8.0 Excellent
Pros: All the little extras
Cons: Parking ok but could be better
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully fitted out.Comfortable ++ beds , sofa bed in living room was a good one and my adult son gave stamp of approval. Lovely setting with access to beach /sea and outdoor area. Private hot tub was a treat. Kitchen well equipped for a family
Cons: Hard to say this was an excellent place to stay , helpful gracious host , clean tasteful accommodation and good value. We are used to a very quiet home as we live remotely rurally. There was a little traffic noise. Wouldn't bother most people.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view was to die for, right on the water, spa fabulous my family fantastic
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I was traveling with a girlfriend for a week on the island and Sooke was the first stop. Both of us were absolutely delighted with Seascape. The accommodations were beautifully decorated, bright and immaculate, and the beds were as comfy as it gets. We felt like we hit the jackpot! We stayed in the 2-bedroom close to the street but were not bothered by noise. We had the chance to see the other rental, a one- bedroom with sofa bed in the living room, which is near the water, and that was really choice because of the view and the deck where one could lounge while soaking up the scenery. It is at the bottom of a few sets of stairs so if you’re infirm it might not be your pick. Jo-Ellen is a wonderful hostess, very helpful, a lively conversationalist. and clearly enjoys her role. We didn’t do much exploring except to spend part of one day at Sooke Potholes, highly recommended. On a warm day, the cold clear water is refreshingly welcome.
Cons: Zero complaints.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great little cottage. Very cute, very clean and absolutely perfect for a couple. The owners were very friendly and helpful with suggestions of places to visit and restaurants etc. We followed their suggestions on several occasions and found them to be spot on!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nicely furnished clean apartment. The private hot tub was great and the owner was friendly and accommodating.
Cons: No complaints at all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved everything. The hosts were amazing, the accommodation above expectation in all areas, a truly wonderful experience
Cons: Not one thing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I expected a standard hotel room with clean and comfortable rooms. The Seascape definitely provided that, as well as so much more. Our hostess was friendly and welcoming, and invited us to use the barbecue, hot tub and grounds overlooking the bay. The backyard was spectacular! There were several books for conversation and nature watching. One morning we watched a seal and four otters scamper around. The water was so clear that we could stand on the dock and watch the crabs move around. The decor, both indoor and outdoor was notable with many interesting artistic touches.
Cons: Nothing to do with the Inn - the main road into Sooke downtown was incredibly busy with a constant stream of traffic on this long weekend. Although we were close enough to walk to many locations in Sooke, the lack of sidewalks made this feel dangerous.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location on the water was just excellent. The cottage was was bright, private and quiet, and just spacious enough. (My wife called it "cozy.") It was well-equipped, spotless, and felt like we were the first ones to have stayed in it. The hot tub, which we enjoyed every night, was just fabulous. We can't say enough about the kindness and hospitality of JoEllen and family: they were so welcoming, their hospitality was sustained and genuine through the trip, and the information they offered us about what to see and how to get there and places to eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner was always right on and invaluable. I am not sure how anyone could do better for an overall truly outstanding vacation experience anywhere.
Cons: The time we had to stay: we don't want to leave!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic spot, right on the seafront great place to unwind after a hiking trip in the rockies.

Pros: Very private suite, spacious and well stocked. The views were unbelievable. So beautiful. The animals were an added bonus. Mike cooked great breakfasts and had lots of local information to tell us. We will for sure tell our friends about this B&B and definitely will be back! Thanks Mike and Diane!

Pros: Beautiful views, farm animals, great owners
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, lovely view, friendly farm animals, nice outdoor sitting area. Breakfast was delicious & very filling. Hosts were friendly and helpful.
Cons: Suite had a small kitchenette but very few pots, pans or covered microwave dishes so it was tricky to cook our meal.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: - great view - we got an awesome early breakfast because we were leaving quite early - we could leave parts of our luggage in the hotel for free because we were going on a trail - really nice owner
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Welcoming and knowledgeable hosts with happy animals and beautiful views.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful, quiet, serene property offering a million dollar view. Hosts were friendly, respectful and casual while still providing exceptional service. My friend and I were hiking the nearby Juan de Fuca Marine trail and Diane was very helpful going above and beyond to answer questions we had about the trail. Both Diane and Mike provided us with a delicious care package when we headed out including homemade jam that we enjoyed each morning on our trip as well as homemade muffins and granola. We stayed with them again at the end of our journey a few nights later to find the same hospitality. Mike built us a fire at night and supplied us with wood to carry on as we wished and then cooked us a beautiful breakfast in the morning which we enjoyed in the company of some fellow guests from Italy. We would absolutely recommend their B&B. In fact, we discussed buying a night or two as gifts for family.
Cons: Nothing! It was really wonderful.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: We liked the lovely large room with a cozy queen bed. We slept well in the quiet, clean and very peaceful room. Gordon make a delicious full breakfast using organic eggs and bacon from their farm.
Cons: We now know to stay on the West Coast Road, Hwy 14 after passing through Sooke to get to the farm stay instead of driving 10 km on the windy Otter Point Road. The farm stay is a short drive off Hwy 14 at other end of Otter Point Road.
9.0 Excellent

Excellent breakfast basket provided with fruit, yogurt, home-baked muffins, protein bars, granola, cereals. etc. Fridge, hot plate, toaster oven, microwave. We cooked 2 meals on the patio grill. If anything is missing, just ask hosts and they are happy to oblige. Beautiful water view from the patio and the hot tub. Walk to Wiffin Spit and the Sooke Harbour House for dinner, if that's your thing. Whale-watching business on premises. Less than 2K to center of Sooke. Close to Sooke Potholes, dining, breweries etc. Highly recommended!

Pros: Location, location, location. It was a gorgeous piece of property with views of the Juan de Fuca Strait and steps away from a lovely walk on the waterfront.
Cons: No. Wished we could have stayed longer. Would have liked a bigger screen TV.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hostess was very friendly and took time to show us around completely (inside and outside). Enjoyed proximity Whiffin Spit (lovely outdoor walk by the sea) and Salty Tower's own long dock. Did not have time to enjoy the hot tub or spacious deck reserved just for guests. Breakfast was generous, continental and contained something for all tastes... this truly "wow'd" us.
Cons: Nothing... everything was great.

Cons: A small coffee cafe would be a nice addition to the resort

7.5 Good
Pros: How the 2 bedrooms n bath were at opposite ends of condo . Good deck n Nice view of ocean. Nice grounds.
Cons: Couldn’t get the shower head to work. Had to take bath. Thought hot tub would be more communal. Not just 3 person
9.5 Excellent
Cons: The family living space has big furniture. Smaller dining table would make more room for living space. Also, the main floor didn't have a washroom. (I guess a bit of a sacrifice in order to have a bigger kitchen!)

Pros: Quiet, clean, can get crabs.
Cons: A bit far from Victoria

Pros: I liked that we were a short distance from Sooke and loved the water view. I liked that there were two patios.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The cottage was well-equipped with a super comfortable bed as well as a jacuzzi. The view was absolutely stunning and featured ocean, mountain and forest as well as a lot of birds - I could even see the Olympics. The hostess, who was incredibly warm and hospitable, brought a delicious breakfast for me to enjoy at the terrace. The location was great - it's only a 10 min bus ride from Sooke, and the bus stop is right at the driveway. Also, a private path connects the B&B to the Galloping Goose Trail through a wealth of blackberry bushes.

Pros: It was a great time in this B&B. "A must to visit place." Karen and Rick were so lovely. Made great proposals of visits and hicking around this place. Very good breakfast! (Special for us, coming from Europe, the North american breakfast is often realy bad) But here it was Fresh and very good. In case we are again at Vancouver Island, we will come back!

Cons: The weather!!!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The view and the location was great to travel east and west on the amazing winding highway. There are food places to explore and friendly people to chat with everywhere.
Cons: There is no breakfast offered at this time of year. Please read the fine print. Many places are not open on Mondays or open at all in April. Breweries, museums, some restaurants only open for a few days a week or not at all until May.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a beautiful place to spend a couple of days!! Relaxing, quiet, with spectacular views across the Strait to the Olympic Peninsula. Rick and Karen are the perfect hosts - they have lots of info about the area, serve a wonderful breakfast and are ready to help with anything you need. Thanks OWI for a perfect getaway to a beautiful part of the world!!!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The beach at the site was our favorite of the trip. Both of the hosts were so available, kind, open and supportive of us enjoying ourselves. They were extremely helpful and added to the ambiance of our experience. We would not hesitate to return to this location and recommend it to anyone who wants to "chill" and enjoy themselves.
Cons: There is never enough time.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property was beautiful, it was well kept and met all of our needs. The breakfast was delicious and Karen gave us great recommendations for our stay on the island. Our room was a nice size and had a small fridge which was helpful. The bathroom was also a great size for 3 women getting ready in the mornings. The jewel of this property is the view and the beach access. We went down in the morning thinking we would come back up after a few minutes and ended up spending a couple of hours down there. Beautiful!
Cons: There really wasn’t anything we didn’t like about our stay here. I did wish there was a fan in the room but that’s a stretch.

5.0 Okay
Pros: Staff booked myself and my father in to a one bed despite us both standing there and high vacancy. They were then quite snotty about moving us. The bathroom fan did not work, and strong odor of feces in 2ndroom. Front desk never did send maintenance.
Cons: Front desk (nighttime?) staff extremely rude. Lied to my dad when he brought up concerns about bathroom fan. So ignorant they booked a single bed for us, then made out like it was our fault and punished us by assigning a terrible room.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: good
Cons: no
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The front desk staff were excellent as was the location.
Cons: I wish we had more natural light in the room.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location of the Prestige is beautiful. It is right on the water with beautiful views. The property has many areas to sit and enjoy. We especially enjoyed the evening when the fire pits were lit and we could sit and stay warm while enjoying the evening outside.
Cons: Nothing fell below our expectations. Everything was wonderful. We enjoyed our stay and would have loved to stayed an extra night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Location The Patio with fire pits The Room The Food
Cons: Liked it all
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location . Sooke is lovely , small but great for everything going on the water and the Sooke potholes are great
Cons: Lack of outdoor pool . Pricey too
6.8 Good
Pros: The nice view. Free parking. The great bar with good Food and a nice waiter.
Cons: We met a very condescending guy at the reception, No room service( room check) at the first day. There was no offer for activities in the near area.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great place and great property. The restaurant was good and very well priced. Great location and views.
Cons: Pool is a bit small and the wifi they provide guest is garbage. You can pay extra $$ for faster wifi. At the rate you pay to stay here they should not be trying to squeeze you for money for faster wifi.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The view and our room was beautiful!!
Cons: The hot tub water was very green and unusable
6.3 Good
Pros: The location was good.
Cons: The room we requested which was supposedly a premium ocean-view, had a slight ocean-view, but the balcony was adjacent to the room next door and literally you have no privacy. The host at the restaurant was extremely rude telling us how busy the place was and how we really should have had reservations but she would "fit" us in. The food took a long time which would be understood, however, there were numerous empty tables for the entire 1 1/2 hr we were seated. tables
7.0 Good
Pros: the location
Cons: the bedroom could have been cleaner
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was amazing and the location was perfect.
Cons: The staff in general were very unhelpful. Prior to my visit I sent them 2 emails and no response. I actually had to visit the hotel prior to my visit to confirm my emails.

Featured amenities include a computer station, dry cleaning/laundry services, and multilingual staff. Planning an event in Sooke? 9.4 Excellent
Pros: Helpful and pleasant staff. Went out of their way to assist us with our needs. Delicious food. The room service breakfast was great! Awesome wood burning fireplace. Outdoor jetted tub was amazing. Large warm housecoats. Complimentary port and cookies and welcome note were nice touches. Oceanfront. Beside a park, nice walk. Saw seals. Dog friendly. Cute decoration of the room, not "cookie cutter".
Cons: Reception closes at 9 p.m. Room service didn't include salt or pepper. No pool. Not enough newspaper to light another fire in the morning and no kindling. Pricy. Decent for off-season and with good value.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel and location was amazing we had a room with a terrace and a hot tub that looked out on the ocean. The ground and gardens are just lovely. The elevator is a bit dated with painted aquatic scenes and the bathroom tile is a little outdated but the warmth and comfort and views are first class. Isis in the copper room was our server and she was the loveliest women who greeted us each day and made us feel at home.
Cons: Grant at the front desk is a little chilly. The other staff are warm and funny but he seemed rather bored or ambivalent. Isis was the best of all the employees we met. My partner worked for four seasons for ten years and told isis she has what it takes to be in hotel management, she is a charming and efficient.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: I loved the charm of this location. The view from our room was amazing and we enjoyed the jetted outdoor tub and it’s privacy on our deck. The bed was really comfortable and we slept very well. I loved the little details all through like the fine wood worked pieces of furniture, painted sink and shower, the elevator was decorated like an aquarium, and the complimentary port and cookies. There was a working wood fireplace(which we didn’t use because it was a warm night and there’s no AC in the room that could cool things off) and a lovely sofa area to sit and enjoy the view. We walked the grounds and enjoyed checking out the bfast room and formal dining room. Everything was enchanting.
Cons: We found this property last minute on booking. It wasn’t cheap but it was a good discounted price for the location and charm. Not sure I could have otherwise afforded to stay here. Jessica at the front desk was amazing to deal with but some of the other staff, which seems to have had some turnover lately because nearly everyone We interacted with at the front desk claimed they were new, were a bit “unfriendly”. The ice machine wasn’t working and when my husband went to get some ice for our drinks he was told to come back soon and they would run out to get some because the ice machine was broken. (A common problem here one staff said to him and he was as frustrated as we were because it’s not been replaced in years). He went back awhile later and they told him they weren’t going to get any ice. It was a small thing but it messed up our romantic evening drinks and interrupted our time together running down to check on its status. Overall it was a small detail in a night of enjoyable moments made possible by a well located charming building and the amazing views.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Wifi was excellent. Room was very nice.
Cons: There was a problem with the room hot tub that we reported but was never fixed while we were there (even though we were told they would address it).
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Needs maintenance- looks rundown. The “world famous” restaurant was a great disappointment-their liquor license expired and so no wine with dinner- very understaffed and slow.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Big room with comfy setting - nice big bathroom - beautiful view - staff - pleasant surroundings
Cons: Beds not that comfortable - the garden is terribly neglected
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Sitting on the patio and enjoying the view
Cons: Meal choices
7.5 Good
Pros: Beautiful location. Great view! The copper room restaurant served delicious food. The salmon burger was amazing!
Cons: Some bathroom fixtures dated. This was not a major issue.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Quality
Cons: Nothing
6.8 Good
Pros: The jacuzzi tub, the food, the wood burning fireplace, and the view. Also, handy to have a minibar fridge in the room; much appreciated.
Cons: The service in the Copper Room seemed incredibly slow; staff were not unpleasant, but presented with a flat affect and ordered items were forgotten.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly helpful staff. Cozy sitting room w/ fireplace and beautiful view of the harbor/ocean. Couldn't have asked for more. Loved it and would come back again. Hopefully soon. I recommend taking the gardener up on her tour.
7.5 Good
Pros: good view from our room, comfy bed, close to whiffin spit
Cons: more staff at the check in desk
