Great location and clean room
Toilet paper can’t throw into toilet bowl..
It is located on a busy main road, amidst shops and walking distance (uphill) to the main square (plaza de Armas for restaurants). We stayed for 4 nights on 2 separate occasions. The rooms were clean and comfortable but the beds were high. The back room although facing alley way was much quieter than the front room. My most favourable memory is relaxing at the reception area, sunny, colourful décor and nice comfortable sofas.
The breakfast - food is average, but we found the layout of the buffet table and the cups, saucers, bowls and plates were not appropriate. The buffet table could be better arranged towards the centre of the room, not at the corner and along the wall. It is recommended that the cups, saucers., bowl and plates are better placed accessible NEAR the food and beverages, so we do not need to look for them, especially when it is busy with groups. The bread trays are high up, sometimes they are empty. When the food ran out, it took a while to be replenished, due to only one or two staff serving, even on a busy morning.
Nothing. Seriously, anything which was not disastrous (detailed below) was at the very best meeting expectations of a 4-star hotel.
This was the worst accommodation we had during our entire stay in Peru. Sadly, it was also the most expensive one. You should note the following in particular: Location - yes, it is close to the centre, however it is located on a very busy street on one side and dark alley with music clubs on the other side; as a result, it is impossible to get decent sleep due to the noise till late at night. Staff - not only the staff speaks very little english and makes no attept to help at all, the front desk personnel is downright rude. Check-out time - they enforce a ridiculous check-out time of 8:30 AM!! Having read the majority o positive references here on booking, based on our experience and talks with other quests, it is hard to believe these reviews are genuine.
We stayed here for just one night. We took the train/bus from Aguas Calientes and the hotel was located across the street from the drop off point on Ave. del Sol. Easy check in, the beds and the room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was very nice. Straight and easy shot to get picked up to go to the airport for our early morning flight.
A stay at San Agustin Plaza places you in the heart of Cusco, within a 15-minute walk of Plaza de Armas and Cusco Cathedral. Featured amenities include a 24-hour business center, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. Planning an event in Cusco? This hotel has facilities measuring 2690 square feet (250 square meters), including a meeting room. For a surcharge, guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle (available 24 hours) and a train station pick-up service.
