10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is not a B&B - so no breakfast was prepared. But, our host Dave left some fresh goodies in the fridge, and you could have made a pretty nice breakfast for yourself if you wanted to.
Cons: The only thing (THE ONLY THING) that I would quibble about was the fact that the lighting in my bedroom had only 1 option - ambient, low intensity. Sounds nice right? But when you're working, you need a place (often at a dark time of day) when you need to crank-up the lighting to get work done. You also need a bright light option when you're packing (often early or late) to get out and make your travel itinerary on time. Again - that's a small thing. When my associate and I were there, we had the whole house to ourselves, so we could improvise work space locations. All-in, it was a pleasure staying there.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Terrific host. Beautiful home. Great location for all area amenities.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This bed and breakfast was the best I have stayed in. It has a welcoming atmosphere and you feel encouraged to use all areas of the home. The front sitting area has large windows so you can see the mountains and lake view. The kitchen is stocked with breakfast items and has spices etc if you wanted to cook your own meals. The bedrooms are roomy and luxurious. A pool table is available for use along with a elliptical machine. As the owner lives in a different house right beside this one, he is close enough for assistance but you do not feel that you are living in their home like most B&B's.
Cons: Although there are TV's in all the common areas there was no TV in my bedroom.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly owner, very high quality facilities and a good location.
Cons: We were at first disappointed that a prepared breakfast wasn't provided as it is in most B&B's.

10.0 Excellent

6.3 Good
Pros: Staff were pleasant and extremely responsive whenever we had problems. Location is good. Beds are comfortable.
Cons: We were in what may be their worst room, #32, back in a dark corner, so the room was dim even with lights on and curtains open. Some more powerful light bulbs are needed in this particular room. The toilet seat was broken at the time of check in. While staff immediately came to fix the problem, I believe this is something housekeeping should have noticed and addressed prior to checking anyone into the room. The following morning, the shower broke, with the tap attachment suddenly falling into 5 pieces. Again, staff came immediately to fix the issue, but I really do feel these kind of things should be checked regularly and maintained before they inconvenience guests. Also, the floors were tiled, which I like as it is much cleaner than carpeting, however, it does require a DAMP mop rather than just a vacuum cleaner. The floor always felt gritty, even right after housekeeping had been in. I am a barefoot indoors kinda person and after spending the evening walking across these floors, my feet were as dirty as if I had been walking outside.....
10.0 Excellent
Pros: spacious room and clean; with a bathtub!

7.0 Good
Pros: We’ve stayed here a number of times and the staff are always friendly and the room is always clean. This time we had a problem with the coffee maker and the housekeeping staff dealt with it immediately.
Cons: I feel like for the price you pay for the room, a few extra amenities wouldn’t hurt. Things like a towel rack, and a box of tissue would go a long way.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were great
Cons: The bed are slightly less hard than plywood sheets
7.5 Good
Pros: Great place for a quick stopover . Comfortable and easy to find.
9.5 Excellent

Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We went to the York St. Diner for supper and breakfast. We enjoyed the food but the supper portions were too large for us. The prices were very reasonable.
Cons: There was a coffee maker in our room but we would have liked a kettle for tea.

Overview Reviews

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Louisa is an awesome straight shooter. Great to do business with. Suites were huge and had everything imaginable for meal preparations. Furnishings looked quite new and were large and comfortable. Did I say the suites were huge ? Quiet building so I'm guessing they do a pretty good job scrutinizing guests.
Cons: On the negative the laneways and parking are very narrow and edged with abrasive raised curbs that will destroy your hubcaps. A big deal in a rental. They could use a smoking area or outdoor ashtray. East facing rooms can get quite warm but a shower and fan fixes that. There is no aircon. They could save a fortune by updating their shower/.bath hardware as it's either a gushing full blast or nothing. Just to switch from bath faucette to shower was multiple turns of a knob. I never did figure out whether the TV was pay for view or had any free channels.
8.8 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: On-site restaurant was fabulous and the room was very comfortable. Nice big bathroom and the mini fridge was a nice added bonus.
Cons: The sound of the neighbors on the same floor walking down the hall outside the room was very loud. Not sure if they were just really heavy steppers or if the sound insulation wasn't great, or maybe a combination of both?! They were very active in and out of the room and down the hall for several hours.

Pros: Very clean

Cons: Treadmill didn't work
5.8 Okay
Pros: The WiFi was really good and reliable
Cons: The furniture and cleanless of the room
6.8 Good
Pros: Bed is comfy The local food offered in the restaurant
Cons: We have stayed at the Duncan Ramada numerous times but this time was a not so good experience. The jets don’t work in the tub(although they never have we put good money to stay in the king suite for the tub) and the cold water tap fell off and little things are falling apart in the rooms making it seem run down. Had to wait to check in, no one around for 10 minutes. Waiter didn’t know the specials and forgot to bring the side of Clamato and our salad.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Nightmare experience! Ramada is my regular go to hotel in Duncan when I pass through in the past I’ve always had a good experience (I don’t have a credit card and have always used cash deposit here with no issues and easy check in) Not March 14 the poker faced receptionist informed me they had a policy change and now needs a credit card and will not take cash or debit ,I had a very long stressful day ,I was at a medical appointment earlier in the day to find out my Husband has terminal cancer I was emotionally exhausted and just needed to sleep I then ask for the manager who also says absolutely no cash or cash deposit ,my only option was to drive to money mart and purchase a prepaid credit card So I do that load my card come back to the hotel and the full price of the room is $5 over the amount on the credit card
Cons: Staff! Policies! Very uncomfortable sofa bed Inconvenience Absolutely nothing was offered to even make an effort to help ease the frustration of this stay

Cons: Close to Friday night pub closing late. Very noisy & disruptive in the early hours of the morning
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast. Super friendly staff. Clean room.
Cons: There was a faucet leak in the tub. It was leaking quite a bit even when fully turned off. It seemed like something they'd already know about. We put the rolled-up sticky mat up against the side of the tub to funnel the water to stop the dripping noise and it was fine.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful
Cons: The carpets were vert dirty, the phone in the room had a lot of dust on it. (Couple millimeters of dust) The shower curtain was badly stained. The room had a horrible smell of sweat/mildew. It appeared that the curtains had not been washed in years. There was a lot of dust on window sill. I have stayed in many Super 8, never seen one this dirty. Reception made a comment that the maid has a sore back?!?

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were top notch - morning and night desk staff, and chambermaids. Very friendly and helpful. The place was very clean.
Cons: Bathtub stopper didn't work; we had to stick something in it to make it stay open so we could shower. Beds weren't the greatest. fridge wasn't very cold; we had it set at the coldest; freezer worked well, but really needed to be defrosted, which may be why the fridge wasn't cooling properly. The fridge did work, but should have been colder when turned all the way up, and for that matter, we shouldn't have had to turn it all the way up!
