Paid WiFi is a turn off. I'd expect a 5* hotel to provide this all inclusive
the location is so good, in the middle of Jaipur. The food is mesmerizing too. You can find indian and international(just in case if u're tired with all the spices :) ) taste in the menu. The most amazing one is the staff, they will gladly tell you about everything and help you thoroughly
the wifi charge (wifi = additional service, you need to pay for it) :( i think, since its a 5 star hotel, the wifi is already included in the room charge as a general service that most of the hotel/even hostel had. Well, i just found out late -through my tour guide- that it's a common things in india's 5star hotel. and 1 thing that I (and my friends too) was so dissappointed : when we arrived to check-in was already late around 9pm, one of our rooms weren't ready. On that day, there was an international conference held in the hotel so it was kinda hectic. But i already informed that i'd like to have a room with connecting door since the day i booked it (1 month before D day) & yap they replied it and said gonna fulfill my request. One of the rooms weren't ready because there were a woman who hasn't checked out yet so they asked me to wait around 1 hour in the another room. 30 minutes later, they called my room & said that the woman extended her stay so they moved us to another room with a connecting door since they didn't want to let us down. Sadly, it turned out that the room was older (haven't been renovated like the first room) & located in the another side (i think in the back side) of the hotel. Truthfully, i prefer the first room than the second one.
We were welcomed with flower garlands and cold drinks into the majestic lobby. The hotel had a royal look about it. The staff were extremely friendly and were going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We were travelling with a 3 year old who quickly made friends with all the staff at the hotel who were kind enough to entertain him. The cook even made to order a specific dish that he felt like eating. I would definitely stay here again.
The spice levels in the restaurants was a bit high, even when we had requested it to be reduced.
The staff were great! Namely Ayushi, Kanak at reception. Sandeep and Parimal at Pavillion restaurant
The property is dated, it needs renovating
The ’Pink City’ of Jaipur, as the capital of the desert state of Rajasthan is commonly known, symbolises the royalty of the Rajputana Empire, and the hotel takes the guest on a royal journey. The pink city of Jaipur is symbolised by the royalty of the Rajputana Empire and their ruling in India. Ensuring to take its guests through the royal journey of the Rajput’s both through service and stay, ITC Rajputana celebrates the spirit of Rajput palaces in the modern idiom. The location that was once the estate of Prime Minister of Jaipur was later built into this magnificent hotel where the guests are welcomed in a royal atmosphere through the lobby leading into two sets of staircases with a Jharoka enhancing the outside view. The running water streams, the waterfall in the lobby, the ‘Wall of Mirrors’ and the ‘Bazar’ selling the goods prepared by local craftsmen have all been inspired by the forts and palaces of the region. ITC Rajputana, thus, reflects everything that is splendid about Rajasthan.
