Excellent 10.0
Pros: Clean rooms, great front desk staff! Great location for air travelers with many nice restaurants nearby.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: The standard of the room, spa and staff
Excellent 10.0
Pros: breakfast is excellent
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Breakfast very nice. Excellent bed and room.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: This is country house type hotel in large grounds but close to the the centre of Edinburgh and even closer to the airport..The hotel setting is obviously popular as a wedding venue. Spa facilities are very good and this is a hotel where you could easily relax and chill.
Cons: Service in the brasserie was poor, plenty of staff around but lacking a sytem for managing the tables and overall leadership. Although we had a large room, we discovered when we entered the bathroom that it was adapted for a disabled person, which meant no bath , wet room shower and equpped with rails , emergency cords and a shower seat. We feel we should have been told this on arrival and we could have decided whether we were happy with this or not.
Excellent 9.5
Pros: Stunning Building, Grounds and surroundings. Staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Room was stunning. Breakfast best I’ve ever had!!
Cons: Man on reception at night was quite rude when I asked a question regarding air con controls in room.
Good 6.3
Pros: They were very good and organised a taxi to pick us up from where we were supposed to be collecting our car hire but it did take over 45 mins to arrive
Cons: The children weren't allowed to use the pool after 11am so that ruined my plan of us using that! We didn't get there until midnight due to issues with hire car etc so it was a complete waste of money paying to stay in such a nice place if we couldn't use the pool the next day as planned
Good 7.0
Pros: Location was on and bed comfortable.
Cons: We stayed in room 710 for a night. The sink in the bathroom was cracked and imperfections around the bath too.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Quiet location near Edinburgh airport
Good 6.8
Pros: Location
Cons: Service was poor especially in the restaurant. Waited 30min to be served and a further 30min for wine to be served. Complained to staff and reception but got a poor response.

Excellent 8.0
Pros: Location was perfect for our late arrival Walking distance to car rental companies
Cons: Breakfast is correct, could be better Shuttle is free on the way out, really expensive to go back (5£ for 5 minutes...)
Excellent 8.0
Pros: location to airport
Cons: it had everything you needed for an overnight stay when waiting in a flight
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Good location and very clean, modern hotel.
Cons: The breakfast was a bit basic.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The warm and welcoming staff. The level of cleaning in the facility. The location. Mainley the staff.
Cons: Nothing. Everything is always perfect when visiting these hotels.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything
Cons: All good
Good 7.5
Pros: Good location
Cons: Staff unfriendly and very slow service at bar for food extra not really impressed with that side of the hotel
Good 7.1
Pros: This is an "in-and out" hotel by the airport, not a place to go for holidays. It is very near the airport but not at all walking distance to the terminal, especially if you're dragging bags. Many thanks to staff who responded promptly to my email questions.
Cons: Typical poorly lit hotel room and small. Not HOT breakfast until 0630 (cold breakfast at 0430(?)). It is a hotel for transients and travelers and should serve hot breakfast sooner in the morning. There is a frequent shuttle but you get gouged at L2.50 per person.
Excellent 8.0
Cons: Location was in the middle of a parking area and very difficult to get to without a car
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Easy access to the show ground
Cons: No fault found
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Good place to stay close to the airport. Very clean, 24 hour airport shuttle and breakfast starts at 4 AM.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Parking, beds, reception staff and minibus transfer to airport
Cons: We arrived later than planned due to the torrential rain and terrible journey. Checked in well and parked up long stay. Reception staff were fair. Unfortunately after a tiring journey we ordered food at the bar at 2133 hours. 3 minutes after deadline for main menu. Young male at bar did not help in resolving our order of sides of chips, rings, coleslaw for my wife and 2 girls. .
Excellent 9.5
Pros: Helpful staff, both on our late arrival and in the morning.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Lovely wee hotel spotless, great food and reasonably priced definitely be back
Cons: Nearly took exhaust off the car as we missed the turn in to carpark could only see the wee dirt track road round the back not a good idea
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Room was well equipped and well appointed. Good size
Cons: Check-in could have been a little quicker
Good 6.8
Pros: Lovely location under the Forth Bridge. Some of the staff were helpful and pleasant. Continental breakfast was adequate (good croissants).
Cons: Bed sagged considerably in the middle and wasn’t comfortable. We phoned to explain we were arriving late (as we were travelling a long distance and got stuck in traffic). We were told it was not a problem. Arrived just after 11pm and everything was shut. Eventually someone opened the door and was quite rude. Not sure what else we could have done.
Okay 5.8
Cons: The coffee in the morning was terrible. The rooms were in need of refurbishing. Very poor sound proofing
Good 7.0
Pros: The location.
Cons: One of the staff was rude.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Charming old inn. Parking was easy. Well appointed, in keeping with the historic charm of the building.
Good 7.0
Pros: This hotel serves its purpose, it's a good place to stay in a beautiful town. It's right on the water which is lovely. We didn't eat at the pub, but it looked lovely.
Cons: There were a few issues- there was only a tiny bit of toilet paper left for us when we arrived so we had to go to the bar to ask for more (which they gave us, but we shouldn't have had to ask). There was also no cover on the toilet, which I find to be disgusting. Toilets should never be flushed without the cover, the water and bacteria spray everywhere, so I was VERY skeptical of the cleanliness of the bathroom. The bed also wasn't super comfortable, but it did the job. There were no outlets anywhere near the bed, which is super frustrating.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: The staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Cons: The continental breakfast could have done with a bit more choice. There was no cheese or eggs and no natural yogurt or bananas in the fruit selection.
Okay 5.8
Pros: Pleasant surroundings, went for daughters wedding family members were with us too which was nice we could all stay in one place.
Cons: Our room was in a poor state, could have done with a good coat of paint, curtains hanging off the pole in places. Other family members had better rooms.
Excellent 9.3
Pros: Superb location
Cons: No mention of train noise some people might not expect as so close to bridge.

Pros: Staff were great especially in the restaurant
Cons: Pull out bed in family room was so uncomfortable couldn’t use it longer than a day
Excellent 8.2
Pros: Food was really good At Breakfast and also in the main dining room
Cons: More staff on the check in-desk.
Poor 1.0
Pros: Near the Airport. Parking included.
Cons: No functionally air condition. No hairdryer. Everything in the hotel was outworn. Expensive breakfast. Disappointing for the money. Not again!
Excellent 8.8
Pros: A good distance from the city centre but has a bus that is very easy and accessible
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Lovely room and the Air Con was appreciated
Cons: Shower in room 33 either hit the back wall or flopped over the tap not a good experience in the morning hopefully reception passed problem onto handy men. At breakfast could not believe the number of people who squeezed behind my chair and a pillar when all they had to do was walk round our table so inconsiderate.
Excellent 9.3
Pros: I stayed here for 3 days with my family. we enjoyed our stay at Marriot Edinburgh. Its about 20 mins drive from attractions at city centre. Breakfast buffet was good and health club facilities including swimming pool are nice. Overall its nice hotel for families to stay.
Cons: live counter was missing on Saturday an Sunday breakfast time. Swimming pool closed at 8PM on weekends.
Good 7.0
Pros: Good facilities. Comfortable bed.
Cons: Late check-in (from 3pm). Superior deluxe room felt quite small. 20 min by bus from city centre.
Excellent 9.5
Pros: Staff were very good, bed very comfy, and food good. Knowledge of staff to help with directions and getting about was great.
Cons: Doors to rooms slammed shut making a very loud noise, which in the middle of the night was a real pain. And people in the corridors being very noisy. Also who thought that climbing over a very high bath for a shower was a good idea, especially when you put the grabrail right next to the excuse for a shower, you hit it every time you move to wash yourself, get rid of the bath and just have a shower that works properly.
Good 7.5
Pros: parking spaces recreational facilities clean
Cons: the bath tub needs updating
Excellent 9.5
Pros: The bedroom was very well equipped. It was convenient being on the ground floor. Without exception, the staff were delightful.
Cons: I can’t actually think of anything.
Excellent 8.0
Cons: Pool and spa area needs attention.
Mediocre 3.8
Cons: I’ve had one of the worst experiences at this hotel. I stayed here for 4 nights. The AC was not working and even after I complained to the staff they didn’t look into the issue until the second night of my stay. Instead of fixing the AC they gave me a portable air cooler. The toilet flush was not working. I had complained about this thrice but nobody bothered to fix it. When I rang up room service asking for drinking water, they refused saying they are not sure if the water is complimentary, to which I replied I’m willing to pay but this is no way to speak to a customer. The room service staff was impolite. On the last night of my stay, there was no hot water in the bathroom and the hotel staff said there’s nothing they can do to help. After paying almost 250-300 pounds a night they were unable to provide me the basic infrastructure (AC, geyser, water, proper flush) and moreover the staff was impolite. I would never recommend this property to anyone after having such a horrible experience. Even budget lodges like Travelodge provide better services than this hotel. This is very disappointing and least expected from a hotel like Marriott.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Convenience. No wait for bus to the airport Comfortable room. Nice supper and good servicr
Cons: No
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Great location for dropping off car rental to airport and taking shuttle (or even walking) to terminal.
Cons: No AC!
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Quiet and clean, near the airport. Staff was supportive and smiling all the time
Good 6.8
Pros: Restaurant swimming pool
Cons: The rooms were too hot and unbearable to sleep in so would probably not stay again
Excellent 8.8
Cons: Didn’t like the bed was most uncomfortable needing replaced. And the parking charge £28 for 2nights was ridiculous.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: The staff were very accommodating, I cut foot in my room by dropping something on it, and they made sure I was able to clean it and bandage it sufficiently for me to enjoy my trip.
Cons: The T.V. in our room ceased to work after the first night, not great as we like to keep up with the news. Ultimately though, we were compensated for this. The air conditioning didn’t seem to be working, this meant the room was very hot during the night time. A fan was provided in an attempt to alleviate the problem.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Ease of getting to the airport.
Cons: I couldn't find any breakfast food on their menu. This seemed strange, but the television menu just didn't seem to have any breakfast options.
Good 6.8
Pros: Proximity to the airport
Cons: Basic rooms - incredibly hot - no decreeable working air-con - tried to have the window open and a fan on.. (it was a cool evening outside) - but aircraft noise incredible! Beds a little hard - restaurant food fairly priced but very average. Shower is a ‘mist’ not a shower ..
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Great location near airport. Very confortable bed. Great breakfast
Mediocre 3.8
Pros: The hotel is very dated and needs an upgrade Bedroom was not clean- cobwebs and dusty everywhere Bedsheets had to be requested to be changed as they were stained (coffee) and dirty- housekeeping were prompt to do this BUT it should not have been in this condition. Location however is excellent if you have an early morning flight
Cons: Hilton standard and brand comes with a reputation and this hotel did not meet the brand image. Didnt feel it was good value for money and would not stay here again.
Good 7.0
Pros: convenience to airport
Cons: Minimum tea and coffee in room. Would have been nice to include shortbread for the price charged
Excellent 9.5
Pros: Convenient for airport and trams into the city

Good 7.5

Cons: Nil
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Ease.of check in. Good rooms
Cons: Nothing all good
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Comfortable, clean hotel with great transport links to the City centre. Have stayed here a few times.
Cons: Nothing.
Okay 4.5
Pros: Bed
Cons: Very unfriendly hostile customer service Not helpful and very harsh , not accomodating Been booking hotels numerous for years for business and leisure and this is first experience of missing luggage contents after taking in rush luggage from reception, please don't make my mistake check before and after you collect luggage before leaving , opened luggage at home and was filled with scarves hats not my birthday shopping , totally devastated made worst by insensitive defensive manager
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Clean and friendly staff.
Cons: Not much bathroom privacy and no refrigerator in the room to keep my medication in.
Mediocre 3.3
Pros: I liked the light changing colour in the shower and the lights around the room
Cons: I didn't like the toilet and sink being separated, I didn't like the extra bed over the double bed, the window didn't open fully, the a/c wasn't working, the breakfast had no variety and poorly organized, had to boil your own egg. Poor quality at breakfast - burnt muffins. Pastry was hard.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: Location great as the tram stop was very close for cheap travel to the city centre
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The free tea and coffee ,all staff very helpful and happy looking very peaceful inside and out, also very handy for the tram, buses and shops.
Cons: The shower in not very private when sharing a room, there was 3 of us and we had to sit downstairs while 1 of us had a bit of privacy at a time to get showered and dressed. Also could do with a couple more umbrellas outside.
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Staff helpful and friendly. Clean and tidy
Cons: Toaster didn't toast very well
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Easy to get to and from Edinburgh city for the Military Tattoo
Excellent 8.8
Pros: Lots of food but with so many guests there was a little few staff to supply it. Also there was not quite enough space for everybody.
Cons: Could have been one more members of staff.
Okay 5.5
Pros: As a blind guest I was given a room close to the lift as requested
Cons: Traveling alone without a mobile it would have been very helpful to have a phone in the room The tea and coffee station was pretty disgusting and not kept wiped down. It is a long way from Edinburgh Park Station...too far to walk.
