I like that the room was clean.
The light switch upon entry did not work and I searched the dark room for a working lamp. When I needed to use the bathroom after a long drive from out of state, I was shocked that the seat was up on the toilet. In the bathroom, the tub looked gray, but clean and next to the tub appeared to be a water damaged wall. The microwave was unplugged when I went to use it. The neighboring room had decided to watch TV at an odd hour and it could be heard through the wall.
Not much at all. The staff tried to help where they could and they were apologetic.
We were put in a smoking room. The smell was horrible. Getting in was nearly impossible as the lock was broken. The light switch when you enter was also broken. The bedspread had burn holes in it. Luckily, there was a cancellation and the next day we were moved to a non-smoking room. There, the ironing board was broken, the hair dryer didn't work and one of the electrical sockets didn't function and we couldn't get the tv to work until we called down to the front desk for guidance, because it was not set up properly. Other than that, it was a fine stay.
The bed was big, which was nice. That was it.
It was a smoking room, so I expected it to smell like smoke. It smelled horrible. It was not very clean at all and there was cigarette burns on the top cover. I kept my socks on the whole time walking on the floor and I didn't even bother to shower because the bathroom was very gross. The front desk employee wasn't very nice or welcoming at all. I couldn't even get wifi unless I went to the main office building to obtain it.
We shared a very comfortable king-size bed. We considered this hotel an excellent value and did not mind paying the additional $10/night to have our dog with us. Too bad the Waffle House is not there anymore...
I wish there had been some fruit or eggs for breakfast. Other than the coffee, nothing looked very appetizing to us.
Just not good
There were small flying insects - maybe fleas. The door was broken and wouldn't latch shut. The bathroom piping moaned loudly whenever you used the sink or toilet. There were insufficient pillows. It was just not good at all. I slept badly and was very anxious to check out.
