The location was great 5 mins walk to everything, room size large, facilities great, lovely breakfast and loads of it, staff all lovely. They even popped us a kettle in after requesting one.
There was no door on our bathroom which was disappointing
We had a lovely, 4 night stay in Villa Pica Paca. We were personally shown to our room and the room itself was clean, bright and comfortable. It had a very reasonably priced mini bar/ fridge in the room and a small but effective shower room with WC, sink and hairdryer. Breakfast was good. There was plenty of choice (cereal, fruit, pastries, meats, cheese etc) and was served from 7-10 on weekdays and 8-10 on weekends. There was always a member of staff around if you had a question or issue with breakfast (we didn’t!). There is no lift at the hotel so this may be an issue for some people but it is only set over 3 floors so it’s manageable with luggage etc. The reception staff were lovely. Really friendly. We had an issue at check in, where the lock to the door had broken so we had to use the master key for the duration of our stay. This meant that staff were unable to clean the room and supply fresh towels etc. But all we had to do was ask at reception and they were more than willing to hand us toilet rolls, towels and bedding. The hotel is in a quiet street, very close to the main old town (2 minute walk) and shops.
There is a lot of building work going on in the area at the moment and whereas the noise was minimal, the view from the window wasn’t great. There were no tea / coffee facilities in the room. It would have been nice to have a kettle.
Really friendly and helpful staff, speak English, couldn’t be kinder. Excellent breakfasts, first-rate coffee and buffet. Perfect for the solo woman traveller, 24-hour front desk and all at a great price. Position for Old Town, attractions and public transport great, also lovely riverside walks, but also on a quiet side street. Have booked to go back. I like the young modern vibe too.
Paintwork a little chipped in places, no lift to the first floor.
Huge, spacious, bright space. Comfortable sofa and bed. Equipped kitchen. Kind and helpful staff. Quality breakfast. Many restaurants, pubs and grocery stores are nearby. Very close to the old town, with many public transport links such as airport, Sopot etc.
Toilet hygiene is poor, cleaned before use. The shower head holder fell out of the wall. The faucet was rusty and scaly.
