We stayed over on way to Northumberland after spending the day at the Great North Run. Very convenient for A1. Good evening meal and friendly staff
Love the place , friendly , clean , comfy
The room , food and location
Staff very helpful and friendly. Everyone from reception to breakfast and evening meal.
A little dated but it is an econamy venue.
The food was excellent at the Ravensworth, for the lunch time menu, and the fine choice of lagers on offer as well. Service was very good, the staff very accommodating also. The surrounding area the hotel is based is very quiet, and would require taxi's or a car to go out from there.
The bar area didn't have a television or show any sport in there. On the night I stayed, there was an important football match taking place, and rather than down load an app in order to watch it, it would have made a completely better experience if they had a television in the bar area. The choice of food was OK, although I did notice that a couple before me ordered 2 coffees, then I ordered the special of the day for my evening meal (a gourmet burger, chips and a drink), my food arrived before the other couples coffee, this would suggest that the burger was already prepared which was a little off putting. The rooms are looking a little tired, and would benefit from a re-vamp and decorating.
The staff were execlent, very help and friendly Food was good and very well priced Room was cleAn and beds were comfortable
No hot water for 2 of the days
