Pros: It is located within 5 minutes of the park entrance. I stayed here yrs ago. It has been updated. The one thing missing was grills to use. The views are great and walking distance to restaurants, bars, shops. Price wise, it is a bit expensive, but so is everything else ,due to it's location.

The historic Roosevelt Arch and north park entrance is only a mile away, and downtown Gardiner restaurants and shops are also nearby. Located off Highway 89, you will be minutes from hiking, fly fishing, whitewater rafting, and more exciting outdoor activities along the Yellowstone River.
7.5 Good
Pros: How close it was to the entrance
Cons: Bugs on the shower ceiling
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good location close to the Yellowstone entrance, nice breakfast, convenient parking, good WiFi service, spacious room
Cons: Sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable to the point that we actually took the mattress out and slept on the floor. The apartment was for 4 people therefore all the beds (including sofa bed) should be comfortable and in good shape. This was very disappointing.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was good for us. The staff was great.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good complimentary breakfast, very spacious room and kitchen - great location for a trip to Yellowstone NP
9.6 Excellent

Cons: None.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Helpful staff
Cons: Breakfast room very small when busy would be useful to have more space
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Uncomfortable bed and small pillows. Only complaint
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great value for money, large bedrooms, great location and fabulous views from fourth and third floors of Yellowstone Park mountains. Its current owner and Manager, Joelyn, are both doing a great job implementing ecofriendly policies with regard to plastic and other aspects of daily operations. Highly recommended.
Cons: Great hotel with good location and great value for money.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Kitchenette, and separate room, was a nice feature.
Cons: The one and only air conditioner was I the separate bedroom, didn’t cool the whole unit. It was hot so we had to open the window which is on the common balcony leading to all the rooms, it was noisy and it took away the privacy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is pricey, but being so close to Yellowstone means it's definitely worth it. The hotel itself is nice, I got a huge "room" with kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom. The breakfast was great as well and it's located really close to "downtown" Gardiner.
Cons: Nothing really.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was great! The location was very good. Very close to the north entrance of Yellowstone.

5.8 Okay
Pros: Close to the park, the Antler Bar is perfect and the staff is amazing. It is clean and close to the park. You can wash your clothes in the laundry for 2 bugs.
Cons: The mattress is a mess, my back did hurt every morning and after departure I remember the bed for some days longer. The toilet seat is too low, feet and leg fall asleep, not nice experience. The room was quite expensive compared to what we have got. (290 per night). It was pretty loud, and this in the beautiful silent landscape of Yellowstone. Sleeping with open window was not possible, the building is clairaudient, when you have hotel guests that don’t care about other people (and nowadays there are unfortunately many selfish people) you hear each footstep and of course running is s worse, not to talk about crying children. You can follow the complete dialogue until they fall (hopefully) asleep. Unfortunately I cannot add the video of the sound with open window. The breakfast is very simple, would have been cheaper if we could get the 15 bugs per person (thats what I understand is counted for the breakfast) off our hotel price.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: All the stuffed animals hanging on wall
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent rooms, fit comfortably 2 adults and 2 grown-up teenagers. Large, comfortable beds and pillows. Quiet a/c. Great facilities and on-site Restaurant, which had excellent beers on draught to boot. Delicious breakfast and coffee.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The restaurant was terrible the bicycles were so great part of my family’s stay there. Also the ice cream in the afternoon was areal plus!!
Cons: Restaurant was terrible for breakfast
9.4 Excellent
Pros: It is a very nice place. Nothing wrong and no complaints other than it is overpriced. I have stayed at many LaQuintas which are just as nice and much cheaper.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Good selection for a self-serve hot breakfast. Convenient and quick. Enjoyed the decor in the lobby/bar/breakfast area. Superbly helpful front desk staff. Game room was a pleasant surprise.
Cons: Cost was out of sight, but maybe that's just the in-season price in this area.
4.6 Okay
Pros: Breakfast options were good. Location convenient to Park.
Cons: Price of the room. Cleanliness is questionable as there was hair in the bathtub drain.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It was great to have breakfast every morning - very convenient when we we're getting an early start. Location is perfect can walk to some restaurants and shops, or it's a short drive to other places and the park entrance.
7.5 Good
Cons: Most expensive hotel in a 5 day trip. I get it, location location location (right outside of Yellowstone) but if the hotels we stayed in that week, it was the most expensive and had the least features.
7.1 Good
Pros: Clean rooms, nice staff, easy parking and access
Cons: Very expensive for a relatively basic hotel (rate of $230 pre tax). Slightly old fashioned interiors.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location couldn't be better and staff was friendly and prompt when we needed a crib!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice clean hotel.
Cowboy's Lodge - Gardiner - Building

8.2 Excellent (93 reviews)
C$ 234+
Overview Reviews
A stay at Cowboy's Lodge places you in the heart of Gardiner, within a 15-minute walk of Yellowstone National Park North Entrance and Roosevelt Arch. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
6.7 Good
Pros: The 3 Bedrooms and the living room were all comfortable. Location was convenient to several restaurants and Yellowstone NP
Cons: Overall, it was a comfortable place and would get a better review with some attention to the cleaning. The kitchen is in desperate need of a supply upgrade. We had 6 people with only 3 forks, 4 spoons, 4 butter knives. No kitchen towels or wash cloths. There were a few plates, no drinking glasses and only 4 coffee cups and 3 wine glasses. We were extremely disappointed that several of the items listed here were actually put into the cupboards dirty and we had to wash them before use - the cutlery seriously had food on them. Also, the carpets need a serious cleaning or to be removed. The smoke detectors repeatedly went off. Victor (the property manager) was very quick to respond and we appreciated that. However, the problem continued at various times through the next couple of nights. We also heard them go off in the apartment next to ours so it wasn’t just our place.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Large clean room with shared full kitchen Highly recommend it as a base to explore Yellowstone National Park
Cons: The room is located on the second floor with no elevator
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean, spacious and comfortable, there was dedicated free parking and the dinner we had at the attached grill was excellent with great service. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were clean. Cute Cowboy themed decor. The bathroom was small with not much room for our toiletries, but plenty space in the room itself so more than adequate for a short stay. There was no breakfast but the room actually was attached to a shared kitchen/living space so you could’ve made your own or it’s likely the grill served breakfast. We had to leave early so we grabbed a delicious breakfast to go just down the road at the Wild Flour Cafe in Emigrant, MT.
Cons: No big issues for us. The blind on one window didn’t work which let in lots of early morning light but we wanted to leave early anyway and the Internet only TV (no normal network or cable) might be a problem for some, but again, we just watched a movie and there was a better selection for that than cable/network.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was so spacious. After travelling all day, we were thrilled to be able to relax in such a comfortable environment. The beds were amazingly comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked, and there was plenty of coffee. The kids loved the Apple TV.
Cons: Bathroom was s a little small (but very clean and nice).
6.3 Good
Pros: Access to kitchenette,
Cons: Given loft room above bar accessable only by stairs was not informed of this at time of booking. If I had been traveling with a physically challenged person, we would not have been able to access the room. Also no maid service.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Staff was great, good location. Would stay here again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Big room with all you need, close to everything. Clean, comfortable, friendly staff.
Cons: The only negative was the TV. Had to have someone come and show us how to work and get to channels. Being an older couple we are not up on all the new technology.
7.5 Good
Pros: Nice and very cleen
Cons: I thought the price was too high
7.5 Good
Pros: Superb location for north Yellowstone entrance. Cowboys lodge was easy to find and the staff were really friendly. We had the loft room above the restaurant and shared a kitchen with the other bedroom. Kitchen was well equipped with coffee and tea and also a fridge, oven and microwave. I found the bed a little uncomfortable - it was too hard for me but some may like that. We had a fan above the bed and air con but this was really noisy so we had to switch it off. Great value food in the restaurant and they were very accommodating as we didn’t have a reservation but managed to fit us in as we had arrived late from a very long journey.
Cons: Poor lighting in the bedroom (due to the low energy bulbs I guess) and the bar opposite on the river was noisy until 2am so bring earplugs if that is a concern!

4.0 Okay
Cons: The hotel is overpriced for what you get. Not worth the money.
7.4 Good
Pros: The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, the microwave and refrigerator worked. The location is great: near the park and the river runs nearby.
Cons: Granted that our stay was in the last week of August and in the year of the eclipse, $300 is still a lot for a second floor room in a hotel without an elevator.
3.4 Mediocre
Pros: The location was good.
Cons: The hotel was way over priced. We were given a handicapped room on the end next to the stairs. It was very noisy and it sounded like the people above us were clomping around in ski boots and when they used the bathroom it was really loud in our room.
8.0 Excellent
Cons: Location is too good
7.4 Good
Pros: The gal working the front desk when I checked in was awesome! The breakfast is also a huge perk.
Cons: The housekeeping staff attempted to enter my room when I had the Do Not Disturb sign hanging on my door on two separate occasions. I've never been so grateful for a chain lock, as I had been changing during one of these incidents. Being a young female traveling solo for the first portion of hotel stay, this made me extremely uncomfortable. After the second incident, they took the Do Not Disturb sign from my door so I had nothing to mark when I did not want my room entered and/or cleaned. My travel companion arrived shortly thereafter so this strange scenario became much less bothersome, since I was no longer alone. I travel alone quite a bit and have never had this issue at any other hotel.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, friendly, somewhat updated Next door restaurant (free breakfast) was very good for dinner as well.
Cons: Heating in room was noisy and came on and off all night. A bit dated but recent upgrades were appreciated. Motel - please note that many of the rooms have direct access from outside
6.0 Good
Pros: Room was clean and nice
Cons: Not worth the price
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: The room I got is different with the one I reserved on booking.com , and I can't see any room pictures from booking.com website when I arrived in this hotel , looks the hotel stuff removed all pictures from room descriptions, I don't know why. I suspected they remove my room and give other people to make more money, otherwise I can't get the reason why they removed all room pictures on the booking webpage. Then they may say that the room I reserved is the cheapest one. And the stuff is not friendly, they refuse to change the room to the one I booked
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was nice and the guides were great.Ron our winter coach tour guide did a great job looking after everything and everyone.we met several other guides in training who were also knowledgeable and friendly on our trip.We stayed a extra day and added another tour because we had so much fun.Thank You Ron for the good job !
Cons: I was dissatisfied with the restaurant not being open at the time we were told to be there at 6:30 am.we were to meet in the lobby at 7:30 am to meet the guide for the Yellowstone tour. Both days the restaurant didn't open until 7 am which leaves only 30 minutes to feed all the motel guests going on all the tours. That was a sore spot with many of the guest who showed up at 6:30 am in the 17 degree temperatures outside waiting. The gentleman who opens just said no one tell him when to open that he is in charge of the kitchen and he is the one who sets the opening time! Maybe that would be nice to tell the front desk so the customers can get extra sleep and not be stressed out. The food was OK nothing special, the servers were nice and did there job well.thank goodness for them they salvaged the experience.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Flexible check-in time. Friendly staff. Office equipments. Spa.
Cons: Laundry room Dryer filter dirty. Pool water cold.

6.3 Good
Pros: Clean with comfortable bed.
Cons: Very narrow stairs to second floor tiny room. Light bulb out above vanity. Notified room service but was never replaced. AC worked for about 2 hours and froze up and never worked again. Discovered late at night so no fix. Very expensive for what we got. Tiny room with no place to put luggage. No view. Noisy neighbors (other two rooms on same floor). Street parking. Got there early so found one close to inn. Microwave and coffee maker so high up impossible to use unless you stood on a chair.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The bathroom was tiny but cute. The room has slanted room so would be hard if you were tall. But overall it was an adorable place and my door had an elk painted on it and was very cool.

Cons: Dirty duvet cover/linens.

Cons: No complaints
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Very close (literally yards) from the North Entrance to Yellowstone National Park. Good WiFi, clean, everything worked.
