I liked absolutely nothing about this hotel and would not stay there again if they paid me!
The car park was inaccessable. The bins in my room had not been emptied since the previous occupants left. The plumbing rumbled all night long keeping me awake. The "restaurant" was an Indian take away which was open to the general public and they served the worst curry I have ever tasted.
The owner was delightful and the whole flavour of the place reminded us of a place where we used to work (a wee bit Faulty Towers in the nicest way) The breakfast was nice and the diningroom was pleasing to the eye.
The room was too small for a double, as was the en suite. The TV did not work, there was a problem with the door lock (which broke and therefore remained unlocked) and the blind was stained.
Room and bedding was clean. Receptionist was pleasant and friendly.
Ensuite shower room was small: no where to hang bath/shower towels; toliet too close to wash hand basin. Blinds or a net curtian at bedroom window would aid privacy. Service at breaakfast, whilst pleasant, was questionable in terms of availability of food/drink and efficiency.
Clean hotel and staff very friendly
Room was too small and spartan, no proper dressing table, no hairdryer and not enough surfaces to lay anything down. En-suite was too small. Breakfast was poor with not enough choice. For someone who cannot have citrus juice I was left with nothing to drink.
Helpful friendls staff
The room, the location, the staff,...
sheets & towels clean
carpet filthy-did not look like it had been hoovered for a long time-no milk on first day-too far out of town
The view was excellent and the breakfast good and the rooms warm and adequate.
I would have liked a bedside lamp to read by at night and had to get out of bed to turn off the light. The dining room was very cold too.
The fact that we could have the use of the microwave ovens and cook our own meals. The ability to have continental breakfasts at an early time in the mornigs.
