After visiting Anderson Valley Brewery, I didn’t want to drve to far and optec to stay in Cloverdale. This hotel was just about the only thing around and from the pictures I assumed it would be more like rustic cabins than an old rundown motel. It smelled; and everything extremely dated. It felt safe and was a place to lay my head. Next time I’ll drive further down the road though,
It was located walking distance to where we were going, the manager was pleasant enough, and there is a fridge and microwave in the room.
The bathroom had significant water damage; there were two disassembled smoke detectors (and a third which I assume worked); we found a cockroach running around; the non-smoking room still smelled like smoke; the wallpaper runner (over painted brick walls) was peeling; and overall it felt very run-down.
