I reserved an intermediate SUV. Got email confirmation from kayak. Went to Hertz and they had reserved for me a small EV. Not big enough to fit my family. They told me if i wanted a bigger car i would have to pay more. They had no record of me requesting an intermediate SUV. They told me that I would have to talk to Kayak to get a refund. They told me they are unable to process refunds and that kayak is responsible for that. I am not sure that is true. I called hertz national customer service and they said they would refund but didnt give me a specific confirmation number. We ended up not getting the car. Pros:It was great on the Burlington, VT end. The worst at the New Bern, NC endCons:Got to New Bern, NC to return the car and no attendant could be found. Waited almost an hour and no one showed at the counter nor did they answer phone when I tried that. Left key and car. Receipt emailed me charged different rates than quoted thru Hertz on paperwork when car picked up. Tried calling Hertz and couldn’t get a person. Will call Credit card company to negate charges.Reviewed 16 May 2021
