10.0 Excellent
Pros: There was 5 of us that stayed in the big bu bungalow.. we all agreed that our stay was perfect in every way!!!
5.5 Okay
Pros: The service
Cons: Air conditioner,doors seal
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were basic but comfortable with a view of the ocean from our balcony. The staff was attentive, kind and the breakfast full of fruit, yogurt, eggs of the day and sweet or savory bread. very relaxing!
Cons: Loved it all. Not fancy but perfect for a week or so.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: The free breakfast part
Cons: The whole stay here was a nightmare bad place not worth even looking
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was fair. Staff friendly.
Cons: Menu not varied enough at breakfast. Our unit had a kitchen, but the cooking materials were inadequate. i.e. pots, pans and utensils.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We really enjoyed watching the sunset from our room and listening to the sounds of the waves. The hot mexican breakfast was very nice with yogurt and cereal as an option or as well. The bed was very comfortable but the bedding could use an update. Its a small resort with a lovely pool that has sun most of the day. Victor was very helpful with hotel needs and general inquiries about the area.
Cons: The bedding could be updated..thread worn duvet and dated furnishings. You do need to bring a beach towel as they only provide pool towels.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lots of space, comfortable, clean. Victor lives on site and is an excellent host who strives to please. Two very nice pools. Tasty breakfast each day with lots of fresh fruit. Great spot on the beach...fabulous views.
Cons: There is nothing to dislike.
7.0 Good
Pros: We loved the view and the building complex
Cons: The building could use major cleanup and some repairs
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff were awesome and so friendly and cheerful! Victor and Idea were excellent front desks people. The building is lovely and spacious.
Cons: The only drawback is the poor condition of the bed and bath linens. Our sheets had holes in them and the towels were frayed and holey.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I liked the property. Close to the beach which is quieter than closer to the city. Fewer vendors at this end of the beach .Able to walk to La Penita, the next town. Adult pool available. They provided chairs and umbrellas for the beach. The gardens were lovely and I so enjoyed watching the birds from our patio. We faced the pool but it was still far enough away to feel quite private. The breakfast was 1 main Mexican dish and also yogurt, cereal and lovely fresh fruit. There was also bread and cinnamon buns or cake. Cofffee and juice too! Coffee was set out at 7:30 am so you could have a coffee before breakfast as well. I really appreciated that. The poosl were both lovely and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Important numbers like taxis were listed and they would call for you as well. There is a microwave and fridge you can use as well.
Cons: It is a bit of a walk to restaurants or into the town but the beach side is much shorter and interesting. There are some restaurants on the beach but they close quite early in the low season. We took taxis at night. There is a small stream running through the property with a bridge over it. It is full of garbage and needs to be maintained. Hire a couple of guys to clean it up and then maintain it. It was very sad to see such a beautiful maintained garden and facilities and then look at the stream which you can't avoid on your way to the pool and breakfast. There were some lovely birds to see there as well but with the garbage it soured the experience. Air conditioning is a little noisy but we just used the fan at night with screen doors locked.

Cons: It was all good.
7.0 Good
Pros: The breakfast was great and inexpensive. Great service in restaurant. Good cleaning service; beds made every day and clean towels, etc...I loved being right on the beach!
Cons: The beds were very uncomfortable-hard! The pool did not have a walk in area....just a ladder, not convenient for anyone with sore back or knees.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Big and clean rooms. Close to the beach... pretty nice garden where you can play around with your pet.
Cons: Parking, it is not enough
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We didn't eat at the restuarant. We really liked the garden, beachfront loungers, towel service, and staff. The hotel is quiet (for Mexico), pretty, the staff is really great, and it's right on the Rincon de Guayabitos beach strip. The hotel has really good parking, gated at night. The crowd is mostly retirees and nice Mexican families- no loud late-night parties during our stay.
Cons: The door locks are very old and barely functional, they'd be REALLY easy to pop and there's no in-room safe.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: I have gone back several times. Some of the rooms could be updated but it is clean and you can’t beat the view and price. The food and margaritas in the restaurant/bar are good too. It is towards the end of the hotels and a little quieter than closer to town.
Cons: I don’t have any complaints.

7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was good. Location also good.
Cons: There was construction going on as they are adding suites on top floor. During the day all day constant drilling and noise that when on the pool deck was very disconcerting. Never did any of the staff ask or inquire how we felt about it.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: I especially liked being ocean front and a great beach for swimming.
6.3 Good
Pros: There are no phones in the room. They left a menu for their restaurant, but how would you order? You would have to go down to the restaurant to place an order and to get someone to help you with your baggage. The restaurant was fair. The view from the balcony was awesome. To be fair, the hotel was clean.
Cons: No phone or form of being able to communicate with the staff.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The room, pool, restaurant, staff, everything was wonderful. Wifi was best on the balcony, & had to key in password quite a few times, but once connected, it was good. The price went up for next year, though, so fairly expensive. But we are very glad we stayed there, my husband & I.
Cons: It’s quite expensive, but it’s A beautiful place!

7.0 Good
Pros: THe nightly entertainment was OUTSTANDING and equal to a Club Med. The buffet food needed more healthy choices and desserts that werent first class. THe reservation restaurant was excellent and breakfasts were abundant. Loved the adults only pool but no elevator excluded many seniors! We walked up 4 flights 3-4x day! Please leave pool open to 5pm!!
Cons: Poor quality of food on buffet line our first night there but it generally improved as the week progressed. Closing of pool too early.

Pros: elevator in my building

Pros: I liked that they had more than one place to eat. Also that they had more than one pool !
Cons: It was a little pricey for children.
6.8 Good
Pros: Bed
Cons: Food and noise
5.5 Okay
Pros: Staff ceanliness
Cons: Consistent loud noise at beach. 9am to 6pm, 2 speakers top. Volume plus microphone doing a running commentary on games played by a few people. No fridges in suites. Minimal wi-fi. Food barely passable. Service by staff excellent. Five star prices. Two star accommodation
5.0 Okay
Cons: Their costumer services is bad
5.0 Okay
Cons: most of the staff was very limited in understanding english.the whole complex seems be understaffed.sometimes no hot water in rooms other times only not even warm water.
4.5 Okay
Pros: All the staff helped as much as they could and we’re always nice.
Cons: The bathroom smelt like pee VERY VERY STRONG!!! There was little Nate in the bathroom and in the room. I don’t do good with bugs. Or a nasty bathroom.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Overall the staff on the restaurants, and at the bars, even the cleaning people were so helpful and so friendly. Also the food was good and clean.
Cons: I think our experience could had been better if it wasn't because when we arrived the front desk girls were so rude. Every question we had they didn't know the answer to. We waited about 30-45mins to check in as the girls kept helping other people that were already cheked in. Because of the long wait we didn't got to eat dinner at the hotel. Another thing was that we didn't get to eat dinner at one of the restaurants because you have to make reservations and by the time you went they were always booked.

7.0 Good
Pros: Found some english channels on the tv and got to watch NFL...
Cons: Stiff neck watching tv mounted so high up on the wall.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfection. 3rd night we upgraded to a sea view, which the hotel actually had beach access. For the price we could not have been happier. Very small town atmosphere, very Mexican. We were very comfortable in the area, felt safe, etc. Lots of sidewalk foods (kiosks) restaurants etc. ALL the food was excellent. Totally loved the whole experience. First time to Mexico, would definitely go back.
Cons: We appreciate a fridge in all rooms we stay in. Like to have cold beer on hand and cold water is a must for us as well.
4.3 Okay
Pros: Close to the ocean
Cons: I didn’t like having my pain medication stolen out of my bag by the cleaning lady. Trazodon. When confronted by staff she denied it of course. My wife and I both checked all the bags and it was not there. And the suite they showed me online was not what I got. The room was not even close to what we were led to believe on the web. We would never go back or recommend this property to anyone
8.8 Excellent
Pros: I liked the fact that the hotel had spacious parking a good size pool and access to the beach.
Cons: They did not have blankets in the rooms
8.3 Excellent
Pros: In this day and age, good wifi is just the main issue. Many of us use our computers in our rooms and stream. This was not possible. The only frustration with this great stay.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: 5 night stay. We had a simple double room although there are kitchen units available too. Rooms were large, clean and had plenty of shelves and a mirror in both bedroom area and bathroom. Nice big shower with hot water. Easy access to beach with chairs, loungers and umbrellas available for use. With tables and chairs on patio next to beach and loungers at pool we always had a spot to relaxin the sun or the shade.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location and people
Cons: Beds and pillows
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff is awesome and other guests very helpful. The grounds around hotel were impeccable. Looking forward to the next visit. Food around Guayabitos was exceptional and we'll priced.

Marina Azul - Rincon de Guayabitos - Building
8.6 Excellent (14 reviews)
C$ 85+
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: There was nothing to like about this property. Very disappointed. Unclean, very unkept, bathroom very dirty. The garbage had not been emptied from previous guests.
Cons: The entire hotel could have been better. There were workmen working at the pool area, the outdoor space was dirty as well as the indoor space. We certainly would never recommend this property. In US or Canada it would never receive an operating license.
7.5 Good
Pros: Local hotel. Beds were comfy, people were very nice. It’s in the quiet Riviera Nayarit end of Bucerias!
Cons: Nothing else around it. Best to travel with friends and family and rent a Beachfront Bungalow!!
Las Casitas - Rincon de Guayabitos - Building
7.9 Good (223 reviews)
C$ 77+
Overview Reviews
A stay at Las Casitas places you in the heart of Rincon de Guayabitos, within a 5-minute drive of Isla del Coral and Fisherman's Memorial. Featured amenities include luggage storage and a library. Free self parking is available onsite.
6.3 Good
Pros: The 2 site managers were excellent to us and the daily upkeep of the facility.
Cons: For us and the site managers the facility needs to have increased guest supplies and updates to the facility to facilitate normal everyday required use. Overpriced in comparison to other properties close by that offered superior facilities.
6.8 Good
Pros: no breakfast offer
Cons: clean the beach area
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked everything, location, big space in rooms, two bathrooms, kitchen equipment, secure, polite staff, etc
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very quiet!
Cons: The beds!
5.8 Okay
Pros: The man at the front desk was extremely helpful once you got the idea across. He doesn't speak English and I don't speak Spanish. He was very helpful when I got my translator working. The property is very unique with its domed brick roofs, not all rooms have these domes. Inside the dome is enough room for eight people, with a kitchen, two toilets, two bathroom sinks, and two showers. Property exterior was well kept.
Cons: The construction of the loft is made of wood. The builder used sturdy wood just not tongue and grove on the floors. The floors and stairs creek and moan when walked on, not good for late night potty runs as the noise is loud. The space inside the dome is vast and does not cool down quickly even with two air conditioners. There are no luggage stands or shelves for luggage. The light fixtures are home-made with no shades, very Mexican, but our room was dark at night and I wanted a light on to light my path to the toilet and the lights best suited for the job shown brightly at eye level from the master bed making it hard to sleep. The TV is the size of an old solid state 14 inch computer monitor, very very small for the room size and no ABC, NBC, CBS, OR FOX however a few sports and business channels in English. The pool is smaller than most american above ground pools, however the ocean is just a few blocks away.
7.5 Good
Pros: The friendliness of staff there. The pool. Friendly neighbors.
Cons: The Sky Satellite sucked! No signal. The frying pan was too small.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Service
Cons: Bed was hard
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quite. Clean. Very clean pool. Safe. Close to beach and town.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: nice clean close to the beach
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Cozy accommodation. Not crowded
Cons: It was located further from the beach than expected. It was a 15-20 minute walk. It’s close to the main highway so could be noisy at times.

7.5 Good
Pros: Good value
Cons: Noisy - too many over indulged children.
4.5 Okay
Pros: It was close to the beach at a walking distance
Cons: They limit the number of pool towels per room. I paid for a junior suite for 5 people and only gave us 4. Also they only left a thin toilet paper roll for 5 adults per room. there were no face towels, no hair dryer, no microwave oven, no shampoo nor conditioner, no room bottle water
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was overly accommodating, and the location and cleanliness ideal. If they accepted pets we would stay for several months at a time, instead of few days at a time. It was wonderful. we didn't want to leave.
Cons: no pets :(
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Rooms are clean and comfortable, but the walls are paper thin and if your neighbor plays their TV until 2am every night, you'll share the experience. Property is attractive and well maintained. Staff is friendly and helpful, but speak no English. Location is superb.
Cons: Booking.com and the hotel website both advertise "wifi in all areas". This not true, there is WiFi in public areas, the lobby and the pool, only. There is NO wifi in the rooms.
7.5 Good
Pros: Everything is fine, except WF.
Cons: No WF in the room.
Kiramar Los Peyotes - Rincon de Guayabitos - Building
7.2 Good (84 reviews)
C$ 59+
Overview Reviews

6.3 Good
Pros: location & staff
Cons: one burner stove & lack of cutlery
7.5 Good
Pros: Very close to the quiet area of beach , nice 15 min walk into town
Cons: No sitting area outside
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: The building from the outside and the pool look very nice. This however is where it stops! The part I have not seen in any review when I booked was the complete sham of a business this was or the outrageous amounts of noise. There is a detailed list of issues coming in the next section. Honestly can’t say other than roadside appearance there is anything good about Kiramar Los Peyotes.
Cons: 1. Check in process. It’s like I was an inconvenience showing up. 2. The unit. A. as soon as I opened the door the smells of backed up sewer, rotting wood. When I went to advise I was given a bottle of toilet cleaner to spray and deodorize the unit? B. Double bedroom - shower was so gross it was never used, curtains at the windows are white but all stained with what I told my kids rust but with the other findings in rooms better guess is blood, and if you close the door don’t expect to get out of the room unless you jump through the window or have someone else on the other side to open it (one way door knob - I guess this is legal??) C. Master Bedroom - looked okay...until you pulled the sheets back. Without getting to graphic I know of other industries that have cleaner sheets. When we advised the front again we were provided a set of sheets to make the bed ourselves and they were full of holes and stains also. Eventually we were given 2 flat sheets that appeared clean and without issues to sleep on for the night and told the next day the room would be fixed. —-lets just say that if we could have got any type of money back we would not have stayed a second longer—- 3. The stay... A. Noise!!! Non stop street traffic, residential parties, water trucks, construction in the area, old trucks with bad brakes, car alarms....the list goes on. 7 nights and 7 minutes of sleep. B. Room cleanliness...on the 2nd day we did have our room attended too with the sheets on beds changed and made, but that was the 1st of 2 times total the room was ever made up and the 2nd time I had to ask for it to be done, the 3rd was completely ignored and room was not touched. C. Customer service and satisfaction is a joke...every time I tried to talk to someone about concerns of the room a phone cal was made and “a guy” translated my concerns...to go UNRESOLVED! D. NO SENSE TRYING TO TALK TO ANYONE HERE CAUSE ITS ALWAYS A PHONE CALL TO “A GUY”. E. STAY AWAY!!!
6.8 Good
Pros: Quiet street, close to beach
Cons: Pool area didnt have lounges or comfy chairs, not well kept. Not much around for restsurants.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Sheets were dirty from people before us. Lond black hair all over the place. Never cleaned the toilet or the sink, unfriendly staff
6.8 Good
Pros: quiet location, clean facility, close to beach, bars and next town
Cons: I have no real complaints, though A fridge and cups or glasses in the room would have saved me from buying a cooler, ice and a glass to drink from
4.3 Okay
Pros: Only plus was closeness to beach.
Cons: Staff was completely worthless. The TV didn’t work and I asked three different people if someone could get it working, nothing was ever done. The internet is nothing but frustration. There are no restaurants in walking distance, just one very small store with limited offerings. The experience was so bad I left after the second day and I prepaid for four nights. I will never make the mistake again of prepaying a reservation in advance - you have no recourse. BEWARE!
5.8 Okay
Pros: Clean and cool
Cons: No hot water for showering, told front desk twice. Had hot water only 1 day out of 7.
3.3 Mediocre
Cons: Cold showers, dirty pool, noisy, on busy road, staff’s children running in the hall and screaming, bathroom fixtures non functioning, room not ready at check in time, Need I say more!
4.5 Okay
Pros: It had two beds and a bathroom
Cons: Room wasn’t ready when we arrived at 4:30. No elevator to a ready room three flights up. Small room. No bath mat or face cloth. Big industrial size toilet roll not put in the holder. Staff were doing double duty cleaning and at the front desk.

6.3 Good
Cons: Not pleased that price with booking.comm was 521 .. Canadian dollars but the resort said it was 545 US- Actual price needs to be disclosed to a consumer otherwise I would consider that fraudlent.. They took no refundable 706 dollars off my mastercard immediately
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: It was quaint
Cons: The leaky sink, there are five roosters next door that don’t sleep.
7.5 Good
Pros: The facilities were adequate, The ocean view from the 3rd floor was excellent. The staff were friendly and tried hard to make the stay pleasant
Cons: I was double charged on arrival, had a hastle to get them to check with the booking agent after which they agreed they had overcharged but claimed they couldn't reverse the charges to my credit card. After I threatened to cancel all the payments and let them fight with the booking agent they finally agreed to refund most of the overcharge in USD cash but stiffed me for 190 US they claimed were additional taxes. They then stiffed me another $100 us with an inflated exchange rate they claimed was the best they could do at their bank.
4.5 Okay
Pros: its only one block away from the beach, close to any store for food or almost anything elese
Cons: parking without rouf , very small area around the pool, only 2 pool tables, no small rooms in the 1st floor
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: nothing
Cons: the hotel is in horrible condition, dirty, not even toilet paper, there were ants everywhere and the pool was too cold for this time of year, I did not enjoy at all!
4.5 Okay
Pros: By the beach
Cons: Pillows were ancient Bed super hard
4.3 Okay
Pros: Room was OK size. The air condition was very good. It did have a bar size fridge.
Cons: No washcloth, hand towels, no cups in the bathroom. No water pressure in the shower. Bed linen was stained and torn. No chairs in the room just 2 queen size beds. Very small balcony with partial view of the beach if you moved to the corner n looked around a tree. When we booked it through booking.com the price quoted was not the total price. At the hotel desk they add approx $50 USD in taxes.
6.3 Good
Cons: Had to go back to front desk twice. Once for A/C remote, then for wifi password. They could have saved me a trip (or two) at check-in.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing at all.
Cons: It was worn out. Even the lock on the door was challenging. I had to put towels over the floor drain and the shower drain to keep the sewer smell down. They offered to show us a different room but we left and did not get our next 3 night's money back..........never again! The beds were worn out as were the pillows. I used my own beach towel to cover my pillow.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Dirty. Needs extreme updating. Water leak in bathroom. No water pressure. And water was cold! No bathtub for kids. Front door lock broke. No elevators. Beds hard.
