10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place was beautiful from the lounge area fully stocked with everything to the room that had everything. Very peaceful and a beautiful view from the room
Cons: Nothing could have been better
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I loved the setup because it immediately encouraged relaxation and meditation. The staff was very attentive if there were any questions and were very flexible for room cleaning schedules. Also, the other offers (tea/coffee/wine/snacks/bath salt/beach gear/yoga mat) were a great addition!
Cons: The distance from the train, the sound of it going by was a gentle reminder throughout the day but I did like the distraction made by the white sound machine and the sound of the meditation pond near the room.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The accommodations and amenities were excellent. The place is very relaxing and spiritual. They respect the environment and make every effort to do so.
Cons: Location is near a train and a bit of a walk to a beach.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was nice, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was lovely.
Cons: The breakfast was strange, the delivery of dry oatmeal that you make yourself and a whole grapefruit and a cold egg was just not great. For the price we paid for the room a better continental breakfast should have been served in the reception area rather than packaged breakfast.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Fresh fruit and breakfast, comfy bed and lovely personal touches.
Cons: Freight train
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I was amazed at the design and the commitment to sustainability. The property is pristine.

Pros: Great B&B/Botique Hotel. The San Diego Botanical Gardens is less tha two miles away and well worth the visit.
Cons: Parking a little tricky but no biggie.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a little gem in Encinitas . Hidden away , it is a beautiful zen like place . The rooms were large , immaculate and comfortable . The owner ( who I cannot remember her name ) was great . Also provision of light bites throughout the day is a great touch . The cider , and banana cake were great . Very close to all amenities in Encinitas and only 20 minutes to San Diego . Would 100% recommend this place to anyone , An oasis of beauty in an area of generally tired motels .
Cons: Nothing .

Pros: Rooms, very secluded
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Attention to detail (fresh squeezed orange juice delivered each morning) and service by the staff are amazing. The bathroom was a spa like experience and the private patio with hot tub was delightful. The spa pool area was a lovely way to spend the day with frozen grapes as treats. Truly decadent and pampering.

Pros: Beautiful setting...STAFF REMARKABLE!! Spa pool: great food & service!! Food was amazing however OVERPRICED but that's to be expected when you stay at these type of resorts!! Concierge was over the top!!
Cons: Lots of bugs & spiders in our room!!! Had to kill them! The fire place shot out a fire ball the first time my husband tried to light it!!! Thinking someone left the gas slightly going??...burnt my husband's ear, hair & eye lashes!!!! They were very quick to respond and had maintenance look at it to make sure that we did not have a leak. Spa not great!! The facilities we very small...workout room ok...treatments way OVERPRICED!! We live in Scottsdale Arizona "Land of the spas" perhaps we are spoiled by great spas! Bocce Ball court Horribly maintained!!!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: - amazing spacious rooms, really comfortable and well decorated. really romantic setting. - big plus for the bathroom - staff was always very nice and polite - Veladora restaurant had really great food on site - spa and facilities were really nice too
Cons: - food at pony room was not as great as Veladora restaurant - pool area could have generally been a bit cleaner. pool floor, tables, restrooms seemed to have missed a once over although we seemed to be some of the first guests of the morning. - general noisiness from the aircon and pool heater (right by the bedroom).. such a relaxing environment that is unfortunately not completely quiet. - location is a bit remote, minimum 30min from san diego. Completely fine if you have a car and want a quieter stay though.

Pros: Absolutely stunning, beautiful resort, excellent restaurants, great spa and fitness facilities, staff welcoming and friendly. Very relaxing stay.

Pros: I really enjoyed my stay with my wife at Park Hyatt Aviara. Jenny Jang is at the reception was kind and very friendly, she was very accommodating and caring to our concerns. Cons: Cost of Golf for guests is too high.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The grounds of this Hyatt are absolutely beautiful and so are the rooms.
Cons: I thought $40 for valet parking was a bit steep but I didn't choose this hotel because I thought it was looking for bargain basement prices.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet, relaxed atmosphere. Room appointments. on Excellent view from room! Friendly, helpful service. Balcony
Cons: Guitarist was was mediocre. No Dodgers on TV.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved hanging out by the pool with my son, dining at the lobby lounge was easy, tasty and still very charming. Room was great , comfy bed!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was arguably one of the very best hotel experiences ever - after years of global travel on business and for leisure. The property is beautiful. Our suite was beautiful. Every member of staff was courteous, genuinely warm in their engagement with us and obviously well-trained. Service at every level was superb. It was expensive but worth it and it made our 13 nights memorable in a good way, standing out as the best of all hotels in our 5 week trip to California.
Cons: There was nothing to not like other than some of the expense for golf but then again it does not disguise its top of the market positioning
6.8 Good
Pros: If you value customer service- Staff will treat you like a king/queen. Three people to open the doors. Useless in my opinion. Beverage (water/coffee) offered anytime. They had live music some nights. Pianist and a guitar singer. Great fitness center and it’s open 24hours. Wish the swimming pool were open later/earlier. Wasn’t able to enjoy it. Fluffly blankets and great mattress. Pillows could be better.
Cons: I had requested a fridge be placed in our room a couple weeks before our weekend. The fridge wasn’t there when we checked in. However, they did put one in later that day when i mentioned it. Also, they mentioned they do a little extra for birthday celebrations. But didn’t see anything in the room. I didn’t bother ask. I was just annoyed at this point. I didn’t like their mandatory valet parking system. The wait would be unecessarily longer than it should be. And they favor the luxury cars first. A mandatory fee was added per night. For the price, i would expect free parking or self parking available at least. And shuttle service should be expanded to the beach at least, not just the outlet.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is absolutely beautiful! It has a lively beach decor which is fitting since it is a block away from the beach. My family always stay in the family suite and its very spacious. The beds are large and so comfortable. We love the fact that this hotel has an in room DVD player and you can borrow a DVD from the front desk for no extra charge. Also, you can borrow beach chairs, beach towels, beach umbrellas, beach toys and boogie boards for no extra charge! You can bring them back all sandy and they don't even mind. As an added bonus, they offer complimentary fresh cookies and milk every night. The complimentary breakfast is also delicious. You can choose from cold cereal, toast, muffins, bagels and croissants, to eggs, bacon, hash browns and pancakes, or even oatmeal fresh fruit and multiple choices of juice, tea, coffee and hot cocoa. We also enjoy the beautiful pool, jacuzzi and ping pong table (where we tend to get a bit competitive). Every part of this hotel is always clean and updated. I have never found one thing that I dislike about this hotel, other than I always wish that our stay here was longer.
Cons: I would like to stay here longer than we do.

Pros: The room was large. Good sized fridge, sink and microwave in the room. Excellent large bathroom and shower. Evening cookies and milk was a great idea and a big hit. Lots of fresh coffee available at breakfast. Two laundry rooms with wash powder and dryers were very much appreciated.
Cons: Needed more fresh options at breakfast, everything was a bit processed with only a small bowl of fresh fruit. The breakfast can also get crowded. The staff were not very proactive and unwilling to go the extra inch to help (except for the breakfast kitchen staff and the shuttle drivers who were amazing).

Beach Terrace Inn - Carlsbad - Building
5
9.3 Excellent (434 reviews)
C$ 433+
Overview Reviews
Beach Terrace Inn is in the heart of Carlsbad but on a quiet street that suites the hotel’s Zen, surfer-like ambiance. Nestled between costly beach cottages, the hotel maintains an upscale resort aesthetic without feeling stuffy. Kids enjoying the beach, lounging older couples, and young couples hitting the Southern California waves all can be found here. However, the atmosphere is suited best for couples seeking a relaxing holiday. Located right on the beach in the heart of Carlsbad, The Beach Terrace Inn is in a pristine location. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, and entertainment within walking distance, but the commuter rail line that connects to San Diego's Gas Lamp Quarter is two blocks away. The main local attraction is Legoland California, just ten minutes from the hotel. Several great beaches, golf courses, and lagoon are fairly close, but downtown San Diego is a 40-minute drive away. Aside from free parking and a private beach, amenities are scarce. There is an outdoor heated pool and whirlpool surrounded by a deck with plush lounge seating. The WiFi is free, as is the continental breakfast. Beach chairs and umbrellas are also available to guests free of charge. When it comes to the rooms, the main draw is that some rooms feature ocean views situated right over the sand and offer private balconies. All of the rooms are large and feature conveniences such as custom pillows, flat-screen TVs, iPod docks, mini-fridges, and wet bars. Business travelers enjoy the full work desks in every room. The toiletries come in bulk sizes which is uncommon for boutique hotels. Beach Terrace Inn offers the ultimate escape on a private stretch of beach. Travelers looking for a beach escape will find a haven at the hotel.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location
Cons: We booked a room that should have had a fireplace but when we arrived the room "assigned" did not have this. They were happy to change our room but it was not ready to be occupied. They offered to expedite the cleaning of the room though this did not occur. When we did want to use the fireplace, they were out of the type of artificial logs that they use until later that evening. Odd to see rooms at a premium with fireplaces but nothing to put it the fireplace. It did all work out so no major issue, just not a 5 star experience.

Cons: Since there isn’t a full service restaurant, there aren’t any restaurants close by (if you are new to the area). It’s really just located around other hotels. There are no facilities for charging an electric vehicle. There is an outdoor outlet, but it’s located right next to a handicapped parking space. That’s a deal-breaker for us, so we won’t stay there again. There are hotels nearby that do have those stations so they really need to upgrade.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice
Cons: Not on beach
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Girls at front desk were amazing. Rooms were nice sized and clean.
Cons: Parking lot being resurfaced which made parking hard.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The complimentary breakfast and dinner with cocktails is an excellent value add. The rooms are very comfortable and much nicer than most overnight lodging where your seat choice is typically your bed.
Cons: Being near family attractions the hotel can be noisy with the number of families that tend to stay here because of the excellent value. For that reason, get to the complimentary meals early to avoid the rush. Also, request a room that faces the parking lot and not the pool. The pool area is well lit and very noisy at night as kids play in the pool until it closes at 10 p.m. It would be beneficial if the hotel would tell guests checking in at the time of this situation and inquiring whether they would prefer a room facing the parking lot. But, for this situation, the hotel would have rated 4 stars all around.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location is good for families going to Legoland.
Cons: The room we reserved wasn't ready at 4pm when we arrived, but not until well after 5:30pm and then shortly before 7pm the power went out for 5 1/2 hours! The front half of the parking lot was blocked off for repair. Parking was limited in the back and we had to walk far to get to our room. Dinner is only provided Monday to Thursday, so if you stay over a weekend there's no food in evenings.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Totally comfortable, great breakfast, check-out time noon, two TVs.
Cons: If I could have opened windows for fresh air.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We’ve been here before and loved the apartment like feel and free breakfast. Also the Hilton bag with snacks and water, nice touch
Cons: We’ve been to this hotel before, although he paid twice as much because it was comicon weekend… Even though we weren’t going to, con

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nettled in a bustling cute downtown Del Mar, one is instantly transported to a calming beach vibe. You can feel the ocean and take in an awesome view. The property is cozy, the staff is friendly, and the cheeseburger was delicious!
Cons: There is a parking lot and condo community in between the resort and the beach. Though a minor disappointment, it doesn’t make access difficult.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Central location
Cons: Reception staff not terribly friendly. Spa and valet staff were very professional, friendly and accomodating. The rooms are far from yucky but I won't exactly call them clean either.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Did not appreciate being sent to the Lobby to accomadate large sales group They should have been set up elsewhere
Cons: Our garden room overlooked the sidewalk and the street!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location was great, very close to the beach. The Spa was excellent, I had a great massage!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The entire staff was noticeably helpful and friendly. Especially extra care from Alex, front desk, Chase from valet and Amy and Rory from the restaurant. Considering having my daughters wedding here. Beautiful property.
Cons: The thermostat was a light beacon at night, covered it with a hat. Needed extra blankets.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place was excellent! We loved the smaller size which gave off a high-end, beach vibe. The views from the restaurant on the patio (also seen from the lobby/bar) were amazingly beautiful. Dinner at 1540 was great and we appreciated the dessert customized for the birthday we were celebrating. The room was lovelier than the pictures online.
Cons: The only downfall was our own schedule. We were not able to spend enough time to enjoy all the amenities or the charming town. We will definitely be back when we can spend more than one night.

Pros: The kitchen and being so close to the beach
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location just a minute walk to beach. Great hot tub and pool. Amazing friendly staff with towels and beach gear free to use each day. Beautiful grounds and housekeeping.
Cons: Pillows too fluffy for my taste.
7.0 Good
Cons: I thought some of the staff could have been friendlier.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: location amazing-there could've been a little bigger selection for breakfast but the stay was magical !!!!!!!
Cons: as I said a little better breakfast selection would've been nice
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved everything about Ocean Palms! The location was amazing and the room and grounds were beautifully maintained. The staff was very kind and accommodating. We loved borrowing beach equipment from the front desk and sitting by the fire pits at night. Our room was the deluxe studio, which wasn’t very large, but it had a very functional kitchen and a bathroom perfect for coming back from the beach. Downtown location is great, in walking distance of the beach, restaurants and small grocery store.
Cons: You can’t actually see the water from the majority of the rooms but for the price and the fact that you are literally 20 feet away from the beach entrance we didn’t care.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, super close to the beach and shops/restaurants. Very family friendly, clean and quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful, gave great recommendations. Would definitely stay here again!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great service by the staff. We had a small child above us that was training for a marathon. We spoke to the manager twice at the front office who told us they would call the party above us and handle this. After the second time of talking to the manager they actually called us (we were out for breakfast) and said that another 2 bedroom room had become available. I had to pay additional money to upgrade, but the kids loved it. Bigger bathroom, living room and kitchen. The highlight was the hot tub on the porch. Stayed 6 nights and the last 3 were the best!
Cons: The noise above if you are on the first floor. We understand families are vacationing and have small kids. However, I was strict with my girls and made sure they were never running or jumping if someone was below us. Now they understand why!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The front desk personnel was exceptional in being helpful about the resort! She was willing to make sure our "stay" at Ocean Palms Resort was really nice. The rooms are bright and cheery and very clean! The grounds are beautiful! We will return!
6.0 Good
Pros: Location to beach and restaurants.
Cons: Said it included breakfast but actually not a breakfast.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location and pleasant staff.
Cons: Would suggest the resort offer donuts and muffins in the morning for those who don't eat breakfast.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location was amazing. Loved they provided beach towels and had lot of events. Great for kids.
Cons: We had a door which connected to another room and the sound really traveled to our room.
7.5 Good
Pros: Property
10.0 Excellent
Pros: OKAY
Cons: Fruit was excellent - pastries were tough not flakey - you need to serve breakfast daily with a larger selection for those who are hotel guests.
7.5 Good
Pros: Beach cabana with boogey boards, chairs, and umbrellas. Nice gym. Location walking distance to many restaurants, shops, train and beach. Staff was diligent about cleaning common spaces such as outdoor furniture pillows.
Cons: Room was pricey at >$300 a night for a first floor double queen facing a wall. Pool was too small for size of resort and water got visibly dirty/discolored with so many people using it.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely location, staff were unfailingly friendly
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cleanliness, quiet rooms, location and the housekeeping staff.
Cons: I understand that front desk employee's should be professional but friendly and kind smiles would help.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location, (walk to everything) walk to beach, clean. Staff is wonderful. Daily activities (bingo, massage, ceramics, yoga, etc.)
Cons: The only thing is the construction. Jackhammers at 9am! We were warned; I just thought my family would be up by then, and they weren't. But it is necessary, and is being done well; this is a timeshare condo resort (mostly, except for the "hotel" rooms) and the construction is repair/upgrading the resort.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great. Very friendly. Clean.
Cons: Room was right next to elevator too loud.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful: the cleaning crew to the clerks at the front desk. The beds were very comfy and the restrooms were nice. I liked that there was an ADULT ONLY whirl pool. I loved all the amenities available at NO EXTRA COST: beach chairs, umbrella, bikes and how they were accessible at the beach so I didn’t have to carry them all the way up or down from the Inn. I also enjoyed the fire pits in the evenings!!
Cons: I didn’t like my walk to the inn from the parking. My path from the parking to the Inn was very unattractive. I didn’t like that on the website it says complimentary breakfast and it doesn’t say that it’s only served and available on a couple of days. I also didn’t like that on the website it said the Inn had a bar. Nope!! I didn’t see a bartender serving drinks at any time during my stay. I didn’t like that I was not able to reserve and know for certain If I was gonna be able to have a microwave. It would have helped me plan for some microwave meals, and thus save on $ and time. I really didn’t like how the pool was full of sand and dirty late in the afternoon. I wanted to swim in the latter part of the day, but the pool was yucky. If it’s gonna b open until 10 or 11 pm it should be cleaned intermittently so those that didn’t enjoy it during the day can do so in the evening hours.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location in the middle of Carlsbad is perfect.
Cons: I would have liked a room with a balcony.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Price too much. No microwave no continental breakfast, not real clean, front desk iffy, sliding door lock was some funky added on lock because the door lock was broken

3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The lake was pretty
Cons: Pool hours (9 am to 9 pm) were not convenient. There were no tables anywhere on the property to play cards or board games except for the pool area which was always locked in the early morning.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cute quiet area in the middle of town. Amazing staff
5.5 Okay
Pros: The concept of the hotel was very cute. The lake was pretty
Cons: Check in was a disaster. The staff did not seem interested or engaging at all. The messed up my sisters registration by charging her card with my room. The girl needed assistance with voiding the transaction and re-running my sisters card on the correct room, which took approx. 30 minutes to do. My other sister was checked into a storage closet room for some unbelievable reason. When I checked in after my two sisters they could not reprint the reservation summary that you sign for incidentals, etc. so I did not sign anything. when I did get my room I had to ask for my room keys and if there was anything they needed to tell me about check in and check out, Wifi, etc.. The customer service just was not there in my opinion. Once in the room there was a musty smell that we could not get past. The carpet was dirty and had spots on it. The bed was comfortable and the shower was clean, which is a huge win. I was there with 5 others and wanted to play a board game outside by the pool in the morning at around 7am. Unfortunately, the pool area is closed and did not open until 9am. We walked the grounds to try to find a table outside that we could sit at and play a game while drinking our morning coffee but this was impossible to find. We got home from the beach and dinner and went to go to the pool area to swim as we saw several people swimming. We found a table and started to get in the pool but were told that we had to leave because the pool was closed at 9am. Again the pool was closed! Very disappointed in the hours of the pool especially because it is summer in California. The pool area was trashed by partiers from the day and there were chairs that were flipped over and tons of trash around. We sat in the pool area for about 15 minutes prior to being told that it was closed and did not see anyone from the hotel straightening up the area. This property has potential but has missed out on the little items that make a property wonderful.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location , views, activities
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful resort. Clean and available parking. Safe environment, I slept very well no early noise even though lake was outside my balcony.
Cons: Not enough washcloths there was one washcloth, very minor but annoying to a mother whose kid used the one washcloth in bathroom.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We were visiting family who live nearby so the location was excellent. The two pools were great! Staff were very nice and took care of any issues that arose. The beds are very comfortable and the bathroom showers are great
Cons: We had to move our room twice the first night we arrived due to a small bug issue. The housekeeping staff did not adequately clean our bathroom or replace some towels a few times but it was nothing serious. The pool can get very busy, especially on the weekend and towels can be scarce. That being said, I would definitely stay here again
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The lakeside view.
Cons: A little over priced.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved everything about this place and will definitely be back! What a gem!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location great, amenities great, the kids love the s’mores! The room was spacious and clean other than the carpet.
Cons: The carpet in the room was really dirty and had a lot of stains.
5.0 Okay
Pros: We were under the impression breakfast was included. Disappointed to learn it was not.
Cons: Our room had several things that needed attention. 1. The window and window coverings 2. The large (and very heavy) sliding door to the bathroom did not function at all. It was off the track in a way that we could not get it fixed. No privacy which was very inconvenient since we were staying there with our grandson. 3. It just appeared that many things were in need of a little TLC
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely place and space. Very relaxing and peaceful. Great value.
1.0 Poor
Pros: I liked the location ok. It was quiet and relaxing area
Cons: Our room was completely differnt than what we booked. Instead of a king bed, there were two full size beds. And instead of a lake view, we got a view of their parking lot. They refused to provide compensatio for there mistake. The Manager was very rude.

6.5 Good
Pros: Location. Large rooms. Nice amenities.
Cons: Cockroaches in bathrooms by pool area. Should provide easier access to beach towels.
8.5 Excellent
Cons: The property overall is quite noisy from the inside guest traffic not outside street traffic. Whenever closeby guests move around, take showers or walk outside the rooms, we heard pretty much everything. It seems the property us quite old and does not have guest noise cancellation of any form. Thank you.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I love the breakfast.
Cons: Didnt really like the fountain drinks. They were all watered down.
6.3 Good
Pros: Breakfast was good, and beds where comfortable.
Cons: Not sure who was at fault, booking.com or Staybridge, but I reserved a queen suite with two queen beds a a pull out sofa bed for my wife and three children. Staybridge states that they have a king suite for us reserved. It only has a king bed and a pull out sofa bed. Not enough beds for all of us. They had no queen suits available. They had to provide a roll away bed. Shower had some mold on the tile, double door to bedroom didn’t closed all the way, and top dresser drawer in bedroom stayed open all the way and wouldn’t stay closed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything about this place is perfect in town for my sons bday called to confirm an early check in the girl in the front desk was very professional and helpful. Pros: Room was very nicely decorated and so right for the hotel's location.
Cons: Price was high but it was summer in Del Mar (near the beach) so not really a surprise.
4.0 Okay
Pros: The TV had an HDMI input.
Cons: It smells bad and looks tatty. A longer walk to the beach than I had imagined. Worth $--- a night max.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendliness of staff; upper scale room. We loved the room and hotel. They give you a coupon to eat in their cafe. Rooms have balconies. You can walk to several restaurants. If we were going to stay in Del Mar agzin, we would choose this hotel.
Cons: The ocean views are minimal.. There is one building below the hotel with very tall trees so the view isn't very good. The hotel is about 3-5 blocks away from the ocean straight doenhill. also no free breakfast. Twenty dollars to park near the beach.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed out stay at this property. Staff was friendly and efficient. Room was clean and comfortable which is very important to me. We ate at the restaurant and it was very good.
Cons: This is a very small detail, but represents comfort to me. While the property was remodeled recently and beautiful there were some details that bothered me. The doors to the rooms where scuffed and tacky looking. So it looks like they didn't replace the doors. The hook on the bathroom door was gone and the base was still there. Like I said small details, but important to me.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Literally everything! From the concierge assisting me in locating the best local restaurant, to the mini golf course that my kids enjoyed very much!
Cons: An additional fee was charged to my bank account, but was quickly reversed by staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean. Little bit of carpet in the room rather than all carpet. Pool was great. Even though it's in a commercial area there is lots of eat and a grocery store right by.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great service in the restaurant. Waitstaff was very attentive, quick and helpful.
Cons: Higher water pressure, but it was typical of newer waterwise hotels.

Pros: Room was large and nice
Cons: In an office park with nothing to do or see around it
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great Location
Cons: Security-someone had key to the room and took an iPhone charger. Very large. There were teams of high school soccer teams staying. Cheaply remodeled but ok for the price.

5.0 Okay
Pros: Location was great. Right by the beach.
Cons: Staff was surly and acted as though we were imposing. Nobody introduced themselves. A man approached my girlfriend requesting her room key. We had no idea he worked there. The whole experience was uncomfortable and odd.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very unique with a Spanish/south west vibe, loved it.....
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The room the balcony the jacuzzi great place to stay.
Cons: The parking. Every thing else was great
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The high ceilings and atmosphere of the room were really really nice. I enjoyed the fact that it is a locally owned business and there is a lot of thought put on creating a cozy and comfortable environment. The location is a huge plus too and I felt really lucky to be able to see both the sea and the stars from our room. Kind and helpful staff.
Cons: The rooms could be more sound proof.

Pros: We loved the overall character of the hotel and the location was perfect! The staff was nice and very helpful. The room itself had a great view, rustic charm and plenty of space for what we needed. We would definitely stay again!
Cons: The toilet in the room would not stop running and the WiFi was spotty. Also, being so close to the beach, having an option for laundry would have been nice.
9.5 Excellent

7.5 Good
Pros: Beautiful property, very well kept. Amazing landscaping. Raj at the front desk was great.
Cons: Food very expensive for the quality it had. Food was ok yet very pricey. Nothing special. Waiter in the restaurant was not good, not attentive, we had to always look for him, he seemed annoyed by our questions. Forgot his name but I know he was Mexican as we asked him where he was from. We just wanted to look around at the Edge pool with our baby and got kicked out immediately, they did not even let us look around
5.0 Okay
Pros: Was very clean and spacious. The food was very good. Bed was comfortable.
Cons: Phones in room didn't work. The iron ruined my shirt and staff was indifferent. The service was poor especially for a $500/night room.
9.1 Excellent
Pros: The grounds were amazing and well kept
Cons: The rooms were good but a little dated.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The pool area and various hot tubs were great. My kids did not come with, but looked like they had a great setup for the kids. I did not get a chance to golf, but having the golf course on site is awesome.
Cons: The facility was a bit spread out, so getting to the various places, especially with luggage, was a bit complex at times. Would have been nice to have been located a bit closer to our conference. Also would have been nice if the resort had a shuttle or two that went to downtown Carlsbad or the Ocean, etc.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. The spa the view the room. It was a grear stay.
Cons: Nothing
4.0 Okay
Pros: The pools, staff, and evening band were excellent.
Cons: The toilet was leaking. I called earlier about toilet issues and they sent somebody up to fix it. Later in the evening I noticed that it was leaking because my pants were wet.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Next time we pay that amount for a hotel room we would hope it not look and feel like a guest room in grandmothers home. Rooms are dated in furnishing, appearance, etc. they have used the old Spanish look as a crutch to not renovate and freshen up the facilities. Our stay at the Avirara was much more enjoyable And the accommodations and staff were exquisite. We will definitely stay there next time. The Omni was an “Omni” level disappointment.
Cons: Rooms needing update Spa staff was unwilling to allow for a day pass used on a Sunday even though my wife was going to get a massage and I was just going to use the Facilities. Bathroom shower grout Appeared visibly dirty. The bathroom had a musty smell about it as well.
5.8 Okay
Cons: Too crowded. Especially the pool area. Could not find seats for hours. Too expensive for what you get.
6.5 Good
Pros: beautiful grounds, amazing amenities, gym is 1000x better than the photos show.
Cons: my impression is that it isn't worth it unless you are staying in the top-tier room. Ours was a standard room... long, far walk from all amenities and parking, basic room features that could use updating, weird bathroom/toilet/shower setup doesn't give any privacy, and TV was not operable 2 or the 3 nights we were there.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was great, food was great, golf course was in wonderful shape, staff there was great too.
Cons: Our room, 802, smelled musty. We had to continuously sign back on to the free internet and sometimes it would take a half dozen attempts.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The outside of the Resort is well kept and staff are friendly.
Cons: The rooms were small for the price and the beds were very uncomfortable. We were on the second floor and we could here everything the people above use were doing. I called the front desk to change our room (since we still had one more night) because we couldn’t sleep, they said all the could do was send security to request them to keep the noise down. Which didn’t happen.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Restaurant had great good and the views were beautiful.
Cons: Updated room decor.
