Desk staff were friendly & helpful. Online tools for reservation management, both web & app, were pretty much useless. Online customer assistance tools were equally useless. Speaking to an actual customer service human costs $30. Rates were deceptively presented nearly to the point of fraud, and in the end unreasonably high compared to competitors. Provided vehicle was in poor repair, with warped brake rotors and a totally worn out suspension. Would not recommend, will not rent a vehicle through Hertz again.Reviewed 1 Jun. 2022

There was no one at the desk when I arrived (they were cleaning cars). My phone was not working, so I had to ask someone from another agency to call for me. Once the agent arrived, he was very good and quite pleasant. To get to Boston from Burlington, I had no reasonable options. With routes closed, I would have had to deal with 15+ hour trips by train or bus with ridiculous routes. I can't help but think car rental agencies are taking advantage of the situation by price gouging. Plus, they do not seem to have either the ability or desire to respond to the need with more cars and agents. The side mirrors on my car could not be adjusted from inside, and the de-fogging fans were not effective resulting in a stressful and dangerous drive to Boston. The drop-off procedure was quite easy, but there needs to be more clarity about what to do. After a late-night, it was not easy for me to get the car returned by 10 am, but I did it.Reviewed 26 Jul. 2021

Pros:Staff at pickup and drop off were very good.Cons:Location of pickup at Burlington needs improvement and more specific. Example: I was confused at pickup location because nothing specifically stated “pickup desk is inside airport”. I drove around the airport several times but could only see signs for “drop off” but nothing to tell you where to go for the paperwork to pick up your rental car.Reviewed 19 Jun. 2021
