Very rude and didn't stay because wasn't aware of needing credit card for damage deposit...
I loved the ambiance - the rooftop bar ( with snack/ light dinner options), valet parking for $15! , all the staff were fabulous- so helpful and friendly! Just a very comfy and luxurious in a not TOO fancy way!
It wasn’t inexpensive .... which is a nice way of saying it is kind of expensive. The room. Not the food or other amenities. I chose it despite the price - as a treat to myself. I’d love to come again and/ or be notified if there’s ever a little sale.
Gorgeous hotel, very helpful staff, delicious food and tastefully designed rooms.
That we didn't stay for longer
The Charmant Hotel in La Crosse, Wisconsin is located in the downtown area of the city. It’s a luxury boutique hotel that is housed in a building built in 1898 that used to be a candy factory. The name “Charmant” comes from a line of premium chocolates that were once produced in that building.
There are 67 rooms in this historical hotel. They are broken into eight categories. Some of the amenities for guests to enjoy, which are dependent on the room choice, include river views, dining tables, sleeper sofas, HD flatscreen TVs, private balconies, Bluetooth speakers, and Euro-top mattresses. The rooms have a very traditional and elegant feel to them.
The Charmant Hotel has partnerships with many of the areas local attractions. Guests can easily participate in all of what the area has to offer like water sports, fly fishing, ghost tours, brewery and winery tours, and a cruise on the La Crosse Queen paddle wheeler on the Mississippi River.
Dining at The Charmant comes with choices. There is The Restaurant that serves French-inspired food in a casual atmosphere. For beverages, there’s The Parlour, serving coffee during the day and adult drinks at night. There are lots of choices for drinks and food like pizza, salads, and paninis. Finally, there is the Sweets Bar where guests can indulge their sweet tooth.
The Charmant Hotel has a very unique history in that it was once a candy factory. One look around the hotel and visitors can see that history played out in its luxury design.
