Reservation was for 12pm. Got a call at 12:02pm that the truck I had reserved had body damage and couldn't be rented. No resolution on the phone call. I arrived at the rental location around 1pm and the person at the desk explained that there were no trucks. I asked if he had tried to find one at another Hertz location and he said that last time he tried doing that for a customer he got yelled at by his manager. He eventually called his manager and got permission to call others. He tried 2 with no luck and told me that was all he could do. I will never use Hertz again.7.6 Good

i used to work as a customer service agent and the first and most thing i learnt about it was never to say ' I DO NOT KNOW TO A CUSTOMER' ...my boss always told us if you don't know you have no business working here... so I rented my car thru a third party got a good deal paid my insurance thru them so when I went to pick my car I was asked if I needed an insurance told her I paid but she told me that it doesn't show there i asked her what i should do and the answer was 'I DON'T KNOW ' so i didn't want to take the risk of driving without it and ended up paying twice went back and asked her again 'SHE DOES NOT KNOW WHAT I SHOULD DO ' will never use Hertz again2.0 Poor

Reserved a small SUV and when we got there all they had left on the lot was ONE a compact car. We were driving 900 miles to rent a truck and ,over belongings across the country. They attempted to find us another car locally but contractually couldn't call the airport because they didn't have reciprocal agreements with them. I was able to find a replacement with my cell phone so we left without the rental and got another at the airport - from Enterprise.4.0 Mediocre

The car they provided me with had a nail in the tire. I had to stop to put air in the tire three times on my trip. When I got home the tire went completely flat.
