The location was amazing, close to everything by walking. Very safe area and a pharmacy next door with very knowledgeable staff. They have oxygen tanks and were very eager to help you use it when needed (altitude sicknesses is NO joke). Travel agency downstairs was super good. Amazing cheap prices, and lots of options for different day trips. I booked 2 thru them and were the highlight of my trip. ATM onsite. Good free breakfast. Nice rooms, with enough lighting. Cleaning daily. And warm blankets. Beds were comfortable with its own light. Wish they had privacy curtains too. Big lockers and able to leave suitcases in storage while hiking.
The bathrooms were a bit cold. Would help to have some kind of heater. During my second stay there was no towel. I had just come from a 4 days hike so I had no clean towel with me. I couldn't shower that night. And no towel the next day either.
The location was good, very beautiful, the toilets were clean, the room was really nice.
Everything was good but the staff was not, just an example, it was my birthday I've just arrived from Machu Pichu, it was less than 10 minutes after the time for the free drink and the guy and the bar sad, oh no, I can't and was really rude, what is a drink? So stupid.
We only stayed for a night, but really liked the place. I am sure it's a nice place to hangout. The interiors, ambience is warm and welcoming. The breakfast was included for the price, which was really helpful. Our main concern was that the place location is close to drop off after Machu Pichhu tours and should allow late night check-in, both were excellent. We were shown to our beds, place was still awake at 11pm and dinner was available till 12. Dorm was in old fashioned room with wooden doors, very earthy and aesthetic. Room was clean, silent and bed was very comfortable. and overall warm. just what we needed after two days of walking and traveling. common bathrooms were just outside and functional.
didn't find anything that we did not like, our stay was too short to evaluate any shortcomings.
