The hotel is on a quiet street, about a 10 minute walk from downtown Malinalco. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful; served us a nice breakfast by the pool. The hotel property had lush vegetation surrounding the building and the pool area which was nice. I thought the rooms could have been a tad cheaper compared to other destinations I have been to in Mexico. Would most probably stay there again if I go to Malinalco. Malinalco is a very cute town; it has a bunch of little shops and restaurants in the downtown plaza. The street market which is open only during the weekend I believe, is very lively and adds to the delicious food options. The convent/church in the town has amazing frescos painted mostly on its inner courtyard walls. The hike to the pyramids is a MUST.
I liked the location.
The price was high for what you got. Essentially it’s a bungalow of two homes with rooms. The rooms all have sliding doors that don’t locked easily and I was worried about security and safety. The staff locks the front gate, so if you want to leave or come back you have to call a staff person. It felt more like a prison than a retreat.
the place is great, the adaptation to the house is great The gardens make you feel really outside the city. great local food the staff is super friendly, the location is Ok, not far from all the action in Malinalco.
well just a tiny detail: the garden was watered at 6 AM, it could wait lillte late.
