Got to New Bern, NC to return the car and no attendant could be found. Waited almost an hour and no one showed at the counter nor did they answer phone when I tried that. Left key and car. Receipt emailed me charged different rates than quoted thru Hertz on paperwork when car picked up. Tried calling Hertz and couldn’t get a person. I noticed at pick up that the wheel cover was missing. I took a pic as suggested by the attendant, if I found any issues with it. When I arrived at my destination, I was asked if I had a flat tire along the way. I told him no that the wheel cover was missing when I picked it up. He told me that I was driving with a donut. I was shocked as it didn't appear smaller than the other tires and I had driven for 4 hours and 260 miles at top speeds of 75 mph. I have no idea if there was another spare in the trunk, the flat tire, or nothing. Fortunately nothing happened, but could have been ugly and never should have been rented out in that condition.6.4 Okay

You must drive into a garage where there is only a small sign posted, that applies to all car rental companies, which you must stop and read, and it is on a curve where cars are blindly coming around and you must stop, block traffic, and read the four steps of 1) parking the car in the appropriate area, 2) cleaning it out, 3) writing down the mileage and 4) locking it, noting the number of your space, and returning the keys to the rental counter. What it doesn't say is 1) your parking space is far away 2) the rental counter is across the street in the main terminal downstairs on the other end 3) the escalators don't work and 4) have fun waiting in line to turn in all this information you are supposed to provide.6.4 Okay
