Extremely friendly and likeable hotel, where from arrival to depart we were treated as special guests. Pietro in particular was so friendly whilst expertly guiding us through our stay, dealing with our room requests, parking and dining needs and identified some great routes and viewing places for the sites we wanted to visit.
Nothing of note
The property itself is lovely. Room is clean the staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good also, and out room had a balcony that overlooked the ocean.
Now i didn’t expect the noise to be so loud. I understand that it was festival season, but I have never been there and the clubs on the beach - all the clubs - play music and bass until 3.30am and sometimes longer. This is every single night of our stay 9-19th August. I would have stayed in a more quiet part of giardini had I known. The beach clubs are so close it sounds like the music and screaming crowd is in your room. I’m not blaming the property - but I wish hey would tell you on the booking system before you book. Some people might love that party atmosphere and music. But we wanted to make the most of our days and get up early, so it wasn’t ideal for us. The staff at the hotel are very friendly. But the staff at the lido that’s part of the hotel, could really smile more. One man in particular was the grumpiest rude person we came across so only went to that lido once and chose other ones after that. I will stay here again if we travel to Sicily , but definitely not in August.
The Staff were outstanding in their help, professionalism, attitude. Cleanliness was second to none. The location is fantastic.
Noise levels in both rooms made it very difficult to sleep (at times unbearable). Centrally located but the balcony doors need to be extra sealed to reduce noise levels. Shower in Room 204 was tiny. In fact for one member had to leave the door opening while showering as he couldnt turn around. Whereas in Room 203 where our friends stayed there was a double modern shower which was fantastic so bathroom in Room 204 needs upgrading with Balcony doors. Beds are very hard - even a duvet under the sheet would help !!
The staff on reception were extremely helpful and courteous. They spoke a good level of English! Food was delicious and well prepared.
Nothing - it was all excellent
Very clean property and friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was good with plenty of fresh fruit as well as the usual continental elements. The room was lovely and kept very clean each day.
Only thing to mention is that the private beach was not free. The cost is €10 per day for a pair of sunbeds and a parasol. There is no option just to use your own towel on the beach. The car parking charge is very clear and we happily paid it(€15 per day). I think the website should be clearer about the beach. A lot of the beach in Giardini Naxos is sectioned off and a charge applies. There are public sections which are free and we enjoyed those after a short walk.
When you stay at Sabbie d'Oro in Giardini Naxos, you'll be next to a golf course, a 1-minute drive from Giardini Naxos Beach and 9 minutes from Lido Mazzaro. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
