You’ll need to make arrangements to get picked up if you’re dropping off a vehicle. I had a Uber to the airport and they don’t have shuttle service. Also be careful that someone’s working there and they do not have public restrooms.

Everything about the car, pick-up and drop off was great. But I was frustrated because I wanted to find out if I there was after-hours drop off, but there was no way to reach hertz by phone and actually talk to a human. I called at least 20 times. In the end I had to call the road-size emergency number to actually talk to someone and they were able to help me out.
I was given a hard time at pick up and accused of damaging the vehicle at drop off. Very disheartening.

This company is such a scam. They told me I needed basic coverage when I already had insurance. When I realized they had added an additional 400 dollars to my bill I couldn’t get even one person to answer the phone at the location for four days straight and the central office said they couldn’t help it has to be the local branch. I asked three different people before I left the property and they all said “oh you got the basic coverage” and did not ever once tell me it wasn’t required. I tried to get help and got ZERO. I will never use this company again. The vehicle was great, the return was great but the complete deceit on the front end keeps me from ever using this company again.

I asked for a rental out of Orlando, FL Airport. When I arrived I found out that the car was in Sanford, FL 45 minutes away with no shuttle as promised. I could not get to Sanford to pick up the car and they would not honor the reservation in Orlando's Dollar Rental. It cost me $75 to pay a taxi to get me to my hotel and I never got my rental. Had to pay for a taxi the whole time I was in Florida.

I had been experienced bait and switch with a different car rental office the night before, so wasn’t really feeling too confident about going elsewhere. However, my husband and I were pleased with the customer service at Alamo and appreciated they had cars available for rental.
Cons:
I had to pay $501 for 2 days of rental. I think the price could’ve been a bit better.

The team at the Orlando airport were incredibly kind and helpful. I mistakenly booked at the wrong airport, the check in employee so was kind in assisting me, the customer service rep I had to call was extremely helpful, and the parking lot employee met me with kindness as well. It was a very unpleasant travel day for me, so I was extremely grateful for their positive demeanor at that moment. Turned my day around!
Lots of communication and no wait at the airport. The SLI was very confusing to me since I spoke to my insurance prior to the rental and was assured I had everything I needed, so that cost, which almost double the cost of the rental, was confusing. The car was nice and definitely suited our needs. Drop off was a little difficult since I was given the wrong address in a text, but the took us to the airport right away.
Scammed by insurance add ons which I refused, proving I already had same coverage. A $217 4-day rental fee, prepaid thru priceline quickly rose to $580 which I challenged only to be told "your car is no longer available, we rented it to someone else". They did offer me a ride back to Sanford Orlando where they'd picked me up 30 mins late, one hour earlier. I believe Nextcar routinely scams customers. All the time you're completing paperwork they have a TV blaring info on how FL laws mandated ins requirements. Never had that from ethical auto rental agencies.
Drop off location in Hilton Head Island was closed even though hours said it was open. Staff did not answer the phone when tried to call multiple times Had to call customer service and spend 30 minutes on the phone to change drop off location that was further away and that was ACTUALLY open.

I arrived at the counter to pick up the rental. I did not have a credit card on me. The very rude agent told me that in order to release the rental to me without a credit card, they would have to run a credit check. I showed her the rental policy online that stated a rental could be picked up with a debit card and hold fee. Even though the policy is online, and I showed her word for word, she refused to allow me to retrieve the rental. I left and went to another rental counter , Alamo and successfully rented a vehicle with Alamo. I will never use Avis again!

I didn't realize it was a pickup area out of the airport, although there was a budget in the airport when we got to the place after a $30 taxi ride we found out that our booking had been canceled at 3:30.
