9.0 Excellent
Pros: The dining room served up one of the best meals I've ever eaten and I've dined at some of the worlds best restaurants. Service was excellent.
Cons: Wine list could use a bit more selection.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We like the service by every member of staff, the excellent food and ambience of a gracious inn.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a much needed get away from our ongoing home renovations and this property exceeded all our wishes with excellent accommodations with a salute to older regal times. The dining room experience exceeded the 5 star rating I gave my wife from a previous business stay and the lounge was a quiet oasis and the tables in the yard were wonderful on the beautiful summer day we had. An all round suburb experience set in a beautiful small town.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The spacious and well designed room. The breakfast was amazing.
Cons: Air conditioning noisey. Also a fan noise coming from another room annoying when trying to sleep.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Comfortable room. Great location.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A charming inn with character. It is looked after and maintained to a high standard and I could not fault that in anyway. The kitchen and restaurant staff were lovely and only too happy to help. Lovely gardens at the front and rear to relax in. Great food.
Cons: I wouldn’t recommend if you have children. The main reception staff clearly loathed me and my two small children. We asked them to help us with our luggage to the room and they rolled their eyes at us and begrudgingly carried the pram upstairs for us. The ac broke in the middle of the night on our first night and was pumping hot air into our room for a few hours before we realised why it was getting soooo very hot. They did fix this the next morning but we didn’t really get much of an apology for the inconvenience of being awake from about 4am. I felt like they didn’t really want us there and this ruined our stay quite a bit.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Extremely convenient to the Highland games We we’re attending.
Cons: Can’t think of anything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The inn is fabulous, historical inside and out. Lounge (wood & leather) is inviting /relaxing . Dining room food is EXCEPTIONAL, as well as the service. Room was large and comfortable, jacuzzi tub, and one of the best beds we have ever slept on. Highly recommend.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Good bed. Dinner was fairly good, cheese cake hard and dry. Love the garden. My room, 106, was really cold all the time.
Cons: My cold room. It is also dark, so could have used some colour to feel less cheerless.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room size
Cons: The was no ice anywhere or bottle water. It was closed at 10:30, dining room bar front desk. When asked about ice and water was told to walk down the street to gas bar. The walls were paper thin as well
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast menu had very good choices and the service was excellent. Dinner was very good and the dining room was comfortable and pretty.

Pros: The bed was very comfortable! It was very quiet as well. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and more than we could eat!
Cons: The floor could have been a bit cleaner. Overall the place was very clean and tidy, but we did notice some dust bunnies around the edges of our room.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Unfortunately we did not stay for breakfast we were up quite early and headed home. The hospitality was amazing, we had our new puppy and Paul and Patti welcomed all of us and even babysat - I called to check in and all was well :)
Cons: For us not much we didn't like - maybe a little cooler - it had been a hot evening and on the top floor did not seem like much air - movement . Not much else to say.

Pros: Lovely rural location in a walkable village. Hosts were super friendly and welcoming. Historic house, which suits us perfectly. Nice to be able to open the window. Comfortable bed.
Cons: Bathroom was large but arrangement a bit awkward for tall people; mirror too low for shaving, for example. All part of historic house :)
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Enjoyable evening eating cake and wine with the great neighbours from across the road... Comfortable bed...
Cons: Knowing that Hwy 45 is busy in the summer, we can accept that there would be a minor amount of traffic noise... Not a deal breaker, though...

5.8 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was up to expected standard. Location is convenient for touring the surrounding area (Northumberland hills)
Cons: We were allocated a room on the second floor where most of the rooms were undergoing renovation work (new ceilings we were told). The stairway and nearest entrance were dusty and being used to store materials for the renovations; the corridor was also used for storing beds while the rooms were being worked on. The contractors started work at 6am which, inevitably, created noise which disturbed our sleep. When we raised the problem with the receptionist they were unable to offer an alternative room - room allocation being made by head office, apparently.
7.0 Good
Pros: Bed and breakfast was good
Cons: The bathroom was narrow The towel rack fell off The original room given us smells cigarettes We were so tired when we arrived and just wanted to sleep, good thing my sister checked the patio door - it was not locked. Scary since we were on the ground floor
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean Comfortable and value for money !!
Cons: breakfast area is too small
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Shower pressure is great, hallways smell clean, quiet, comfortable bed and bedding, bathroom supper clean. Front desk person- forget her name(drives from Mississauga) was very helpful and funny.
Cons: Room was freezing when we arrived, suggest to keep at 23-25 Celsia, especially if it is hot outside, the difference is too uncomfortable. It's a little thing, but would make difference. At breakfast, there was no place to sit for some time, maybe add a table or 2?

8.0 Excellent
Pros: I like the free continental breakfast and the location.
Cons: I did not like having to pay $250 on top of the total cost of my room. They canceled it when we checked out but it was still the idea of it that upset me. I have never had to do this before and I travel a lot.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable room and bed...Breakfast was generous, hot and tasty...
Cons: Everything seemed to be fine...

3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Not much
Cons: Check-in was awful, we showed up and couldn’t get into our room because the office was closed for an hour. Room smelled musty and of smoke.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Room was clean
Cons: More remote than I thought - property was run down - Not many electrical outlets Wifi was open Owner / manager not overly friendly
5.0 Okay
Pros: Convenient
Cons: The outside of the property needed a good clean. Under the beds needed cleaning. There was garbage under one of the beds in the room and the beds were dusty at the base.Corners needed to be vacumed. It was noisy as we were under an apartment with kids running around. I was awakened on Sunday at 6.30a.m with noise from the floor above. Lack of hot water throughout the night as it was either turned down or switched off. When i told the owner about no hot water, she said i had to let the water run for 5 mins. Which didn't do anything. (It was just a waste of water really!) Looks like around 6a.m it was switched on and then it was hot.
5.8 Okay
Cons: Signed as no smoking but smelled of stale smoke.
7.0 Good
Pros: It’s quiet and clean and close to a lot it amenities
4.3 Okay
Pros: We liked that it was pet friendly and other guests had dogs also. The girl at front desk was friendly.
Cons: Our non smoking room smelled like cigarettes we were travelling with a 2 month old and I am asthmatic. The double lock on our room door was broken as if someone had barged in. It seemed as if people (other guests) lived there and stared you down for booking there. The inside back of our door was dirty. Overall this motel was dirty and dingy.
8.0 Excellent
Cons: room was very musty but we opened all the windows, drapes falling off rack, no hangers, no creamer for coffee and only two tiny tubes of coffee/sugar tiny soap/shampoo which we did not need anyway rug near door turned up so caused tripping good for people with boats, trailers etc. as there was a huge parking lot which was FULL of boats etc. as there was a fishing contest in Cobourg
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was big and very comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and well equipped. It was close to everything we needed and was quiet and cosy.
5.0 Okay
Cons: room was freezing. its winter and the heater doesn't work properly. Not a nice ending at 3 AM after 10 hours on the road in a snowstorm.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Very close to the area we wanted to be in, close to a lot of restaurants and to the major hyway had a mini fridge and microwave good tv and WIfi
Cons: Room smelled stuffy , extention cords for lights and appliances lights not pluged in when we arrived , separate hot cold taps in shower very dated and poorly maintained bit of mold on windows here and there
