Pros:Good location; near shopping and fast-food restaurants. Nice flat screen TV in room, along with small refrigerator and small microwave oven.
Cons:The Executive Royal Inn, located on US Hwy 27 in Clewiston, Florida, is a family owned, 1960's era motel, that has been ridden hard and put up wet. At appears they cater mostly to fishermen who frequent nearby Lake Okeechobee for world-class Bass fishing. The door to our room was cracked and splintered, the apparent result of someone eager to enter without a door ket. The small sink and tiny bathroom featured old plumbing that desperately needs updating. Low wattage lightbulbs in fixtures to reduce costs at the expense of customers trying to read by lamp light. With taxes, we paid $100.00 for a non-smoking double room, much too expensive for this old motel in downtown Clewiston. No food is available on the premises. Rooms are noisy at night, directly adjacent to the 4-lane main highway in Clewiston.
