Summary of reviews

Guests say
Guests consistently praise the hotel's excellent location, especially its proximity to Fremont Street and downtown attractions. Many also highlight the cleanliness of the rooms and the inviting atmosphere. However, frequent complaints include excessive noise due to the club or entertainment on-site, making it difficult for some guests to rest. Parking availability and clarity are also recurring issues, with several guests finding it hard to secure a spot or feeling misled about free parking. Service receives mixed feedback, with some staff members being helpful and others less so. Overall, the hotel is appreciated for its location and cleanliness, but noise and parking detract from the experience.

The tower at Gold spike is terrible. Requested to move to the pool side after the first night. In the tower, they escort you to the elevator from the entrance and won’t allow you to site at the bar or participate in the activities unless you go back outside and in a different entrance, escorted, even though you have to walk through the area to get the elevator, escorted.

Pros (+) Nothing
Cons (-) When there are literally ZERO people in your “backyard” and a DJ is blaring music until 2 am it is shitty. I got a room here cause I needed a place to sleep because I was driving 8 hours the next day. I should have slept in my car and would get better sleep.

Pros (+) The location and ambiance. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Loved my stay.
Cons (-) Older building needed a few minor remodels, but overall wonderful vibe.

Pros (+) The location is great if you want to be downtown. I was in town for Life is Beautiful and this was the perfect spot to stay. The room was clean and everything was comfortable.
Cons (-) The common areas were a little dingy, the elevator sucks, the bathroom was small, and there were not enough outlets (and none near the bed - this seems like a no brainer for any hotel). The pictures are very flattering, but it didn't quite deliver on the expectations.
