Nice location, restaurant and bar
The spa is horrible. It is apparently run by an external contractor. You have to pay extra for a dirty finish sauna with not more than 60 degrees celcius and one out of two spotlights broken. Scandalous
It did get better, the day shift was amazing, the spa was great and the manager took care of me before I left. The hotel and the area were beautiful. Thanks for a five start departure!
First impression, my first night and day was not good. It was a very disappointing start with a not so welcoming night shift front desk. After working and traveling all day, I just wanted to shower and go to bed, but a clog drained caused the bathroom to flood and I had to change rooms. This was an inconvenience for me, but the person I spoke with on the phone acted as if I was inconveniencing her. So, what should have been a relaxing time started out very stressful. Turns out the beds are too hard for me and, it was disappointing to receive room service that was barely warm
Very nice hotel with lovely staff. We would definitely stay there again. We ate at a great local restaurant called Mountain Cafe and bar just the other side of the lake from the hotel.
No negatives just helpful information for fellow travellers; 1. Hotel facilities listed as onsite are not in the hotel. They are close by in the ski village. 2. You can only buy ski passes, or rent skis, on a daily basis both in Alpensia and Yongpyong. Not a major problem but it is good to know. You need your passport for ski rental. It is such a pity that both ski areas are not linked by a ski lift, they are so close to each other.
I can't wait to come back to stay again already. This resort is amazing, and I am so so glad I made the choice to stay here over the other resorts. The room was super spacious and comfortable - such a wide king bed, and the rooms were still new and clean. Great view of the ski slopes from the balcony. Bathroom was very nicely decorated with both a shower and a bath. Spacious bathroom as well. Hotel facilities were great - they had a sauna, fitness centre, business centre etc. Staff were so helpful and friendly. They helped me get a taxi to Odaesan National Park and made so many helpful recommendations, and almost all of them spoke perfect English pretty much. Excellent location - just a 2-3 minute walk to the slopes and any of the amenities/shops in Alpensia Resort. For what we paid, we were very very satisfied. Amazing stay!
The hotel is good from the room to the service at the front desk
The mountain view that we expected was as great cuz it wasn’t as near as what we thought it was.
