The suite with the Fuji view is nice. We can stare at the view for the whole day. Breakfast was a wide spread and super delicious. Overall was a pleasant experience and all staffs were nice and friendly.
Served dinner was fully booked which was very sad. There isn't any instruction on how to wear the Japanese robe and rules and regulations for going to the bath in the room. Only down side is that check in time is 3pm and check out time is 10am which is pretty restrictive.
I liked the hotel facilities especially the onsens and lobby area. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
I only stayed in a room that matched my budget so the higher priced rooms may have been better quality. However the bed sheet was thin and you could see the stains on the mattress protector which was off putting. The bed wasn't comfortable and the room was very dated. It was also noisy as I could here guests in the hallway as well as bathroom fans from adjoining rooms and running water. Also the dinner was fully booked so there was no opportunity to eat on site.
There are indoor and outdoor hot springs.
The hotel is quite old and 15mins walk to train station.
Hotel is well located. The staff was very nice and friendly. The baths are great, I preferred the outside ones, a bit cooler. There is also a large place to enjoy drinks, tea etc... on the ground floor.
We got the cheap room compared to all the fantastic rooms they have. Still, the paint was scratched in many places, the paint was very dark too, it was not quiet because we were just above the generators for the AC - very loud during the night. I also found the bathroom very tiny and the step made it dangerous to exit.
Hotel Japanese bath was great
The room is very old. The blanket cover doesn’t even cover the whole blanket. The VERY high price should suffice for more than that
With a stay at Ooike Hotel in Fujikawaguchiko, you'll be steps from Lake Kawaguchi and a 3-minute drive from Fuji-Q Highland. Free self parking is available onsite.
