“Excellent location next to Danjo-garan temple complex (both nice to visit during darkness and daytime). Nice room (it seemed recently refurbished), clean and comfortable (Ryokan-style). We chose a room with a Japanese garden/pond view and with a private toilet (new and modern with washlet). Very peaceful place and area. The whole ryokan is tradional Japanese-style and very beautiful. Food simple temple/buddhist-style (dinner and breakfast), but delicious and excellently presented. Morning ceremony was great, very mediational and great for anyone wanting to experience it for the first time. Staff very pleasant.”
“The monk style meal was delicious and the prayer ceremony in the morning is really something to experience. Don't forget to check the cemetery at night, quite something too (you can rent a bike from the hotel if necessary).”
