Traditional room with very gentle staff. The room facilities are not luxurious but overall very nice!
Traditional dinner and breakfast are included. They were really good, but it is not possible to make any choices so you should like fish ;)
With the (japanese) meal we got an Explanation of "what was what" + + the beautiful temple (& park) opposite the hotel
Almost nothing. The ryokan has charm potential but it’s been neglected.
Staff is way over their heads . I felt sorry for them- two older ladies and ? We were not greeted with the common irasshaimase, no one helped us with our lugggage, there were no house instructions; so-called onsen was dirty, no dryer. bathroom had used toothbrush and used towles on the racks, drain was stopped up, hairs on the tatami, dusty/smelly cushions; uncomfortable and very thin futons, ( didn’t sleep), windows so dirty could not see clearly through. In 35-plus years of enjoying ryokans this is in a class of itself. I have never experienced such poor service or run down ryokans. Too bad because there is potential charm in this Taisho-era ryokan.
Very traditional hotel. Nice sea view from the room.
The hotel would need a renovation. The room and the common area were not properly clean. The staff was friendly but could not speak english.
This place is awesome. The nicest people run It! The food was amazing. Lobster done a difgerent way every night! Free green tea in the hall that was amazing. One had a roasted flavor I was filling up my water bottle every chance I got with it. Little lobster cracker treats each day. The public baths were wonderful! Very clean everywhere. The ocean was gorgeous. And I loved walking up and down the beach each day. 2 min walk to the wedded rocks. Shuttle to and from train.
