Overview

When you’re looking to step into a different world, you are truly understanding the idea of vacationing. Leavenworth, WA is a great example of this. The city is known as “Little Bavaria” and has lots of German-style businesses and attractions. It also has Bavarian style lodging but the key to the success of these hotels is having the amenities that modern travelers expect. When you are looking to go off the beaten path but maintain some familiarity with what you’re used to, then you will most definitely appreciate what’s going on at the Obertal Inn.

The Obertal Inn has the façade of a quaint Bavarian Inn but boasts the very best of modern travel comfort. While the décor is a homage to a different time and place, the service is exactly what you would expect. Walking into this Bavarian-style lodge is just the start of great choices. You can enjoy a single room or a three-bedroom townhouse. There are plenty of amenities within the walls of the hotel as well. Among the amenities are what you expect – 32’’ LCD televisions, Blu-Ray players, coffee makers and even complementary WiFi.

Other elements that you will enjoy are the spa tubs in the four King rooms. These are great for getting a good, relaxing soak after a long day of hiking and enjoying the city. Be sure to take advantage of the buffet as well – there’s lots of great food to enjoy.

Staying at the Obertal Inn is the ideal way to enjoy a place that’s off the beaten path.

Pros (+) Bed was comfortable. Room was spacious and quiet. Streusel was excellent!
Cons (-) Personal preference, I do not like watching TV in bed. TV was positioned so it was only visible from the bed, not the sofa in the seating area.
