A very interesting hotel. The hotel was built and operated according to environmentally friendly principles. Suncells provide energy. Geothermal flows provide heating as well as cooling. Building materials were mainly wood and timber etc. But there was no compromise with regard to the hotel experience strictly speaking. A very nice lobby area, and a pretty cafe / restaurant completes the picture. No major road next to the hotel which means that the setting is fairly quiet for a big city.
Maybe the bathroom could have been designed more creatively relating to the overall design theme of woods and timber. For some people location might be a problem, but the S-bahn station is very nearby and from there on it is only 8m to the main railway station. The roof was full of bushes and plants according to informational material in the lobby. It could have been cool had there been public access to the top of the building.
The location was excellent and the view from the room too. The room was spacious and beautifully furnished. Breakfast was too expensive and not much variety.
They would not offer a water heating kettle even when my friend was sick and needed hot water. Had to ask for most of the ordinary toiletries where in other places they would be in the room. The booklet in the room clearly indicates that iron box and board are available for the length of your stay. we saked for it and the following day it was taken away and never returned.
I Especially liked the 'sustainability' concept. They try in a subtle way to encourage their guests to think about water usage, about the environment, etc. The interior of the income hall and the restaurant is impressive. No comments on the rooms, it was large enough, nice bathroom, and it was quiet. There is no fridge in the room due to the sustainability concept ;). f you have time, try to eat at the restaurant, they serve great dishes!
The system to use your room key to activate the elevators is a bit clumsy.
Ambiance, restaurant staff are very nice, reception staff really nice .
No tea bags in the room,no water for drinking and no kettle in the room...room service staff very forcefully...and sometimes a excessively knocking on the door..
The design of hotel and each room is great, Staff there also very nice and friendly
