Kind reptionist during the evening, nice look of the building from outside
Staff in the morning did not want to give us breakfast at first although booked. Had to show booking confirmation to get breakfast. According to a guest who stays here more often, this unfortunately happens frequently. Beds not comfy.
The price, even though you can't escape the tax, which adds 20% more, but still the cheapest in town if you're travelling as a pair. The laudry service is cheap
Kitchen not arranged properly, and access only until 10pm and after 10am. You then found yourself with 6 groups trying to cook at the same time. Not practical The tax, that can't be avoided The mattress are super thin The toilets clog very easily
The facilities were very clean and most of the other staff were nice - just the breakfast lady came across a bit rude/strict. They helped with booking tours, one staff guy spoke good English. It had a bit of a country style vibe, which was nice - but felt a bit like they were trying to be a hotel, rather than a hostel.
This was the first place that I had to experience a different price than what booking told me - because they only accept cash you will always have to pay the tax on top of the price on booking ! The breakfast was not only very simple (bread and jam, coffee, tea) but the staff was also very strict about it - you are not allowed to use the kitchen while breakfast is on, also they were rude when we asked if we can have another piece of bread after we already left the table to get ready. (Also I don't like jam or hot beverages, so I couldn't really use it) A lot of rules on paper on the walls (no use of kitchen after checkout, no use of kitchen during breakfast). Kitchen was weirdly equipped (only massive pots, no small sized pots)
The afternoon receptionist was really really friendly and very helpful. Lots of good advice when we arrived.
Breakfast was supposed to be between 7am and 10am. We were late up one morning but still got down before 10am. We were refused service. The staff on duty refused to serve and were surly attitude.
They do not take credit card so you have to pay 21% extra.
