, it is incredible, how it got 5 stars? This is worth only a star, to be very generous....Absolutely to avoid!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, easy to find, and with really good parking. The public spaces were really nice and in season, I expect the pool would be good. The bed was probably the most comfortable that I’ve slept in, and the toiletries were fab. The breakfast was the best I’ve had in a hotel, both choice and quality were excellent. The staff were polite and helpful.
Cons: It was very disappointing that the bar was shut. I knew the pool would be shut in mid December but expected the bar to be open. In some places the decor was a little shabby eg the material the arm of one of the chairs in our room was fraying. Our room was mostly clean but there was a limescale ring around the sink plughole in our bathroom and a little patch of black mould at the bath. Both could have been easily dealt with.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The location is good
Cons: The stff are rude and that hotel deserves 3 stars definitely not 5 stars The breakfast was really basic .
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Quaint
Cons: Parking underground is very cramped

Pros: Good location only short walk to the centre, historical parts and various museums. One of the beaches is also circa 15-20 min away. Underground parking is available, there were lots of free spaces available during our stay but it's best to reserve it.
Cons: Breakfast was rather mundane, same things every day, limited choice of the foodstuff available did not help, although buying it from somewhere would cost the same or slightly more. Money that booking.com collects on their behalf doesn't include city tax though, which might cause confusion.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Taking into account the price/ quality the hotel is very good.

7.5 Good
Pros: Superb indoor an outdoor spa pools.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was of good quality, though there were difficulties in finding staff at times
Cons: We would have liked to have had a short swim but at 37€ for one session it was nonsense. Had they said that hotel guests could have a swim before (say) 09h00 that would have been perfect. Dinners were buffet style and unexciting

7.1 Good
Pros: The location and the vintage style of the hotel.
