10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was awesome, respectful, courteous and very professional
Cons: Had an issue with hot and cold water temperature and just mentioned it to one of the staff and they promptly check on it.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very accommodating.
Cons: More should have been included for the price of the stay.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Our room was very clean, as was the premises. I also thought the company facilitating the tours on the dock was very helpful and convenient.
Cons: The smell was very bad. One of the nights it was even in our room and we could not fall asleep. Also, we were in room 11 and can hear everything from the restaurant.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Victoria House is truly a boutique resort! Everyone is super friendly and accommodating, and the resort is beautiful. The lodging was extra comfortable and the staff just made it really easy to hang out. Special shout outs to the bar team (Roxy, Tony, and "the young kid"). Great drinks and lively conversation.
Cons: No fault of Victoria House, but the seaweed was heavy on the Southside of the island. Basically, the beach was not swimable and there was a foul smell that your senses learned to adjust to after a few days, but it didn't take away from our stay.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff at Victoria House was the real star. They were extremely friendly and appeared to really want the traveler to have a great experience. Food was good, and the service was great.
Cons: The seaweed on the beach is a bit of an issue. The staff worked everyday to remove it but the fact that you can’t walk directly into the beach is a it of an issue. In conversations with other travelers this is an issue all along San Pedro.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff and the people here are amazing ! This place is super relaxing ! Thanks for making our honey moon fantastic !!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was incredible, the facilities had everything you need to have fun, relax and just getaway from it all. The proximity to water activities was the best. Could book anything extra right on property.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The food was excellent and we enjoyed it all.
Cons: The drinks were crazy expensive. A $10 dollar mimosa is nuts. We would had drank a ton more had it been reasonable.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful, clean hotel and friendly stuff.
Cons: The beach is “protected” with a concrete wall. This disrupts the ecosystem and the natural flow of sand. Also very hard to swim in this man made pool. Not possible to make nice walks on the shore line, too much garbage and too much natural destruction. Unfortunately, the environment was not a priority when they constructed this place.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Staff was excellent, attentive to every request.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Food was the bomb! Warm welcome. Service and attentiveness and friendliness of staff was unmatched! They served you anywhere and everywhere on the property - including on the dock. Always promptly attending with a smile. Total relaxation. Hotel picks you up from the airport, drops u off, arranges all trips, scuba pickup right off the private doc. Superb!!!! Beds and pillow super comfy, friendly staff, abundance of towels, two pools including an infinity pool!
Cons: The overcharging overpricing on food and drinks was tacky. They charge $5 US to "split" a meal and put it on another plate. Their "complimentary" breakfast is worst than what you would find at a Motel 6. One of their employees taunted a beautiful iguana, stepped on its tail on purpose and ripped it off -- horrifying the guests who saw. Needless to say once we all complained this employee was not seen again on the property.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Facility is gorgeous and clean. The friendly and exceptional service from the staff stood out. Restaurant atmosphere/quality/ service exceptional.
Cons: Better choices of wines by the glass at the restaurant.
Cocotal Inn and Cabanas - San Pedro Town - Beach

Overview Reviews
With a stay at Cocotal Inn and Cabanas in San Pedro, you'll be steps from Belize Barrier Reef and a 5-minute drive from GoFish Belize. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Everything was great
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Cocotal was such a great place to stay. Our room was awesome and the staff was all so friendly. Ben and Yahaira are amazing, so helpful. Cannot say enough great things about this place. It was super handy having bicycles available as this was our primary mode of transportation during our stay.
Cons: Our A/C stopped working a few times during our stay. Every time we let Ben know he was very quick to have it looked at. Ended up being a bad sensor and as soon as it was changed we had no further issues.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cocotal was a friendly, quiet, clean, and relaxing place to stay. I appreciated the spacious, clean accommodations and grounds, as well as the use of the kayaks and bikes to get around. The staff was very helpful in arranging transportation to/from the airport and water taxi, which made the trip easy.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Ben was superb
Cons: Seaweed
7.5 Good
Pros: Furnishing was nice, the place was very clean. Showers were nice & used often. We really liked the screened in back porch, the pool, the covered dock, golf cart parking was excellent. TV cable was more channels than at home. Staff was super helpful, except with the a/c. Stafg helped us every single day from booking excursions to taking the kayaks to the water at the moment we inquired about them, to getting us another jug of water. Very friendly service.
Cons: A phone in the room to call the office to ask questions would have been nice and a broom & dust pan would have been helpful. Our living room A/C was not cooling, just blowing and we were ignored on that. We opened the bedrooms and turned on ceiling fans and it was tolerable. Bedroom a/c worked fantastic. They were going to put more freon on in the livibg room a/c once or shut down completely and we left. :(
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Well maintained property, quiet and relaxing. Perfect for a few days stay, though it might get a bit boring. If you want more action you will have to bike to the city, about 20 minutes ride.
Cons: Bed was squeaky, it was a bit far away from the city. Since we went in the off season many of the restaurants in the area weren’t open.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our stay was wonderful Staff was great
Cons: All was perfect
9.3 Excellent
Pros: A true get away from it all! Places to go and things to do just a rented golf cart away. Else wise the view was perfect for that get away feeling.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, beautiful facility and very clean
Cons: Nothing I can think of
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The cabana we stayed in was clean, comfortable, and adorable. Ben and his staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the (complimentary) bikes and the ability to rent a golf cart onsite.
Cons: The sea grass issue on the beach was unfortunate, but we still enjoyed ourselves. I highly recommend renting a golf cart (which you can onsite through Ben) and taking a trip to Secret Beach!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff and the perfect location for the area. Close to what you would want to do an see.
Cons: The air port is closer than we would have liked, certain times of the day it was noisy with all the flights just our the back door.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The suite was very big - full apartment size space
Cons: Directly in the middle of town - which was both a positive and a negative at different times during our stay
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property is very clean, very accommodating, and a great location!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very cleaned
Cons: Not much beach
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent. Close to all activity in the city. Would definitely recommend it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was perfect! Felt like home, kept up immaculately, wonderful location and the staff was amazing. We felt like we were home the whole time.
Cons: There is absolutely nothing to not love about this property.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is great - we had a room on ground floor - meaning almost directly on the beach.
Cons: Nothing bad about this place...
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The location of The Palms is on the beach and in the center of San Pedro across the street from the small airport. There are also several golf cart rentals very close by since this is the best way to travel around the area. The staff does a great job of keeping the grounds of The Palms looking beautiful and well groomed. The office staff and housekeeping respond quickly with requests and are friendly. We liked having a kitchen to cook breakfast and save a little bit of money since it is surprisingly expensive there ( a hamburger is $9 and fries are extra and a bag of potato chips is $5 at the local grocery store). There are also 3 dive shops within 100 yards.
Cons: The beds are a little too firm and the beach is hard to keep clean due to the seaweed. The seaweed or sea grass is all around the island and difficult to control. So no matter how much or how little you pay it affects every property.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Restaurants and shops are within walking distance. They provide free bikes. First 5 gallons of filtered water is complimentary.
Cons: Beach area is very small, lots of sea grass causing bad odor. They provided one pack of coffee, pay for more.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect. The beds were enormous and both bedrooms were large. Beautiful views from the back and front patio in our room. Fully equipped and modern kitchen.
Cons: Couches could be more comfortable and creaked when we sat down.
Tradewinds Paradise Villas - San Pedro Town - Building
4
9.4 Excellent (67 reviews)
C$ 275+
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had an amazing stay at Paradise Villas. Emmanuel was so helpful, from arranging the complimentary airport transfer to offering a later checkout, he was so friendly and went out of his way to accommodate everyone in every way possible. It isn't overly fancy, but the grounds are clean and well maintained, both the pool and ocean in easy walking distance of every unit, which is amazing with people with mobility issues. And the location can't be beat, it is so quiet yet is walking distance to shops, restaurants, groceries, activities, etc. There is a pier right out front of the property with stairs to access the ocean around the sargasso (it was May, so it was sargasso season, but there was no smell whatsoever here), as well as a restaurant that will lower you buckets of beer as you float around in inner tubes. Plus everyone we encountered who were staying at the property were laid back, friendly and welcoming, we had many great poolside chats and drinks. Will definitely be returning!
Cons: Honestly, nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect! The room is modest but fully functional and enjoyable! We loved staying here!
Cons: The bed was not firm enough for our liking, and not enough pillows
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location, staff, bed was v comfy, air con efficient
Cons: Pool was a little small, but didn't really spend time there
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Would love a firmer couch.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Well equipped and spacious in a quiet location but only 5-10 minutes walk to restaurants and bars
Cons: Hidden costs of resort fees not included in headline cost
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the location! The hotel is located right on the beach! The hotel is also located right in the city center, walking distance to restaurants, beaches, bars and night life. The hotel is also located almost directly across a police station which made us feel very safe. The staff was excellent. Special recognition to Emmanuel for being exceptional! Emmanuel answered all emails in timely manner and thoroughly. Emmanuel was very friendly, warm, kind and helpful. I can tell he really likes his job and it made us feel welcomed!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: With its northerly location its quiet enough to relax but close enough to be able to walk to everything in town. Every aspect of the staff was superior from the security guys at night up to the managers. The welcoming was thought out and efficient, The room was very clean and room service did a greater than expected job keeping it that way. Overall a great place to stay.
Cons: One thing worth noting was the bed. It was pretty dang hard and for our liking and the pillows however soft were very small. That said this was not an issue with our stay, just something we would have preferred to be better. There is no doubt in my mind had we asked we could have gotten more pillows.
5.5 Okay
Pros: good Location
Cons: No facilities at the property, no restaurant, no bar, no housekeeping on Sunday. They charge like it was a 4 star hotel when it is only like a bunch of villas around a pool.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location ideal, walk to town 2 minutes, staff excellent, very helpful and friendly pool very clean, loads of bars, restaurants, shops, etc, all within walking distance, no need for a golf buggy. Villa had all you want, inc well stocked full kitchen.
Cons: Only the long flights from u.k.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, spaciousness, having more than one room, incredible view of the water, beautiful pool area
Cons: Can’t think of a thing

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location, Staff, pools
Cons: Food at Restaurant,
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Front Desk staff were extremely helpful. All staff were courteous and always centred on customer service.
Cons: Cart rental from F and S Carts was great as they refueled the cart and washed the cart while parked at the resort however there was nowhere to lock belongings in the carts.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly! My kids loved the hammocks!
Cons: The food on site was expensive. We ate off site most of the trip.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very nice and accommodating. We stayed in one of the Casitas with a full kitchen, which was well supplied with cooking items. Beautiful pools with swim up bar was nice. Food was good and reasonably price. They also offer free use of bikes, kayaks and standup paddleboards.
Cons: The beach is not very nice because of all the seaweed that washes up on the shore. However, this is true of all of the resorts on Ambergris Caye.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is beautiful. Very clean, great rooms and close to town. The staff was amazing. Everything was seemless from the minute I landed in Belize City until checkout, the staff made sure everything ran smoothly. They were willing to accommodate our requests and were there to help when needed. I loved having the golf cart rentals onsite, free bike rentals and the free water bottles in the room.
Cons: The only downside is you can’t swim at the beach. Though the staff works tirelessly to clean up the sea grass, the beach isn’t ideal for kids and swimming. Luckily secret beach is a short 20 min ride away and well worth the trip.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We were treated so well by the staff, from the moment we landed in Belize city their focal made sure we were on the next flight out to san pedro. Impressive service beyond our expectations. Thank you.
Cons: Hard to say, but the bar/dinner menu could be improved. We would have dined here more had they had a more interesting selection. Their breakfast cafe was lovely though. The beach was clean but all beaches along the strip are not swim friendly. If your not in front of a hotel the beaches are filthy full of garbage. What a shame that Belize governmant does not take better care of this gem. We would not return to Belize due to the garbage and lack of effort from the local goverment to cleanup.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Coco beach is an excellent resort with an extreem lovely and helpful staff! The place is big and very nice/fancy with 2 big pools! We had an awesome time here! Dinner at cocoblanca was very majestic! To bad we were the only guests.. An other big plus are the beds!! Big beds with very soft linnens and pillows!
Cons: It is a bit far from the center! They have golfcarts but they are very expensive! So we took the free bikes! Unfortunatly we couldn’t take bikes after 5 pm because it gets dark.. so for dinner we had to stay near the hotel with lesser food options.
9.3 Excellent
Cons: Bed was a bit hard for our taste
5.8 Okay
Pros: The staff at reception, Guest Services, and the lady at the golf cart rental booth. Bed is comfortable. Space of room is good.
Cons: They market it as luxury, but there is nothing luxurious about it. The facilities are boring and nothing special. It is hard to get to places. They ripped you off on transportation (USD25 for 3/4 miles distance) unless one takes water taxi. Golf cart is not always practical. They give you “subsidized” transport but not at timing that makes sense. I had to leave one hour early and ended up waiting around. My definition of luxury is customizing to what the Guests’ needs. Totally not value for money.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The pools & rooms were beautiful & clean. The staff were so friendly and really went out of their way to help with anything we needed. The pool bar has an awesome layout, atmosphere and menu.
Cons: There is no gym facility even though it says there is on booking.com It is too far from the main area of downtown, so you have to hire a golf buggy every time you want to go for dinner other than the hotel.
SunBreeze Hotel - San Pedro Town - Bedroom
6
9.1 Excellent (356 reviews)
C$ 255+
Overview Reviews
When you stay at Sunbreeze Hotel in San Pedro, you'll be on the beach, within a 15-minute walk of Belize Barrier Reef and Belize Chocolate Company. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage. Planning an event in San Pedro? This resort has facilities measuring 1496 square feet (139 square meters), including a meeting room.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Nice facilities
Cons: I booked through booking.com several months ahead a room for my wife and I in the Sunbreeze Hotel, which is not cheap at all. The hotel charged the full cost of my stay several months in advance. All I asked for when booking was a quiet room away from sources of noise like lobby, etc. The room they gave us when we arrived was precisely next to the lobby and to a lounge where people gather during the day and especially at night. I asked them for a change and they gave us a room that resembled a dungeon. Asked for another room and they took us to a better room for which we “should pay an additional amount”. After arguing with Betty, the lady in charge of the front desk, she finally gave us the appropriate room. The whole episode took one hour. When we were just entering to our room we saw other guests that checked in right after us and received a room like ours without any problem. What does all that mean? It means in the first place that they did have enough “good” rooms for arriving guests. In the second place, it means that Betty and the other lady at the front desk, Susy, do whatever they please giving rooms at will no matter what the guests have paid and requested in advance. Additionally, all the rooms’ windows have no mosquito nets (surprising for the prices we pay), the wifi network is very bad (even more surprising) and the restaurant within its premises has a quite limited and expensive menu. Besides, its food quality is not consistent. They have good and bad dishes in addition to showing no flexibility to requests from customers in regard to how should the dishes be prepared. The hotel claims that is concerned and cares a lot for the guests’ security, but we observed how a drunken bum entered to the hotel’s central area, screaming and carrying a beer bottle in the hand while no hotel employee bothered to control and take him out. He left the hotel facilities when he decided to do so.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Service was amazing!! Everyone was super helpful and friendly. Great location!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff attentive and exceptionally nice and informative. WiFi connection was great!
Cons: Really can’t think of a thing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Bed super comfortable, clean, the restaurant the food is amazing and they have happy hour for who is on the hotel from 3 to 530
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location with a very good onsite dive shop, nice pool, bar and restaurant.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was close to San Pedro. Walking distance to water taxi and airport and hospital. The room was spacious and seemed to be newly renovated. The shower had great water pressure. I injured my arm off property and they called to ask me how it was. That was nice. Their bellman walked us to our room and showed us how things worked. He even fixed a couple things immediately after getting us in our room. We had a problem with the toilet running the first two nights. After my second complaint, they fixed it.
Cons: I was very very upset about their "child policy." My son JUST turned 12 years old and I was forced to pay an extra $100 upon arrival. I was a hotel manager for years and this type of policy is unacceptable and not good customer service. These types of things should be looked over. It'd be one thing if he had been 12 for 6 months, but he literally just turned 12. I should have just lied. But thats not me. Also, the cost for food in the restaurant on property was astronomical. $12 US for 5 one inch meatballs!?! Absurd.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location to walk around town. Very clean and comfortable. Right on the water. Nice pool and bar. Staff very helpful and polite. Great value.
Cons: No beach. But no beaches to speak of anyplace in San Pedro or surrounding areas.
6.3 Good
Pros: Location was great, hotel was well maintained, staff super friendly and accommodating.
Cons: Our room was old and outdated, especially for the price. Bed was uncomfortable. Way too expensive for the amenities.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Walking distance to everything, great pool, beautiful views, nice room at a reasonable rate.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is located right outside the town center but a close walk to restaurants and dive shops. Behind the modest entrance there is a nice open area with ocean view and a nice little pool with a sufficient number of sunchairs. They also had several hammocks and sitting groups. The rooms had a good size with a large shower. The room had a refrigerator and they refilled a large pincher with drinking water every day. The staff were very helpful and kind and we had a great stay. Would definitely stay there again.
Cons: The hotell is located next to the local airport. It did not bother us since there are a limited number of flights per day and only small aircrafts.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved everything about White Sands! The condo was perfect, beautifully decorated and met our every need, including kitchen appliances! The property is exceptional. After touring the island, it's the only place I want to stay on Ambergris. The staff are all super friendly and helpful, and they helped us make the most of our time. The location is also great - not too far from town, quiet, and close to all the cool things to do. We have already recommended White Sands to our friends. AMAZING!
Cons: We loved everything, although I wouldn't complain if they expanded their menu at the tapas bar. More good food is always a plus! The drinks are great, and the setting can't be beat.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: The staff here is excellent. Rooms are very clean and comfotable. Plenty of places to lounge by the pool or ocean.
Cons: Pretty far from town, you will need a golf cart. No Iron or hairdryer in the room.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful setting and amazing rooms. Very friendly staff.
Cons: A bit odd that although they serve breakfast from 7am to 4pm you cannot get a coffee after 11am!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The food was outstanding and the staff were very helpful. We were upgraded to a huge, two-story casita with plenty of space and it was wonderful. Highly recommend!
Cons: We had to contend with very windy weather but that was not the resort's fault, obviously. We had to abandon some dive plans accordingly as it wasn't safe to go out on some days.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful location. Service was outstanding and the people were great. I'd highly recommend White Sand. Great location to the city. Bikes available to use too.
Cons: Limited menu for all meals. The food is really good but the selection is a bit weak. No worries however as there are some great places to go close by and in town.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfectly located north on the island, very quiet, clean, great pool, beautiful grounds
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly staff, very quiet and peaceful
Cons: Too far from town to walk
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful, accommodating staff. Beautiful comfortable facility. Great pool was a hit with the kids.
Cons: You need a golf cart to get to most things, and eing charged $80 for a golf cart you can rent in town for $45 is not so friendly. A couple of fairly large cockroaches in our cabana (but I suppose that’s typical for the tropics).
7.5 Good
Pros: Beautiful beach, friendly and helpful staff, nice pool and manicured gardens. It was great to have a kitchenette which we used every morning to make breakfast. Terri was super nice. We kayaked to the barrier reef and did some snorkeling which was a lot of fun. Close to secret beach for sunset, and to Akbol where they had very good food at affordable price.
Cons: Unfortunately... it was so hot!!! The weak ac would turn and off throughout the night and the party downstairs added to the irritation. After being in Belize for a week, this is the only place we got insect bites while sleeping. We also found roaches (baby ones and a big one) in our room :(
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff. Very attentive.
Cons: Great spot. Centrally located but also private and off the main drag.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were so welcoming and accommodating! As soon as we arrived, we felt very at home. This peaceful area was the ideal location to spend the New Year. We will be back. Thanks Terri and all the gang!

Overview Reviews
With a stay at Blue Tang Inn, you'll be centrally located in San Pedro, steps from Belize Barrier Reef and 5 minutes by foot from Belizean Melody Art Gallery. A roundtrip airport shuttle is complimentary (available 24 hours).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was great and arranged all of our activities. Great snorkeling and catamaran trips. The room was beautiful, clean & comfortable. Great breakfast outdoors prepared fresh. Great value. Couldn't ask for more.
Cons: Everything was perfect.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. The location of the hotel was great.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Just what we were looking for, a first line hotel a walking distance from town! The staff at the property was super nice and went out of their way to accommodate us. Roger at reception was particularly friendly and helpful. Albeit small, the swimming pool area was quite nice and was cleaned daily. Our room was fully kitted with fridge, oven, cooking pots and cutlery and was quite generous in size. Also, the internet in this place was above the Belize standard.
Cons: Breakfast is included in the rate, but it was very basic nonetheless. Also, the place is kind of expensive for what it is, but we figured despite being Belize, nothing in San Pedro is cheap.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Loved the charm of the hotel, and the friendly staff. The rooftop deck was amazing for watching the sunsets and meeting other people.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very homey, plenty of space in suite, full kitchen, good breakfast, courteous and helpful staff.
Cons: TV signal was poor, could not watch a lot of the channels.
7.0 Good
Pros: location was great
Cons: no water presure, even woke up to no water one moring, bed uncomfortable
5.5 Okay
Pros: It was close to the ferry that took us to the island, so even though the hotel offered a free taxi, one could easily walk the distance. The breakfasts were good, with lots of fruit, coffee and local specialties. The pool was small but well taken care of.
Cons: Online we found nicer hotels in San Pedro with similar pricing. From now on, I will only book rooms with booking.com when the site says “refundable.”
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location on edge of San Pedro town and right next to the Palapa Bar so we could easily walk around. We had one of the higher quality rooms on the top floor and workmanship was very good. As expected, the breakfast was fairly simple so some days we chose to have brunch at Estel's or get coffee from London Eyes just two places to the north. We rented a golf cart to go to Secret Beach and the Truck Stop. We enjoyed our snorkel trip on the hotel boat to Hol Chan and Shark-Ray Alley.
Cons: We provided the property some direct feedback on a few smaller items that could be have been a little bit better but did not significantly detract from our stay or our willingness to stay there again.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were SO helpful and friendly! They went above and beyond, always smiling. :) The pool is nice, the whole place is clean and the location is convenient. The rooftop patio is awesome for sunsets & sunrises! Waterfront.
Cons: The water pressure was not great, but that isn't their fault. The city of San Pedro was disappointing, crowded, dirty & full of aggressive peddlers.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is clean, great location, security guard and feels very safe! Very accommodating staff!
Cons: Air conditioner broke the first night but was replaced right away, the night was comped- it was addressed super well by the staff!

Pros: Great central location. Friendly staff.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: very friendly staff Loved the breakfast burrito! Liked the swings in the water. Liked the pier!
Cons: Liked the sandy area near the beach but the beach itself by the water was poor - sandbags were an eyesore. Did not like the pot holes on the road to town - terrible experience driving the cart to town. Did not like the fact that we were not furnished with bottled water in our room. Should be included with the stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The chef cooks wonderful food. I was surprised. The pool is deep enough to practice free diving in. The beach was consistently clean. The staff was SUPER friendly and VERY attentive to our needs. A great value for the price.
Cons: It is a great property but dated. Looking at the other properties with swim up bars and being barefoot resorts there were things that we wished we had at our resort. The managers should take a walk and see what the other resorts offer. Some have shaded walks with bungalows.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: 1) The staff - everyone is super friendly, supportive, and efficient. Special shot out to Pedro and Jennifer at desk, Hector, Shelby and Charlene in restaurant. 2) Location is perfect. Easy to get to downtown San Pedro and to Secret Beach. Or just stay on resort and sit on beach there. Beaches on Ambergris aren't so hot but these guys try to keep the seaweed at bay. 3) Our penthouse was great. Plenty of space for the two of us but I could imagine it would have been just as nice for another couple to join. Nice pool on terrace.
Cons: The negatives are very very minor in the grand scheme of things and in no way detract from what was an amazing stay.
7.0 Good
Pros: Accommodations were large. Pool was nice.
Cons: “Beach” was unusable because of smell from rotting seaweed.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The pool was amazing.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The suites are roomy, clean, well equipped and serviced regularly.
Cons: The food at the 0 restaurant for dinner is average. The pool food is good though
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful 3 BR villa with lots of room for family, including kitchenette, and in-room laundry. Easy access via golf cart to San Pedro, Secret Beach and local dining spots. Friendly, helpful staff (e.g., booked great tours and transport). Beautiful pool to hang out at, with relaxing setting.
Cons: Food quality was ok. Best for breakfast and lunch. Kitchen seemed overwhelmed at times with volume, so it was a bit slow.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We had an upgrade to a beachfront two bed room which was amazing. Restaurant waiting staff were really friendly and food was pretty good too. Water taxi into town was very convenient.
Cons: Reception staff were a bit hit and miss in terms of friendliness and helpfulness. Wine list was disappointing. Also the resort lacks a bit of atmosphere - no central bar area.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I enjoyed staying at Las Terrazas. We mostly cook our own food and the kitchen had all the necessary appliances. The villa was spacious, the staff extremely helpful and unobtrusive. Also the dive shop, White Sands, which had recommended Las Terrazas by the way, was well run, friendly and knowledgeable.
Cons: The beach was invaded with sargasses (there was nothing to be done about it) so one couldn't go into the water fram the beach. However we were directed to the beach on the other side of the island, a bit far, but a vwery pleasant place.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing food and amazing hotel
Cons: The beach could be better

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff is excellent, the grounds are nice, the unit interiors are a little tired, but its the Caribbean, and everything has a little rust on it. Once you get past that, lay back and relax...
Cons: Nada
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent service from the staff and property owner who were exceptionally helpful with bookings and other needs. We had 4 kids in our group and the pool was fantastic for them. The property is beautiful and very well maintained. We felt very comfortable there and were sad to leave. Walking back and forth into the busy downtown area, returning to Xanadu always felt tranquil. We couldn’t hear the numerous golf cart engines once on the property.
Cons: I think one disappointment was that there is no beach on the property - gorgeous view of the water for sure, and a roped off swimmming area at the end of the dock - but we had to go elsewhere to let the kids play in sand and walk directly into shallower water. There are accessible beaches on nearby properties and we were glad to learn that the beaches are public — as long as you don’t sit in another resort’s lounge chairs, throw a towel down at any beach and you’re fine.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Franz was very helpful with setting up local tours. He was very knowledgeable about each tour and steered us in the right direction. Melanie was very helpful with suggesting places to eat.
Cons: Beach is man made, as were all the resort beaches on the island.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, like being in a rainforest except no bugs. Super friendly staff. Great rooms.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I did some research and was looking for something away from tourist but with good service to get excursions booked. The fact that the resort aims to be eco-friendly was a plus and that it had a pool and hottub by the water was nice. The staff was accomodating and professional. the rooms were cleaned daily. The pool was cleaned daily and so was the property. It also helped that they provide a taxi to and from the ferry or the airport in san pedro at no extra cost. We also enjoyed the pier at sunset and sundown. We used the kayaks and paddle boards. Someone in our party did not know how to ride a bike, but we would have used them if she did.
Cons: The only part that I compromised on was there was not a beach where you can walk right into the ocean from the property. But we were able to walk to Ramom's village which had beach front.
7.5 Good
Pros: Service was outstanding
Cons: 3rd floor rooms we very cramped
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great staff was awesome
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Xanadu is a hidden gem. Our family did not want to leave the resort to go anywhere.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nicely located, great friendly staff. Clean facilities. Loved the beach BBQ. Great access to water equipment, nice pool and hot tub. Was great to be able to make your own meals when you wanted and if you wanted.
Cons: On site food facilities could have been valuable but grocery stores and resteraunts within minutes of hotel so not a huge deal.

Pros: Not overdeveloped and easy to get around
Cons: Mosquitos
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The view of the ocean and close to everything!
7.5 Good
Pros: What I love the most was the view from the room. It was amazing! The bed was very comfortable and the shower had plenty hot water. Staff was very kind. The place was not crowed so it's very intimate.
Cons: No breakfast available at the hotel but there are plenty places to go near by.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great. The location for me was perfect as I go fishing everyday with Hogzilla just 30 seconds walk from their dock. Lots of great fishing memories. Caye Casa keeps a very clean beach. Will return.
Cons: The only thing i could request is more freezer space to freeze fish.
7.0 Good
Pros: The view
Cons: Weedy water so swimming is iffy
10.0 Excellent
Pros: They were able to keep the small stretch of the beach in front of the hotel free of sea grass, which provided amazing view from our room and from the heated pool. Don’t be discouraged by the size of the pool. It feels absolutely amazing, so do take a dip, you won’t regret it!
Cons: The shower was a bit weak, but hey, we were on vacation, it’s okay to take things slow.
7.5 Good
Cons: Only complaint, I wish the air conditioning was not locked to go no lower than 73F. I need a bit cooler room for good sleep. No shower curtain in bathroom. But it was a roomy space and it didn’t make that much of a mess except for the counter top. It was modern and clean otherwise.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Confortable bed
Cons: We had no remote control for the air conditioning in the room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Caye Casa is perfectly located - beach views, very quiet, and just close enough to restaurants and bars that you're never too far away from the action. The staff was friendly and helpful, and our room was bright and clean. Very happy!
Cons: Nothing - our stay was really lovely.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Caye Casa was everthing we expected! Very clean, great location and very nice staff. Everything we needed was within walking distance.
Cons: We liked everything. The pool was nice for a quick dip. I brought a raft and enjoyed floating in the water right in front of Caye Casa.
6.8 Good
Pros: Decent location, very helpful and friendly staff, good value. I would probably stay here again but it does take some knowledge to get around and find transportation.
Cons: I don't think the sheets were cleaned after the first day we were there, otherwise the staff did well. also, the bath and shower supplies werent automatically replaced although they were willing to do so when asked.

8.8 Excellent
Cons: The roads within the resort are gravel and the carts travelling all hour were noisy especially as our unit was right on the road and only shutters on that side of the room. Also a bit dusty
8.8 Excellent
Cons: The bed was not comfortable, hard as a rock
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Everything you need is located on the property, and the staff is super friendly.
Cons: It’s a bit spread out, so be prepared to walk or rent a golf cart. The roads and walk ways are gravel.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous property, friendly staff
Cons: Food at the two restaurants was not good and very over priced for the taste and quality.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were well appointed and comfortable. Great WiFi all over the resort. Private beach was gorgeous. Pool area was nice and food offerings generally ok. Mostly tried to cater for our dietary needs. Liked the food huts on site. Most staff tried to be very helpful.
Cons: Towel token system is needless and a little insulting. Communication needs to be worked on between staff and a system for passing on messages. Is a little isolated from town- hotel should consider shuttle service. No house phone outside of rooms so any issue (e.g locked out) means you have to walk all the way to reception.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: I like that the location is a little far from the main downtown area. It gives me a place that I can get away and relax. I also like that if I really wanted to go into town, It only took 10 minutes by car/golf cart. The resort itself was very modern and the staff was extremely nice and helpful. Everything that you would need, the resort can provide.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderfully designed bungalows where every inch was carefully thought out. We didn’t have to use our air conditioner once because of this! Beautiful wood jalousie shutters let in the breeze while shading the interior. Windows on 3 sides of the unit allowed for cross ventilation. Screened in porch and palm trees cooled the air before entering the room.
Cons: I wish the private beach had deeper water but still beautiful!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The private beach club at the hotel makes the whole stay worth it
Cons: We booked a day trip to the blue hole through the hotel concierge and by recommendation of the hotel since they use the company Amigos del Mar for the tours they offer, and the whole trip was really unpleasant, the crew was really rude during the whole day making us feel really uncomfortable and even unsafe, they were not providing the things they were supposed to and their behavior was really rude and inappropriate, we don’t recommend to use this company at all, and we expected more from the recommendations of the hotel since they are getting paid for organizing this tours as well.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved everything. The cottage was beautiful and cozy, the grounds are beautiful and had numerous amenities. I absolutely adored the yoga class, so much that I joined the class they had later in the day to make sure I got more time for rejuvenating. We loved the pool and the bar. The food was delicious. The private beach was beautiful, the bar and food there were wonderful as was the 360 view with hammocks at the top of the main building housing the bar and kitchen. Everything was amazing.
Cons: The sushi restaurant was not as amazing as the rest of the food available at the Verandah. And at the Rum and Bean there was a staff member preparing our coffees that appeared ill with a cold and had numerous coughing fits while preparing our drinks, coughing in to her hands or over our open and being prepared coffees. That was pretty discouraging and I honestly just threw my coffee away but it was an entirely isolated incident that doesn’t really shade the rest of my wonderful experiences too greatly.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great food, beautiful location and amazing private beach. Can't wait to go back.
9.3 Excellent
Cons: The paint in the room is not totally clean and can do the cleanest better

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Prior to our stay, the SunBreeze Suites staff were very communicative and informative via email whenever I had any inquiries. They booked our cave tubing and Xunantunich tours for us so we did not have to worry about logistics. During our stay, they were very helpful with getting us a golf cart rental and advising us on how to get around San Pedro as well as Caye Caulker. The one-bedroom suite was a great value for money and it was very clean. I would definitely stay here again.
Cons: Some of the staff at the Jambel Restaurant were not as friendly.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Spotless & excellently maintained. Conveniently located in the center of everything.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The facility was absolutely great; it was immaculately clean, well presented and really well furnished. The location was great too, right on the beach and just on the edge of town. The staff were friendly and helpful and the bar/restaurant area was also spotless. Fitz and his team provided really great food and were pleasant at all times. This is a fantastic place.
Cons: The pool is pretty small, but still big enough for a dip and to be fair, the sea is less than 100 yds away. Otherwise, nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff. Nice lean rooms. Best ceviche ever.
Cons: Beach area with no bulkhead.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Sunbreeze Suites were amazing! I was traveling abroad alone and was a little apprehensive about the trip. The staff made me feel safe and welcome. Very helpful in booking adventures and recommendation on meals and places to visit. The location was perfect! Right in town, I was able to walk everywhere I wanted to go. Room was like a one bedroom apartment. Plenty of space and a full kitchen. Sunbreeze definitely exceeded my expectations! Will definitely be returning to Belize and will stay here.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location, staff very friendly and told us lots of things to do, places to go. Really had a great time.
Cons: No pots or pans in the kitchen. Had to eat out every day. But, the food all around is delicious.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Amazingly friendly and helpful staff, very clean rooms and interior, great location and view. Couldn't be more pleased with choosing Sunbreeze Suites.
Cons: Everything was perfect except for the coconut trees blocking most of the view from our ocean front suite. I would recommend requesting the x01 or x02 rooms if you book ocean front suite.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Eggs, meat, fruit
Cons: All was good
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location, location. I have a great view The property is secure.
7.5 Good
Cons: The fact that they dont offer the shuttle service from and to the airport

9.5 Excellent
Cons: Food that was ordered from the restaurant was very very slow.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was spacious and clean and comfortable
Cons: It was far away from the center and not many options for food
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff is very pleasant, accommodating and knowledgeable. They were always accessible and truly will go above and beyond to make your stay pleasurable! The unit was very well equipped to my surprise! We had fantastic views of the property hub aka pool/bar and recreation areas as well as the pier. Evening beach walks were very nice which made for a very romantic place to stay. The town was full of life and culture. Definitely need a golf cart to travel to and from with ease. The staff provide lots of guidance to help you explore the island if that's your thing to do! Secret Beach is a must see adventure!
Cons: The furnishings were a little outdated. It was hard to cuddle on the sofa. The master bedroom lacked a king size bed and the queen bed seemed kind of small. No dish washer is available in the unit but they will wash the dishes for you and put them away daily which is really fantastic! The beach is not kid friendly so be mindful that it's very rocky in places. Unpaved and poorly lit roads in some areas were hard to navigate which caused some limitations. Just plan accordingly.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: On the northern end of Ambergris Caye, the staff is incredibly accommodating. The spacious rooms are great for families. The location right on the beach can’t be beat and the water taxi to/from San Pedro stops right at their dock.
Cons: There is no real restaurant at the property, but it’s not a big deal since there are several restaurants right across the street.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great pool, nice dock, and beautiful landscaping.
Cons: The beds were a little rough...
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The restaurant at the sister property Coco Beach was really nice. We LOVED the bar at Coco Beach and the staff there was super friendly, it is walking distance and easy to access. Belizean Shores did not have a very large selection for food, so we ate at Coco Beach. Belizean Shores also did not have a dock or Spa, so we had to walk to Coco Beach for all our excursions. We attempted to get a massage at Coco Beach and that was a disaster! The front office staff at Belizean Shores sent us to front desk at Coco Beach and then we were sent to the gazebo where the staff looked confused as to why we were there and sent us back to the front desk. At that point we had already decided to get a massage elsewhere and went over to the Grand Caribe by golf cart and that was a wise choice. Overall, the property is nice and the staff is too, it felt safe and the rooms were large.
Cons: The customer service could have been better and the rooms could have used an update however, we knew this going into the trip. There was construction going on next door for the Wyndham Grand and it was noisy during the day.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Pool was amazing. Staff were so friendly. Location was good, great view from building 10. Spacious and well kept room. Easy cart rental, detailed our ride every couple days :)
Cons: Beds were a bit uncomfortable. Light in bedroom flickered off and on constantly. Internet did not work in room most of the week. Some drainage issues in bathroom. Shuttle fee is pretty steep. Hard to keep sand out of rooms- maybe need a tap at each building to wash feet off?
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It’s eclectic. No restaurant on the property...so, you either rent a golf cart....and drive up-or-down the road...or you cross the street...to the little place there....which is ACTUALLY pretty good! This is NOT your standard, canned resort property....it’s quirky....but, mostly in a fun sort-of way. Far enough from town to be “out of town”.....but close enough to get there....with a try. Staff was local and cool. We had a room , with a loft, which was quite cool...as I was traveling with two teenagers. Pool was fun....very strange, but entertaining design.
Cons: Beach is dread.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great stay good value for the price ocean front was worth the upgrade. Sister resort Coco Beach appeared a lot newer of a facilty.....staff was great.....no complaints here
Cons: Most everything was good, very accommodating......older facility than appears on website and other than a few maintenance issues that were fixed we had a great stay.....dont come expecting perfect beaches and if you wander off you will surely see trashy areas but we really wonder what another 10 years will do for Belize.....
7.4 Good
Pros: The staff is very friendly and helpful. The grounds are kept up nicely. The location is good. Far enough from the town, but easy enough to get to town. The pool and bar is on the premises. The views are good and they have an excursion office on site which makes it easy. The reef with use of their free kayaks make it easy to get to the reef and snorkel. It is a good value for the price,
Cons: The units inside are showing its age and kitchen facilities are sometimes not complete or not working. The beds are somewhat comfortable, but need newer mattresses instead of a memory foam topper. There is no onsite restaurant, but many near by which helps.
7.5 Good
Cons: That it wasn’t all inclusive.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is on the ocean and we woke up to the most beautiful view each day. The staff members were very gracious and accommodating. It was very convenient to get to San Pedro. If we went back to Belize we would definitely stay at Belizean Shores again.
Cons: No. We liked everything.

Featured amenities include a computer station, dry cleaning/laundry services, and multilingual staff. A roundtrip airport shuttle is complimentary (available 24 hours).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The views, room, staff, food, drinks were all first class and we can’t wait to come back. Oh, did I mention the drinks?
Cons: Not much to say here. The only thing that might have been better was the sea weed problem, but that’s not their fault. The crew worked tirelessly to keep it cleaned up, unfortunately, every morning it was back worse than the day before.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a small intimate resort of 17 rooms. The entire staff (Neilea, Mo, Ivan, Marco, Marcelo, Isadora, Andrea, plus more) were all kind and caring. It's clear they enjoy their role and they took excellent care of us. The dive shop on property, Action Diver's Adventures with Roberto, "Mr Chocolate", and Marco did an excellent job of getting us re-certified and out to enjoy 5 excellent dives in and outside of the reef. We enjoyed the food at the restaurant, including the nightly dinner specials.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Quiet spot on the island about 4 miles north of San Pedro, this place is great if you want to stay in the hotel and enjoy beach, reef... Next external restaurant is a 20 min walk along the beach and great for lunch. We stayed in the Upper Mansion offering one terrace on both sides so you can choose sun/shade. Saw some nice birds directly from the terrace. Mexican Rock snorkeling reserve is a 5 min boat trip only. Remember, you are on the lagoon side and sea gras accumulates on the beach every day. The hotel tries to clean but can never fully succeed. Some properties left and right are not used, therefore not cleaned. The amount of plastic you find in these areas should really make us think about the way we live. Nature does not throw plastics in the water, it is us.
Cons: If they could provide a ladder at the dock offering direct access to a bit deeper water, swimming might be even more easy.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The resort villas surrounded the pool and overlooked the beach. The staff and the guests made it feel like a quaint village. The service was excellent and friendly. We really enjoyed sitting around the pool or bar and talking to some very amazing guests. The resort is laid back. It is easy to enjoy lounging at the pool or sitting on a chair on the beach.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was excellent and did everything to make sure we had an amazing experience. They made me feel extra special as it was my birthday and had a dinner on the beach for us and plates that said happy birthday. They could not have been more helpful and hospitable!
Cons: nothing.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: My husband and I loved our stay at Portofino. The journey to get to the resort was organized and they had planned everything out conveniently despite our multiple delays in Miami. The staff remembered our names, were very polite and friendly, and went out of their way to help make our stay better. We went to the restaurant to eat not realizing they were closing and Marcello and the restaurant staff made sure we ordered what we wanted despite them needing to catch their water taxi home. Mo, Luis and Daniella were all wonderful. We both decided that we would like to go back ASAP. Also we really loved the orange juice with breakfast
Cons: The potholes were insane on the road outside of the resort. Some extra lighting in the public roads would be nice as well
9.5 Excellent
Pros: very relaxed and quiet location. pick up with boat shuttle..20 min from san pedro high level restaurant - expensive and very good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: cute flower petals on the bed, the super friendly and amazing and helpful staff, the little rolled washcloth after arriving at the dock, how Moe was there to pick us up from the water taxi, soft bedding, how everyone always made sure we were back safe from daily travels, how they swept the sand from our room and porch when we were gone, the fries at the restaurant, the free bikes, the conditioner provided in the shower.
Cons: the directions we received on how to bike into town. Just tell people to take a hard right when you reach a T, then an immediate left when you see the sign for secret beach. everything else was PERFECT.
7.5 Good
Pros: The resort is smaller and which gives an added feeling of privacy. The staff are very attentive and helpful. The food ‘ drinks were excellent all throughout the day. The Cabanas/Cabañas were nice; cozy living quarters.
Cons: The beach always had a significant amount of kelp (seaweed) wash ashore discouraging us from going in the water. This, however, I do understand is beyond the resort’s control. In fact, they had staff dedicated to remove it.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Staff was amazing. Very quiet and secluded. Reasonably priced
Cons: Beaches were seaweedy. The staff tried to keep up. Also the road to and from was awful (potholes) and lenghty.

Pros: The people were friendly, air conditioned and privacy curtains on bunk beds.
Cons: Shower pressure wasn't great.

Pros: The privat dock is really nice and the restaurant very delicious! It even gave us silverwear and bowls to eat our own breakfast. Also they have a microwave and a fridge which are free to use for the guests. The location is fabulous! Right at the beach and the A/C in the dorms was pretty cool too.
Cons: They don't have a kitchen.
5.5 Okay
Cons: No a/c in the room.

Pros: Close to bars/restaurants. Very clean and comfortable.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Yeah this place is great! We stayed in the private room with shared bathroom and the (12 person) dorm rooms. The bathrooms are clean, the beds are comfortable and the AC works well! The Wi-Fi is also strong and the staff is friendly. The area also offers promotions on foods and drinks during the week which are budget-friendly. There's yoga and free water refills. Location is prime :)

Pros: The staff greeted us with smiles and were very courteous of our long day. They allowed us to put our bags down, and told us they would be safe. We believed them as if they were our friends, I guess that's the vibe they gave off. The bartender didn't rob me when I tried paying American currency. The beds were super comfortable but the top bunks are for athletes only. The beach is literally in your bar. Great views. Awesome snorkeling right off the docks. Everything seems to be yours for the taking. No one told us we were where we shouldn't be, and we were obnoxiously every where. Don't swim past the socks, there's nothing to see and you'll die on the highway of boats. Dont get me wrong, there's a boat maybe every 2 minutes, but when your heads down.... If you're looking to save a buck, stay at the Snd Bar and walk into any of the expensive resorts and hotel bars you want. You can access all of them. Side note, a lot of the bars order food from sandbar!!!! I laughed when one of the workers from my hostel delivered my pizza to the bar down the street. The AC only turns on 9-9 but that climates you to the Caribbean weather which is so important when walking and biking the beaches. Don't pay more than 40 for a golf cart... Don't get one for more than a day. All you need is a bike and you'll be breaking speed limits, literally. Sorry golf art companies. you can reach most places via bike except the secret beach... It's a secret so you'll have to ask a local snitch. Everyone offers drugs at every corner. Not to kids that I saw, but to me, every f'ing corner, not at the hostel, this is downtown (lol, I'm trying to write a good review). The only way to get them to stop is to tell them you're a U.S. Cop. Worked for me anyways. Good luck and let go! You're on Vaca Cj
Cons: Everything I didn't like is a common trait in Belize. Sand bar seemed to me by get away from most of it though. They took care of their dogs.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was super friendly and informative. We stayed in co-ed dorms and had a small locker with each bunk (bring your own lock) and each bunk had it's own set of curtains providing some privacy. The a/c in the dorm was great and I felt safe and comfortable. The place is beautiful and has easy access for yoga classes and just beautiful spots for yoga in general.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic social environment around the bar. Good food and drinks. Really friendly helpful staff. Location perfect
Cons: Private room bathrooms are out in the corridor
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was my favorite place that I stayed during my whole trip to Belize! The room was adorable and clean, the staff was SUPER awesome and friendly too! They had a security guard at night so my mom and I felt safe! Plus the food and drinks were delicious so we barely left the property! And very close to where most of the snorkeling excursions leave from. :)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff was amazing. So friendly and supporting. I loved the vibe and the location right at the beach. Also the bed was really comfy.
Cons: As it was a bathroom for around 25 people, it was quite dirty at times.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location on the beach with a refreshing pool, relaxing hammocks, small pool bar, and near the town.
Cons: Could be a little noisy in the evening.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Right across the road from the beach; quiet small resort
Cons: I really liked the property but had to kill two huge cockroaches which kinda grossed me out.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location is a bit out of the main town, but we like being out of the hustle and bustle in most places. But easy walking distance made the location spot on for us. Good bars / restaurants close by.
Cons: Staff were pretty average, much room for improvement, but not a huge impact on our stay.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location and exceptionally comfy bed
Cons: We were asked to check out a day early and had to prove we’d booked another night.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We absolutely loved our stay at the Ocean Tide. Immediately upon arrival, we found the staff extremely helpful and attentive. They were able to assist us with any needs that we had. The location of the hotel itself is absolutely perfect. It’s central in the city, but to the side enough where it doesn’t feel overwhelming. The view on the water is absolutely stunning. The amount of restaurants and bars around is perfect. The room itself was exactly what we wanted. We stayed in the Blue Hole, which had a lovely third floor room. The air conditioning was excellent and the shower provided hot water. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. Housekeeping did a great job at fixing our room every day as we well. The pool was very well managed and we appreciated the different types of chairs to relax in.
Cons: Our only criticism was we wish we knew about the construction next to the hotel prior to booking. While the construction is absolutely not the hotel’s fault, it does go on all day, which means no sleeping in, and definitely not a relaxing lay by the pool situation. That being said, we would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean room friendly staff and great view of bay. Easy access to Corozal but not right in it so was quiet. Let us use their bicycles to make a trip into town.
Cons: Pool was not usable and was hot enough we would have loved to have a pool to use. The coffee maker in our room did not work.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff was great, location is FANTASTIC, views, hospitality.
Cons: Room was a little dated, but very minor issue.
7.5 Good
Pros: The morning coffee was delicious! Great location - Ocean front with lots of restaurants and bars around. Safe was included in the room, which we enjoyed. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They arranged a complimentary pick up at the airport for us. When we lost our safe key we messaged them on WhatsApp. They sent someone right away to open the safe for us even though it was after office hours.
Cons: There was a lot of construction happening right beside the hotel and the noise would wake me up quite early. It’s not that big a deal but it would’ve been nice to know in advance - maybe even have a discounted price during the construction. The price was a little high for the actual condition of the room, which was very basic, but considering the great location of the hotel I could see why it’s priced as such.

7.0 Good
Pros: the View was amazing
Cons: I was locked out of my room due to key and lock issues the door had. The security guard had to break in my room to get me in.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location near diving shop and close to shopping. Staff were extremely friendly. Beds were very good.
Cons: Location near houses and barking dog was extremely close and barked all night. Air conditioning was just ok. No real issues except for very annoying dogs that just would not shut up.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Air conditioner not strong enough Neighbors Large Dogs barking all night.
6.8 Good
Pros: Good location within walking distance to restaurants and scuba dive shop and pier
Cons: No pool. No real beach. Dog barking all night. Night club loud music till late at night. Ants in the room. Killed a large water roach in room. A/C took some adjusting to figure out how to get room cool. Staff could have easily done this.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff was outstanding and extremely helpful. The hotel is conveniently located to dozens of key restaurants and is a one-two minute walk from the San Pedro Belize Express. The front desk was super helpful in booking golf carts for us (Secret Beach) as well as a glass bottom boat/snorkeling excursion. The staff all deserve 10 stars (and big raises). The kitchens and balconies in both rooms were also fantastic amenities.
Cons: I wish the hotel had a pool for the kids. Otherwise it was perfect for our needs. The dogs are annoying, but didn't really keep me or my family up.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice, king sized memory foam bed. Beautiful Room/Balcony view.
Cons: Being right on the beach, there is some noise.
7.0 Good
Pros: The hotel’s staff were wonderful. They are the reason I did not give this hotel a lesser rating in each category.
Cons: Noise from the dogs barking literally feet from my door and the bar next door’s live band on Saturday night.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was great. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The bed in the room was very comfortable and it was nice to have a kitchen.
Cons: I thought the water in front would be swimmable. Boats, marine gas station, and seagrass prevented me from getting in.

5.5 Okay
Pros: Pools
Cons: Restaurant was horrible.. potato was not cooked served raw food to us too expensive
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The restaurant on the facility was good, but service was extremely slow. Front desk staff was super nice/friendly. Big pool and lots of different pool options (3 on the property), the beach is great for what it is--Belize is known for seaweed issues, but you can jump in from the dock if you want. There's a cute slide there for kids, kayaks and SUP were included in price. You pay for bicycles, golf carts (which is your only way really away from the resort), and the grocery store on site is very limited.
Cons: You pay for everything. Don't expect all inclusive and you pay resort prices. I wish there were more restaurants in walking distance. We waited forever for mixed drinks from the bar to the restaurant and they were dead slow so pack your patience.
7.5 Good
Pros: Staff wonderful, very helpful and cheerful.
Cons: Dinner and breakfast way over price.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Service was great, our room was always taken care of, location was good
Cons: The pool bar was barely open and the beach was not as welcoming due to the sorghum? (Not the hotels fault! They did a great job trying to keep up with it.)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The inside of our condo was beautiful. Our kids felt like they were staying in a palace. Comfortable beds and plenty of air conditioning and a humidifier, which we didn’t use but would have made things better. We had a washer and dryer as well which was nice to get cleaned up before the trip home.
Cons: The tub on the balcony didn’t heat and the jets were very weak so we didn’t use it. The outside of the property looked unimpressive and run down, but the rooms were great. It would have been nice to have something to have a basin of water outside the room to clean the sand off. Some rooms had this. We found a cleaning bucket that did the trick.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked the fact that the room I had was right on the beach. The food at the restaurant and drinks at the bar were great.
Cons: The water in the room was not drinkable. We had to purchase water in order to make coffee in the room or have a drink of water.
7.0 Good
Pros: Very nice and friendly staff.
Cons: Our room should have included free complementary breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a cabana on the beach that was just perfect. Great views to beach and close to pools. The staff were very helpful as well.
Cons: The casino was a bit smoky but we didn’t hang out there much anyway.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the location on the beach and the villa.
Cons: The back of the resort could use some detail work.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our condo was perfect! Super comfortable and gorgeous views! The staff was also super helpful and friendly. They helped us organize a snorkel trip as well as golf cart rental.
Cons: We really had no housekeeping services. It wasn’t a big deal, as we are pretty tidy. The only issue was the trash.
