Excellent restaurants, comfortable accommodation.
Living in Edinburgh we were in Inverness overnight to facilitate a visit to a Nursing Home in Dornoch. We wanted an overnight hotel, reasonably central, to facilitate bus journey to and from Dornoch. This worked out excellently and if we are doing the trip again we would want to stay at the Glenmoriston.
I think is a good location, overlooking the river and close to the centre of Inverness. The double superior room was spacious and comfortable. Great breakfast in hotel. Good powerful shower
I think the executive double rooms are too small, fortunately we were moved to a superior room since our television was broken. This was a much better room. Also is a shame that there is no swimming pool or beauty/spa area
The food was fantastic, all staff were very attentative, Excellent all round
Room was very cold on arrival took a long time too warm up. Sharing platter for 2 to start only 1 scallop and 3 prawns ??????? but plenty of everything else
The helpfulness of the staff
As a single female traveller I felt welcome, safe and secure. Staff went out of their way to be helpful.
Good quality room service food
Would have liked to have had air conditioning - the room was a little stuffy even though the weather was not warm The windows opened - which is fine - but I cannot sleep with open windows.
Quiet & friendly
no 2 point plug for RSA appliances
Staff were very friendly and welcoming. I had my room upgraded - though the building was a bit of warren so thought I was perhaps going to end up in another building, but it was just the extension of the orginal house. Standard of Decor within public areas was very good and of a standard you would expect
Although in an upgraded room, I struggled to see what the "extras" where apart from bathrobes. I have stayed in other hotels in Inverness who have similar standards of room and are lower priced.
