The hotel was very dirty with mediocre amenities. The carpet was very dingy and dirty, and the bathroom tile was very dirty as well. The towels were thin and some had tears and stains. However, the staff was nice and helpful.
Pros (+) I needed a basic room that would accept my dog and had a mattress hopefully comfortable enough to sleep on. My only regret was that I couldn't check in until midnight because of the weather, so I didn't get more time to relax and enjoy the room. Great staff, clean room, microwave and mini fridge. Pros (+) The service by staff was excellent and they included breakfast with our stay.
Cons (-) The quality of the bed was not up to par with the price for the room. I paid $450 for a two night, weekend stay during the Va Tech spring game weekend. The mattress felt like I was sleeping on springs with a cardboard pillow top. Also, the bathroom tub had the pipes sticking out from against the wall and when I shut the shower off, the pipe moved.

Cons (-) Mattress was uncomfortable , towels a little sparse but no worst then other hotel for the price point. Heat good but loud snd clanked at times

Cons (-) Bed was old and a bit hard, pillows were good though, ac unit needs to be able to set to a precise temperature, unable to get a comfortable temperature consistently.

Cons (-) Showerhead too low, water flow too low, no free weights in fitness center, pool not good for laps, complimentary cookies disappear too soon, no kitchen.
Pros (+) The staff was great, very nice people. Room was clean and I paid a very reasonable price.
Cons (-) The wifi was barely useable, if this was a little better my stay would have been perfect.
